respect to UP for doing reasonably well with this so far. paying support to grind this thread/2p2 and adjust accordingly is a very pro move that i would not expect most groups of rich luckbox old suits to be doing

i'd bet a lot they're very much doing that for good reason i.e. to make games running seem bigger than they are etc

Yeah, it's not like the local print, radio and tv media have covered this at all.

I would have thought that comments from someone with several thousand posts to their credit would have been a little more lucid.

What about RDC? I don't see how they could detect that. Although RDC might be painfully slow.

never was able to get my NV location verified, found out im Samsung SGH T-759 instead of 1759, and I downloaded the owners manual, and tried shutting off the 4g and only using 3g, but it then let me not send out any texts to friends and didn't help me In getting online UP so I switched back

doubt I will ever be able to get NV location verified and play online.

This cell phone thing is a disaster. I can't believe an IP address verification and scanning for VPN is not sufficient! If this is a NGC rule they are shooting these company's in the foot. How can anyone tell me verification at the casino cage is not possible. This is the daily job of the people who issue Player Cards and cash out chips. If Verizon and Metro PCS were on board along with Casino verification there would be 3,000 plus players online. We waited nearly a year for these company's to get this going and this is what the result is? Nearly 24hr wait for an email, what did you expect? Of course thousands of emails would pour in. If that is a surprise then I truly doubt this company has much common sense. A large number of player's still can't get on even with the proper cell phone carriers! I

The important thing is that I am playing. That's all that matters.

sure..give it a whirl, and AFTER they catch you and permanently ban you from ANY vegas online poker forever, tell me how it went.....AGAIN..... PEOPLE..
STOP looking for ways to circumvent their software..if you are so bent on
playing, FLY out there and play or send someone out there and back him.
you can download their software and WATCH from anywhere in the the U.S.
That way you get the thrill of winning and its all legal
05-02-2013 , 06:06 AM
they HAD to do it this way.
It was the only way the NEVADA gaming board would license them
05-02-2013 , 06:10 AM
what good does it do for the the casino to verify you and you walk out the door and drive back to California or Arizona and expect to just log on and play anyway.
They HAVE to be able to locate you at all times. its the only way Nevada would authorize
online poker in the first place. so yes, in your theory, you would have 3000 sign ups and about 1500 of them would be trying to circumvent the software.

I'm literally so ecstatic even if this doesn't directly impact me. 0.o

Will this start the "snowball effect" earlier than originally expected now?

Downloaded client. Clicked on "Create Account" and get the following pop up box - Unable to download. The system cannot fins the file specified.

The software is installed and I can view games in progress, although I so get the same pop up when opening a table to view.

Any input would be appreciated.

Sounds like the client didn't install correctly, thus maybe a library file it's expecting to find is missing. Might be worth uninstalling and reinstalling to see if that corrects it.

Are you being serious 888 isn't even 10% the size of Pokerstars...Also your arguments make no sense, it is entirely possible that online poker is becoming less populair despite 888 gaining populairity, that's just a stupid argument. Even if you count Full Tilt Poker as not owned by Pokerstars EVERY OTHER SITE combined on pokerscout is still smaller than Pokerstars. Include FTP and it's not even close.

if u mean me my Samsung SGH-T759 phone that wont work is a tmobile phone. Dax called me and told me the problem is probably the cell towers on the cali border, and that people in Pahrump also cannot use the site. So I guess all of Jean Primm and Pahrump are out of luck. His engineers were supposed to email me back.

What do I need to play?

Aside from a network connection, you'll need a cell phone on AT&T, T-Mobile or Sprint networks. Additionally, you must be able to receive text messages from short codes: ours is UPOKER (876537).

Wait, what? I have Verizon.

We use your cell phone to triangulate your position in Nevada. Verizon has not approved this contract, so if you have issues, please call them and voice your concern. Tell them you want to play on Ultimate Poker and Verizon doesn't support location triangulation.

I'm not getting text messages from you.

Make sure your cell number is correct (duh). Then call your cell company and ask them if "short code" SMS senders are blocked. If you can get them to unblock it, great. Please let us know if you manage to do this - we're dying to know how.

I can't be location verified, but I *am* on AT&T, T-Mobile or Sprint.

If this is the case, you might have an LTE enabled phone that's using a nearby cell phone tower that won't location verify (for us). If so, try disabling LTE (google it) and relogging in.

I have another cell carrier (MetroPCS, Virgin).

Sorry, we don't support those carriers yet. We're busting our butts to do so, though.

I haven't been verified yet. Should I go to the casino and deposit?

NO! Part of Nevada regulations include multi-factor authentication (MFA) to withdraw. Our MFA requires that you enter a PIN that we send to your cell phone in order to cashout. If you haven't verified your cell phone, WE CAN'T SEND YOU A PIN. In order to not screw this up, we don't allow you to deposit until you've verified your phone.

Can I get a "drop" phone?

Yes! Several people have reported picking up a cheap phone, enabling it on AT&T and successfully logging in. Here is a list of verified phones and/or locations you can buy them:

Spoiler:

What if I'm on a Mac?

You can still play on an emulator. If you don't have one, download and install VMWare (it costs $200 or so), and we'll reimburse you once you play about $200 in rake. We originally freerolled people this, but someone posted it on a Mac forum, and, well, sorry. Bye, bye freeroll. Email us once you hit about $200 in rake and scan a receipt, and we'll credit your account with $200.

I'm getting some sort of weird certificate error when I try to download it.

This is caused by internet explorer and an error with our certificate. You can still install it by "Save As", then find the file (It's called UltimatePokerSetup.msi) and run it.

You can also use Firefox or Chrome.

You can also lower the security on the internet zone temporarily, if you know how (and want to avoid FF and Chrome).

My Norton said that this file was bad and it didn't get downloaded?

It's in your Norton "quarantine". Remove it from there and you'll be good to go.

you realize you could save yourself thousands of dollars by sending them to a free opensource virtual platform instead.. Like oracles Virtual Box?

You won't get penalized for signing up now. If we roll out a VIP program or bonus program, we'll make it fair to the players who are already signed up. At a minimum, if we did anything like an initial deposit bonus, we'd offer it to everyone who was already a customer when we rolled it out.
So you're saying if a rake back program starts anytime after I sign up, I can still be part of that?
