If you're at Panorama, probably Wild Wild West (tropicana and polaris, near the In & Out). If you're a bit north of that, probably Palace Station.

If so, what could cause the problem?
If Scotty hasn't answered this yet (I'm sorta trying to catch up), try contacting your cell phone provider and seeing if they cull out any messages. I've been hearing of some people who just simply don't get "short code" messages (since they're usually spam and stuff, but we send ours from UPOKER).

Hey Dax, are there any plans of setting up walk in deposit facilities near the Reno/Tahoe area? If I choose a wire transfer deposit option how long does it take for account to be credited? Thanks for your help itt.

Seems like 2p2 has overwhelmingly said no to anonymous players. Fine by me.

So if you are a resident of a state where its legal, you can play in any state correct?

Doesn't seem bright. Location services provides us with the exact location (longitude and latitude, we convert it internally to a location that we can figure out if it's in-state or not). I would imagine if we suspected someone of running a "cell phone farm", we'd probably shut down those accounts.

Don't game the system, guys. We want to go the straight and narrow here. If you're gonna put effort into playing poker, I'm sure there are more productive ways to do it.

Besides, Vegas is lovely! Come and spend the summer with us. 78 degrees right now at 9AM.

That's what I wish they would do. I'd be playing now

Maybe it has something to do with VPNs?

Locaid appears to be the service provider for your Location-as-a-Service.

Their online demo works perfectly with my AT&T phone. Something is screwy in the UB implementation.

At 8 hours per employee (gotta give them lunch!), with a half hour for lunch, an hour for random training and so on, we have 140,400 total seconds of work time per day (6 employees). If 5000 emails come in, that yields 28.08 seconds per email. Oh, also, cashouts for customers who couldn't play for some reason.

It takes quite a bit of time to see what's wrong, look at a scanned ID, file all the stuff wherever it needs to go, and so on.. Trust us, we're busting our asses to get the best service to everyone involved, and all of the support staff is pulling overtime until they fall asleep.

We're super excited about this, but we just hope that everyone can bear with us while we get up on our feet. We don't expect that this will be the norm. Seriously!

If that's not the issue what is the next step?

phone triangulation thing seems a bit ahead of it's time. this wasn't a necessary piece of the puzzle right? barrier to entry is going to kill a third to half of your potential customers. do you expect verizon customers interested in poker to go out and purchase a separate phone simply to use your software?

would love to see your strategy team weighing the pros and cons on this. seems like unnecessary tech flair. if your tech team is really good enough to snipe vpns, what purpose does the phone thing serve? it may have helped you get your license, but i am sure the big players in this space were laughing at this one.

Dax said they had to do this in order to get licensed. They needed more then just one way to prove where you are located and the phone thing isn't that easy to cheat i guess

funny thing is NO one really is asking stations casinos to verify docs at the casino, we understand u don't want to train every employee. all we really need is the physical location of where the office is they are verifying all the emails and docs at, and the ability to come into that EXACT office in person where the professionals who know how to do it are located. I am afraid my docs wont be approved and I wont ever be able to play.
I'm actually a robot and require no sleep. Or food. Just a periodic MTT score and someplace to play craps.

If you sent them to idverification@ultimatepoker yesterday before about 3PM, there was an issue with that email box and that email would have bounced. If you can do me a favor, send another (to that email) and PM me your email address and I'll try to get it bumped right to the top.

At least this way you can wait in the comfort of your own home. Maybe you don't realize this, but there are hundreds of other customers waiting for the same thing. Do you think they can handle you showing up in person at their office? Complainers gonna complain
I mean, this is awesome in principle, but our office really isn't equipped to have people waiting around for a while. No chairs, no drinks, and we require all of our guests to file TPS reports. Yeaaahhhh.

We'll get to you as soon as possible, I promise.

No plans at this point, unfortunately. The ACH is instant, and if that doesn't work, the Wire transfer is "normally" pretty quick (less than a few hours?). At this point, though, the same people helping with emails and such are the same ones processing the wire transfers so I can't exactly promise it'll be instant. If you wanted to play on Sunday, I would try to take care of the wire today or tomorrow so it gets in before the banks close for the weekend.

1 ^ for Dax on handling the childishness going on itt! Dax I sent that email to support About the error code and shortly after I was able to create my account. Thx for your help!

Ok I'll try the ACH method. Thanks again!

It's all good, I don't expect people to read all these posts. I do appreciate people who are helping me out. We wanna make sure that the casual guys are able to get in, get our software, get registered, deposit and play. If we don't constantly hear about what breaks for them, we won't know what to fix.

Dax -- really appreciate the time you're putting into this thread.

I have a Verizon phone and (of course) it doesn't work for location. However, my girlfriend (who lives with me) has an AT&T phone. Would I be able to use her phone for my account? Or will there be a problem because it's technically HER phone? I'd love to get online today, but I don't want to do anything to get myself banned for life either!

report back on how this works. I know that they have a small limit on how much you can deposit the first time but eventually this seems like it will be the best method

The GCB wasn't altogether convinced that IP geolocation was good/accurate enough (and couldn't be trivially spoofed). I sort of agree with this sentiment, but I also agree that our current implementation isn't as smooth as it could be. We're hoping to get Verizon (you guys can help us by calling Verizon and escalating it up their support chain - it's actually a "them" thing).

Professionalpoker also suggested an Android and/or iPhone app to geolocate. I'm not entirely opposed, but that requires some development work (and would take at least a few months).
