just buy a T-Mobile or cricket throwaway for now IF you want to play. or wait and see if the Verizon situation works itself out. you are in the same boat as most of us. I just assumed you could walk in to a casino, make a deposit, and go upstairs and play in the room or anywhere on my laptop. I would imagine they will have almost all the glitches figured out by may 30 and the new software update will be alot like the ones we are used to playing on. if buying the cheap phone and paying $10 a month for a prepaid card is the biggest headache, im down with it. I just want to know my money is safe and be able to cash out some money every few days. it sounds like that will be the case.

initial thoughts:

1. site's gonna be essentially dead during night hours, need to come up with some kind of promotion or something along those lines to incentivize users to play late or early
2. resizing tables is a must
3. on all ins it takes too long before the next card is dealt. also on showdown takes too long before the 2nd hand is revealed after the first is. it's like you're always being slowrolled
4. additional variations of sngs (4 man, 18 man, 45 man, w/e)

Definitely agree with Red Rock being the best; however, not only is Aliante no longer a Station casino, I'm pretty sure they don't even have a poker room anymore. I believe that they closed it last year.

I was under the impresssion that you didn't need to reload a drop phone after initial setup.

Can someone chime in on this?

The reload cards typically expire after a certain amount of days regardless of whether or not you have used the minutes. Usually it is 60 or 90 days. It will say on the refill card.

Is the El Cortez a stations casino that you can deposit/withdraw?

I had heard... but have not yet tried... that during withdraw, you are going to need that phone line so they can text you a withdraw PIN as another layer of security if you plan on making that withdraw in person.

as I said, I have not tried to withdraw so I can not say for sure... but this is what the cashier told me as I deposited.

It is possible that they all show up with the same IP address because they are on the same corporate network? IDK

I must say I am curious how taxes will be dealt with in this newly regulated arena.
Basically, they are being handled exactly like they are for live poker. Tourney wins over $5000 generate a 1099. Cash results are the players responsibility. Cage transactions over 10k create paperwork.

The big difference is if the IRS goes to UP and wants to see your results they will get that information.

In .25/50 blind NL someone raises and all fold it shows Player X wins 1.25 which is how much the pot would be without a rake(SB, BB, and the .50 from player that raised) however very quickly you see .05 in the rake area, so it should say Player X wins 1.20.

Obviously the numbers are much higher on bigger games, taking preflop rake is horrible and I'm guessing WSOP.com and others will not but we will have to wait and see.
No it doesn't... it shows it as an indicator if it went to flop this is what the rake would be, if someone wins preflop the rake goes back into the pot and the player wins it all.

Dax tweeted that they increased the timeout on LBS. However, it still doesnt it work for me. Locaid demo locates both of my phones (One at&t, the other t-mobile) within 5 seconds (one in 1 second) and within 300m. Yet the UP software still fails to verify location. I hope someone from UP pays attention to the posts above from ZeroPointMachine, as that seems to indicate some other sort of problem might be involved.
Anyway, back to Brick & Mortar

Yea, upon farther inspection this morning I saw that, but its still weird because that would be like live poker putting a drop in the rake based on action and then if no flop then pulling it out. I know PS or others never did this. Pretty sure its a glitch that they will take out.

I doubt it's a glitch, no reason to take it out, it doesn't matter since it returns the money.

Does anyone know if the Samsung t-139 Tmobile prepaid phone: http://m.bestbuy.com/m/e/product/det...=1218151631340

And the $10 pay as you go (90 day expiration) the cheapest option if you're a Verizon customer? AT&T expires every 30 days and is $15

Looks like it to me, just wasn't sure if anyone had issues with it?

The locaid demo located my Verizon phone accurately and within 5 seconds, so I'm not sure why they're claiming that it doesn't support that carrier. I think there's some other sort of issue too.
