How about you explain how a player playing against the casino is the same as a player playing against other players. That is the stretch we need to clarify before I attempt to persuade you as to why you are wrong.
Nothing really needs to be clarified; it's pretty obvious. Even the dumbest of dumb (barring those special few) realize they are -EV vs the house; at least in poker, the dumbest of the dumb think they are actually winning players.
you guys with all your james bond gimmicks to outsmart the casino and play in NV with some phone trick or vpn RISK EVERYTHING in the future if you get caught cheating, and you had signed your name and agreed to the Terms Of Service to play. There Will be a database. You go on it, your screwed 4eva.
This is a day I have been dreaming of for years. I commend you for helping launch this site. However, I find it hard to believe your support team didn't expect a huge volume of emails. Especially since you need a particular type of phone service to play. I have Metro PCS which I assume is worthless in this situation. If I buy a cheap pre paid minute AT@T phone will that work? And what type of special training do you need to verify ID at the casino cage? This is their job and would make this process go faster.
The phone thing does seem really silly. You HAD to know that tons of LV residents don't use the 3 carriers required. On top of that, it seems like you've not done very much testing as there are people in this thread with all of the requirements to play but are still locked out with their money in limbo.
It all seems so shortsighted.
Oh please stop whining. Of course on launch their support is overwhelmed, how many hundreds of trained staff do you expect them to pay? Of course on launch there will be verification issues.
As for 3 carriers...what do you want them to do? Delay the launch until the hold out agrees?
On the first page there is even a moan that it was soft launched not advertised in advance...something that would have made the first day worse for customer service and meant a later launch, you would need to be ready before setting that date.
i don't know why you guys are complaining about software. If you look right now the best poker room with cashouts currently for US players is ACR and BCP. And their software is much worse than Ultimate Poker.
been almost 16 hours now and still not heard a word back about the ID docs I mailed in, will be glad when dax wakes up, logs back on 2+2 and reads my earlier message to him.
funny thing is NO one really is asking stations casinos to verify docs at the casino, we understand u don't want to train every employee. all we really need is the physical location of where the office is they are verifying all the emails and docs at, and the ability to come into that EXACT office in person where the professionals who know how to do it are located. I am afraid my docs wont be approved and I wont ever be able to play.
