Also, can we just get verified in one of the Station Casinos?

I sent in my documents almost three hours ago, plus I received the phone verification code and entered it when prompted at about the same time, but that's still not verified either.

According to the poker room manager at UP on quadjacks, 100BB games were excluded for the moment to increase liquidity so players don't go busto soon. They are already surprised with how many real money depositors they have had today, so 100BB and higher stakes games may come sooner than expected -

You can always tell when these articles are written by people who don't know anything about poker.

I'm getting the same message repeatedly.

Controversy extenders? doomed - history - repeat

Oh I see, you're a shill. Industry standard by what measurement? If you mean a bunch of industries where shadiness is the rule like payday lenders, adult-oriented dating sites and offshore sportsbooks, then yeah. If you mean where real financial organizations like Wells Fargo, et al or even a company like PokerStars, then no.

If iovation is piggybacking on a 3rd party to get around Nevada licensing, that will be most interesting.

Perhaps it is useful to recall that FTP was iovation's largest customer and iovation was primarily responsible for many of the mysterious account closures without explanation.

Weird, lengthy pause before pot is shipped to winner. Need to clean that up.
04-30-2013 , 02:54 PM
lol what terrible branding - seems like you wouldn't want to use the word "ultimate" because of the UB fiasco.

on the other hand, I realize that the owners own the UFC, so there's that too

No hand histories.

Be wary of signing up early. A lifetime of rakeback is a way better deal than being one of the first players.

didn't think of that

Look, I'm sure there are going to be hiccups in the first couple weeks, and there are lots of issues to sort through (HUDS, Iovation, verifications, etc.). But I just want to say THANK GOD online poker is back in the States. No matter how things go with this particular site, or whether they end up being able to compete globally with Stars, it's a new beginning. It's a start. Give them time. Don't jump to conclusions or start derailing the train with negativity. It sounds like they have a rep on here who is willing to chat with players, even if it's informally. And the Fertittas and the UFC know what the hell they're doing. They built that brand from a couple million dollar purchase into a billion dollar empire. And they have complete respect for their fans and customers. So if anyone has some cred, and knows how to cater to the average US Poker playing rec who goes to UFC events this is a match made in heaven. Good luck Ultimate Poker!! We're rooting for you up here in Canada as well!!

I am overwhelmed by this lol. Historic day for Americans.

Congrats to Stations on getting here first.

Done signing up, only need the (verizon) confirmation. No rush though. What people need to realize is this is still the testing phase. They don't want to get ahead of themselves when there are still regulatory hurdles to jump.

Request: large cards and type for those of us who are have difficulty seeing.

One question: Will the client eventually expand to the sports book? (I hate the sports book client.)

The whole rakeback thing and affiliate locking are done.

These are smart guys. Some of whom are from pokerstars. Don't expect revenue share or anything other than a VIP program.

You might be able to get something for signing up at some point, but it won't be rakeback.

While this is probably good advice, I'm risking it because in a legal and regulated environment those type of underground shenanigans don't last very long.

Last edited by NhlNut; 04-30-2013 at 03:06 PM. Reason: There is no rakeback on Party Poker LOL

From what i have been able to see this company wrote no software and is just using UB (Ultimate Bet comprised) software.
I would be impressed if they even employed 1 American programmer much less a team of them which is ideally what they need.

You are correct. At least progress is being made. I just think any US poker site limited to states that are legal will be lame. They will not offer what pokerstars and tilt did in terms of mtts and player volume. SIGH I can't wait for online poker to be legal in US again with Tilt and Stars. I imagine the buzz will create a boom and a lot of Americans (including many fish) will play. I have my popcorn ready!

This is just an opinion, and I don't want to sidetrack our thread for the day, but I'm really interested in how people feel about this. The rake thread is probably the best place to chat about it.
I agree with your personal view of HUDs but as a business why would you want to give the better players already developing their game the additional edge of a HUD? Makes no sense to do it and have them kill the fish quicker.

does the site have a riggie name yet? by riggie name i mean the name used after someone loses a big pot. ex: "jfc more like JOKERstars"

i nominate ultimate raper
