So even those deeply anti-poker people would not have to suffer a smidge. Seems odd to me. Of course even having poker illegal anywhere is very odd to me.

why do I see this cartoon image of monkeys on both sides of the Colorado river in Laughlin..
the ones on the Nevada side are eating bananas and playing online poker.
the ones on the Arizona side are pissed off and throwing their poop at the monkeys in Nevada.........

The phone would die. However I have a friend that lives in Vegas. I was thinking was opening a second line for like ten bucks an leaving it on an plugged in at has house indefinitely if that would work

I don't think it would work. I believe you have to answer a text message occasionally which means you gotta physically be at the phone.

Sorry that I haven't been able to answer specific questions ITT yet. As always, if you have a question about your specific account, contact playercare@ultimatepoker.com.

Next week, by the way, 400 people max in the Sunday $100. Did I say that already? ... More coffee, please.
You're doing the lords work Dax

I trust you can back that up with a reference. I gave one (of several I am aware of - including 2+2s Pokercast) that precludes any Pokersite accepting US players at any time during 2006. It's not like the UIGEA was news to Pokersites allowing US players after 2005.

If you're right, where is 888 and it's B&M partners? Surely they were good to go when Nevada legalized online poker in February of 2013.

You've gotta think about that a little bit folks. But the ugly truth is all right there.
Why do you bother?

As close as I've come to determining who owns/operates Ultimate Gaming (whatever), which we're told operates Ultimate Poker. It would seem the operation is controled indirectly by Fertitta Interactive LLC, apparently organized outside of Nevada for some reason, which is owned indirectly by the Fertitta brothers, who also indirectly own the UFC and have a good many enemies as a result of mistreating their Station Casino employees as well as UFC fighters screwed out of sponsorship deals through another Fertitta control company.

Hey Dax.....

Can you not have people living near the NV border confirm their residence via driver's license of something? But then, I suppose that wouldn't prevent keep them from playing from the other side of the state border I suppose

Has anyone tried logging in from a Starbucks or some other free Wifi location? I'm receiving "Unable to verify Nevada location" errors.

If people can fight and gamble their lives in the military at age 18, why can't they play poker online at their homes? I have a nephew(19) who's at Nellis air force base that's been clamoring to play, that's why it came to mind.
Its for future purposes some states gambling ages are 21 others are 18. If the intended purpose is to expand to other potential markets by partnering with other states where some gambling ages 21 and not 18.

Yes, I have been able to play at all free and paid wifi that I have tried.
When I use my phone as hotspot is when it won't verify because it gives off random IP addresses all over the US but never in Nevada where I am.

If that doesn't work then its your phone, you may need a $15 phone from target that will get verified.
05-06-2013 , 06:50 PM
^Ya, I've noticed in the past that when I was in Vegas using my iPad or iPhone mobile hotspot it shows my IP address as somewhere in AZ (usually close to Nevada, not a totally random US location). And same thing when I'm home in NYC I've seen it show New Jersey and CT IP's but don't think ever a NY one.
05-06-2013 , 06:56 PM
I usually get California different places or Witchita, Kansas.
I called ATT and they said there is no way to make you have a static IP or to make sure you pick up a local IP where you are located.

Does anyone have any hotspot not from a cell phone that is giving off Nevada IP's when your in Nevada, I would buy one of those.

When Dax said this morning that they turned off IP locators I thought it would work then but he said he mispoke.

Dax,
So you really aren't that much of a Canucks fan after all?

How come none of the stuff in the client that requires an IE page to open (wallet, acct history, etc) don't work?

It could just be my computer but I doubt it. Have a solid connection and all browsers working fine.
05-06-2013 , 07:09 PM
I had that problem the other day using my desktop but my new laptop has worked fine but suddenly today my laptop not showing IE stuff in the UP application. I think they made some kind of adjustment that screwed things up.

Sigh... I get home from work and now I get this on both computers:

Any ideas? I think this was happening earlier to some people but I can't find it in this giant thread.

Edit: It is verifying correctly though and I can play. Just IE errors everywhere and I can't get to the cashier or anything in a popup window

I was able to get it working from home with my Sprint phone. I just hate having to grind at home all day.

I'm not giving up just yet.

Confirmed that some stuff is down atm. Hopefully it is due to an update in progress.

Seriously if you don't know the answer to this how can you spout off "opinions" and act like they hold some validity.

btw what Online company do you support? Whomever you answer people on here can attack their credibility etc. far more and with more substance then your attempts at derailing Ultimate Poker. UP right now is the safest spot for players to play online poker ainec.
