This, obviously.

3oz Bacardi- I can understand your concern for having your money on a secure site as all of us have been affected by this in the past. But seriously UP has got to be 100% guaranteed safe.

They are licensed by the Nevada State... not some pay us 20k a year and we'll give you a stamp.
They own many casinos.
They own the UFC.
I believe they are billionaires.
They don't live on some rock in the middle of the ocean able to dodge prosecution.
Everyone involved has prior I-gaming experience and have reputations to uphold.

I guess nothing in this world is totally safe but I'd trust them with my money over any bank in the world.

The other locations were all Starbucks wifi located from Sahara and Nellis to Charleston and Rainbow. I do not know what my IP address was at any of those locations.

It is possible that they all show up with the same IP address because they are on the same corporate network? IDK

Seems like it is generally assumed to be the phone, but in your case it obviously isnt.

Lots of burner phones may have been bought for no reason.
The most likely culprit, IMO, is that the software is comparing the IP location and the cell location and failing if they are not within some arbitrary range of each other. It makes sense, as a basic security procedure, that I should not be able to log on in Las Vegas if the phone on the account geolocates in Reno.

I get an error when I try to look at hand histories. This is what it looks like. I'm running windows 7. Don't use IE at all, but everything on UP opens in IE for me. I don't know why.

The inability to look at hands is really hurting me. Any ideas?

The earliest version of the idiom is in the form “if the worst come to the worst,”

.
For contemporary usage, however, it doesn’t matter much which version holds a claim to originality. Both the worst/worst and worse/worst variants are perfectly acceptable in standard English.

Figured this out. It's a timing issue. You have to wait approximately 3 minutes for the HH to be accessible.

Any chance of this getting fixed soon Dax?

No such a thing.

You've always gotta add on the "mandatory resort fees" which tend to run around $15/night.

Sometimes, the resort fee is higher than the room rate.

Stupid Vegas casino-hotels.

We can't play on Stars because playing poker on the internet is illegal under Federal Law.

Right?

Has anyone put 2+2 together on this little gem yet??

Just looked at a HH where I and 1 other player went to showdown. River was check, check. HH shows my cards, but not his. He was in position and my hand was good.

First time I've seen this in online poker. Was this by design? Or is it a mistake? If by design, is it going to be changed in the future? Does NGC mandate this?

So many questions now.

Oh, well, OK then. I know I feel better with your assurance, whoever you are.

So just trust them! That's your advice?

OK, quick history lesson...

Playing poker online is NOT illegal. What the UIGEA did was make funding a gambling account illegal.

The actions of Black Friday were a result of those sites charged (PokerStars, Full Tilt Poker and Absolute/UB) because they masked the transactions, making it a bank fraud case. At the same time, it was a violation of the UIGEA on that same account. While there are many sites that people can play on, their reliability is spotty at best.

We can't play on Stars because Stars kicked Americans off their site; there is no federal law prohibiting playing online poker.

Well, I guess I'm one of the lucky ones because I can get on and got verified and I can play. My question is, do you allow a 2nd member of the same household to start their own account and play and if so, can they both use the same phone?

Downloaded new IE10 for win 7 64 bit, updated Java. Restarted. Still same issue. I can never download flash on this computer maybe because 64 bit don't know if that's the problem.

Yes, they did. They were put in a position by the US government to either kick American players off, or suffer further bank account seizures and fines. They did the wise thing, but they could have kept servicing American players through their .eu domains and told the DOJ to **** off.

In a day that has been referred to as Black Friday, the FBI seized the domains of Full Tilt Poker and PokerStars, blocking US poker players from playing at these hugely popular online poker sites.

Duh. That's why I specifically stated .EU domains, for guys like you. Also, their client server was wide open on that day. I wasn't blocked from connecting to the server, except Stars wouldn't let me play.

I live in South Lake Tahoe and our internet does run through Nevada, but despite that I live on the Cali side of the border by about a mile and it looks like (ironically) I'll have to play at the casino if I want online action. Regardless, a great step in the right direction.

I must say I am curious how taxes will be dealt with in this newly regulated arena.

i'm trying to get set up with the site. i have a mac computer and have to purchase windows 7. has anyone did this yet? how is it? they say they'll pay back the $200 after we paid that much rake but how would we as players know when that happens? is there a rake tracker on the site? thx
