I'm guessing the answer is no but I don't remember seeing this anywhere else. I understand that to play real money on UP you have to be present and geolocation verified in nevada. Are there any plans to allow players to play either funny money stakes (to encourage casual players to at least check out the software) or to allow players to play in freerolls even when not present in nevada? I would think that freerolls and funny money might not require nevada presence but I'm not sure.

Also, kudos on getting verizon sorted out. Now if I only lived nevada.

Did a little research on domain ultimatepoker.com. It has only been owned by 3 different entities. Needed to pay $49 to find out all details. I'm too cheap.

Anyone think its worth doing?

They should remove the Verizon notice really, I was able to register my Verizon mobile without a problem.

Which company is now handling verification? Did Verifi/CAMS choose another vendor or did UP change to another verification license?

Bump - Nice read.

This is like if General motors purchased patents and trademarks from General Electric, more than coming up with a similar name purely by chance.

Not that there's anything wrong with purchasing domain names from cheating scumbags. But it's not the same as registering a similar virgin domain name fresh.

Note I don't think any of you guys actually have anything to do with UB - but obfuscating things like this probable domain transfer doesn't help suspicions.

Had six tables going just fine for over an hour, and three of them just disappeared. The other three kept (and are still) running fine. I emailed support to let them know and help solve the problem, but pretty strange.. Anyone else experience a 'partial crash' like that?

I was on a single table just a minute ago and was booted.
05-12-2013 , 12:46 AM
In the lobby there were 8 or 9 tables of the stake/limit I was playing, and now there are only 4 or 5...Putting two and two together it looks like they completely disappeared for everyone..

A server crashed, ring game players will be repaid automaticly while tourney players will need to be refunded manually. We're looking into the cause.

First day on the site and I was playing in the 1k nightly. 16 left and a notice pops up saying that due to technical difficulties, the tournament will be cancelled. Happened ~15 min ago. No money back in the account. What's the deal?

edit: saw that the server crashed. Is everyone that entered the tourney getting refunded or the prize pool being split among everyone that was left?

Happened to me earlier today, around 3pm as well and the table that crashed i was all in with a set vs top pair after the turn. I was playing 4 and just that one disappeared. Thats the first problem like that ive had.

On my game history there was a line called recovered orphaned chips. It appears they refunded what i had on the table prior to the hand which sucks cause it was a nice pot.

I'm glad to see UP parted ways with iovation. It seems like they have a good team in place to deal with the unavoidable growing pains. I'm really going to watch the Nevada online landscape closely.

I certainly feel your pain on that one. I guess you just have to look at the incredibly soft games as compensation for the inevitable growing pains that everyone involved in this thing are going to experience...

Don't quote me on this but I'm pretty sure that all changes need to be approved by the commission along with new contracts put in place.

From what I've seen that's their normal request and procedure.

Because corporate representatives don't just make public announcements without the go ahead from their bosses who need to first be discussing it in board meetings and stuff. Bureaucracy takes about two days.

What happened to the 6max tables below nl50?
