There's a way to keep the pressure on without being a complete jackhole about it. Why don't you work on being able to do that, while they work on the other stuff?

Yeah because it's fair to compare pokerstars which is available to all the people of the world outside the US is comparable to those ppl who have to be physically present in NV. I think my point is valid

im coming in a week and hope they have some good MTT tournies up by then.
I fully expect them to have 5000 players in the next 60 days
So... you fully expect them to become number 2 poker site in the world? In 60 days? In one state? With 2.7 million population.... Quite mad you are.

This is just the beginning. You are being far too concerned over nothing. These sites are not just going to throw in the towel on a multi-billion dollar industry just because some of their first fish bust. They will work on interstate compacts.

THEN I went to Red Rock and deposited money at the cage. The cashier asked for my Nevada ID, which I gave her. The deposit went through no problem and I was given a receipt. (Note: The address on my Nevada ID is different than the address I used when I signed up, since I recently moved)

THEN I went back to my computer and tried logging in. After logging in, it said...

"Account Status: Unable to Verify Nevada Location. Please contact Customer Support."

Of course, the cash I deposited is sitting in my "wallet." But it won't let me sit down at any of the tables. When I go to my Account Status tab, it gives me three green lights for Email Address, Mobile Phone, Age and ID, but a red light for Nevada Location.

The page that gave me the Nevada Location error told me to disable 4G/LTE on my Iphone 4s. My phone has 3g, so there is nothing to disable.

Everytime I try to log in, I get this same message, but no matter how I explain the situation, people keep telling me to log back out and log in again.

BTW, is there some way to log out and back in without closing the program entirely? Maybe this is why I can't get on.

Note: I was never given a Pin number through text. I only got the initial two texts when I signed up.

I am in the same boat. I do have 4G LTE but I have disabled it to no avail. The vendor they use for triangulation(locaid) has no problem locating my phone in 3G or 4G LTE (AT&T Samsung galaxy express) on their demo website. But somehow the UB software is failing miserably.

I don't know what the problem is. I am guessing that the ton of Verizon towers in Las Vegas is causing some phones to be routed thru their towers based on licensing agreements and partnerships with other companies. But that is only a guess. I would be interested to hear if anybody can locate their Verizon phone using the locaid website.

They have my deposit. It cleared my bank account today. I am going to drive to the Target down the street and get a burner phone and see what happens.

But think how many tourists and PRO's and rec players are gonna be in Vegas in the next few months with the WSOP going?

Insane amount of people, who most will at least try the site I imagine.. and everyone who busts out of tourneys/drunk whatever, and wants to play some poker to chill etc...????

Right now they OWN the market in Vegas, I think this will be the start of the 2nd poker BOOM, I just watched a live stream of congressman here in WA saying how stupid the Felony for online poker is and W?HY? did we pass that? Lets just decriminalize it! So it's happening soon, I think this will snowball very rapidly.

I know its only been like 24hrs, but tables have seem more populated then they were yesterday. I think population has increased 4x as much. also added some new limits the past 24hrs

It's unfair to compare Ultimate Poker to some of their competitors at this stage, as they are not on the same playing field. As other states and Countries accept Ultimate Poker then is the time to pass judgement.

Personally with a complete level playing field I think Ultimate Poker will be the #1 site in the world.

in about a week or so I would like to see more tourneys of different stakes bein goffered

Until he pms this to me or answers in this thread they won't have me as a customer. I don't want a monetary payout I just want the option to choose one offered promotion in the future if I sign up now.

where do you come up with the #2 site
if they get 3000 people they will be around the #18 site.
considering they are #44 after 24 hours
I would say
#18 is attainable.
check out www.pokerscout.com

why cant they get 150 new sign ups a day for 60 day, especially around june 1 when the WSOP starts.
.like I said, I will be thrilled if they are at 2500 by june 1

The biggest sector for online poker was America. This site wouldn't need the row players to be the biggest if they can get all states involved.

I was actually looking at players Online, not just cash traffic.

New sign ups =/= people play 24/7. Vastly different

Afaik, he already quoted and answered your inquiry about rakeback about an hour after you asked yesterday.

The only time I've seen "Unable to Verify Nevada Location" is when I turned the phone off before login. I believe the only way to logout is to select Quit under the Account menu option from the main poker lobby (which essentially just closes the application).

I'd take bets that within 1 year of all sites being on a level playing field that Ultimate Poker will be the #1 site in the world. That means if their competitors could find a way into the US... or if they can't UP's ROW player base would be higher then Pstars.

Has anyone come up with preliminary strategies on how to exploit the tendencies of the fish that might be playing in the first year?

Are they gonna be limping a lot?

Loose-Passive?

Or are the grinders gonna be populating the game, making it hard for anyone to profit?

What percentage of players are likely going to be the type that just learned about this while eating at the $6.99 dinner buffet at the Boulder Station? And what percentage will likely be pro grinders from the Aria, Venetian, Bellagio, and Wynn, not to mention spillovers from pre-Black Friday?

Advice needed. Thanks.

Yo DAX, you have any #'s yet of how many have signed up?

I'd bet that, under those conditions, it will be one of the four in NV.
