The MAC geo comply issue I had is still not resolved. Reinstalled and still having the same issue. Windows continues to work fine in my case.

How about the other MAC users out there?

I just finished a 2 hour session and everything was normal(no disconnects or location issues). I know this sounds strange but party would not work in one end of my house but it worked in the opposite end. Try moving to a different room or something. It just might work!

I'm on a Mac and tonight was the first night I was actually allowed to play on borgata! Seems like whatever issue they fixed worked for me. Very exciting!!

Any other software differences? I don't seem to have a time bank button and only get 20 seconds to act before my cards are mucked on Borgata.
I think they are pretty much the same. Borgata has a darker background. Here are the PP screenshots.

As a person who experienced an issue with geo location in connection with the update, I can now say that it has been solved for me, and I have been identified as within NJ. Thank you for your hard work Party rep and keeping us in the loop.

Yippee! I can finally long on to Party site from my MAC. But the cards are still zoomed to the point where they are almost unreadable. Is this being fixed?

I uninstalled the nj.partypoker software from my MacBook pro (and also deleted the gc-browser-plugin-client_2_1_3 & gc-browser-plugin-client_2_1_7 from internet plug-ins' folder), restarted it and then downloaded the nj.partypoker software again (5 pm EST on 12/1/2013). It told me that my location could not be verified. Then I went on to nj.partypoker.com, and tried to play in browser; it asked me to download gc-browser-plugin-client_2_1_7 in order to continue, which I did and still no luck with verification. Please Party_Rep, help because this is frustrating and I’m out of ideas at this point. I live within ten miles of AC and still can’t play on your site.
Finally, to seek help from technical support over the phone is just as frustrating as try to solve the situation alone because they don’t seem aware of anything and in addition, their communication skills are very limited.
Thank you in advance for your concern and time.

Update for this MAC user:

After the update today I am back to playing about 30 minutes before I get a geo location issue. It resolves itself quickly and I'm right back to playing without logging out-logging in. I like the fact that I can continue to play out my hand when I get the error. The only problem is that once it fixes itself it automatically sits me out and wants me to click "I'm back." This is fine if I'm folded, but it will do this in the middle of a hand, effectively folding me out.

A friend was able to replicate this on a different machine, location, & set of wi-fi networks. Both of us had 100% success when using a Windows machine.

So - whatever they did last night has definitely helped the MAC situation, but it does not appear as stable as a windows connection yet.

Still can't play party poker on my mac; anyone still having issues with geolocation?

Same here. Ever since that update I am coming up as not in NJ.
12-02-2013 , 08:09 PM
My internet security is still blocking the software because of suspicious cloud 9 hit. Now it is also blocking the browser plug in.

If you ever want me to play at your site you need to resolve these issues. I have asked more than once and have not seen a response. What is going on? What is being installed?

Playing on Borgata without issue. What are you installing that is causing my security program to throw up on your install?

5 days and counting without being able to play on Borgata or Party Poker sites (and I live 5 minutes from Borgata). Geo location cannot verify that I am in NJ.

Did you get back on Party Poker/Borgata sites Royal17? Since this thread has not got much attention lately I assume everybody with Macs got back in action. Great for them and sad for me since I still can't be located as in New Jersey.

I am unable to verify my location after trying everything in this thread. There is very little information on things to try anywhere to be found. I would think this info would be on the company sites instead of a 3rd party forum. Are we left in the dark here?

You said earlier that you need info on the geo plugin; try this:

https://geoloc-real-nj.partygaming.c...gin-client.dmg

>then go to downloads and double click on it
>then on the display box; drag the plug in icon into the internet plug-in folder and you are done.

Good luck

Yes I have been playing on Party and Borgata no problem.

That is until tonight but everyone is experiencing issues tonight. (WSOP is booting me too and never had issues with them)

Kindly mention your e-mail address/ telephone number (Appropriate time to call) so that we can have someone call or mail you at the earliest. To resolve the Bonus issue a rep would need your account name to further investigate.

The plugin is a small piece of software that verifies your precise location as required by New Jersey regulations. You must install this plugin to log-in on the website. Please allow the software to be downloaded by temporarily removing the block. We assure you it is not a malicious software.
The software is meant for the poker client and the plug-in for the Instant (Browser) version. For assistance please contact Customer Care:

To verify your location please enable your Wi-Fi and disable any Remote access software like “ardagent” while accessing the poker client or website. You have correctly installed the Plug-in.
To disable the prohibited software on your Mac:
Use the Activity Monitor in the Utilities folder of your Applications. From the Activity Monitor you can force individual programs to quit; make sure you see them disappear from the list to verify they're closed down. If this does not resolve the issue, you may need to remove them from your computer completely. To do this on a PC, go to the Control Panel > Programs > Uninstall > and select/remove the program from the list. To do this on a Mac, locate the program in your Applications folder and drag to the trash.

We apologize for the inconvenience and admit it must be frustrating. Unfortunately our system is not able to detect your IP address though your plugins are installed correctly. We would soon implement the Cell Tower location check which would resolve any issues arising due to the IP not getting recognized. Alternatively, please let us know what would be the good time to contact you and troubleshoot the issue.
