Also, it's a little thing but please differentiate the "Playing" between "Playing" and "Late registration"

Put the number of rebuys and addons into the tourney lobby

All of these 1000 times over, plus improve the main lobby, the type is very small and it's very hard to read.

It seems as though the promotions department of UP really wants the site to succeed, the support department of UP really wants the site to succeed and the idiots in software development are laying back, smoking a joint and wondering how long they can continue to collect a paycheck for doing nothing. The software is a disgrace.

Hi Guys,

I'm excited to announce that beginning tomorrow, the $5,000 Nightly will feature breaks on the :55's.

Beginning this Sunday, the $20,000 Sundays tournament will also have its breaks on the :55's.

Next time there's "duplicate thread," why not merge it instead of just locking it? Also, maybe head that one off at the pass before it gets 36 replies. Anyway....

Text Hand Histories:

It doesn't sound like this is on the immediate horizon. But assuming it does get implemented sometime in 2014, will it be possible to get our old hand histories? Not getting HHs now would be less of an issue if we would ultimately end up with our entire playing history.

You can e-mail into playercare@ultimatepoker.com to request hand histories.

Heya 7Ts (Chris here, we played at Red Rock).

Could you show me that screenshot a little larger? It happens when you're in the "Game History" menus (account pages)?

Hey guys, thanks for all the feedback.

I can't speak specifically about timelines, and features, and platforms (Mac, iOS, Android, etc) for a few reasons (don't wish to overpromise, competitors, etc). I do want to let you know, however, that every single post is read and assimilated. Our software is a bit behind, and we understand that, so we're working to improve it on as many fronts as possible. A lot of this you don't get to see, partly because of various obstacles to working in the US market, and partly because it's "hidden" stuff like paying down technical debt. Scalability and stability (on the server side) are difficult to see, but as we grow, we are working hard to completely eliminate any sort of crashes whatsoever.

A little aside: If you'd like to get the "latest and the greatest" client software, please email support and ask for a copy of it. We will only be "pushing" a client build every few weeks/months (because many people simply are scared/unhappy with installing a new client), but you can get our up-to-the-day client with all the latest crash fixes by asking for it (both in NV and NJ).

I do also want to say that I appreciate all of the feedback and features that you want (via 2p2, PMs, twitter, email, etc). I do read all of it, and incorporate it into our prioritized backlog (which is quite long). A little bit of good news - we have about 3 releases planned for the next quarter, and something rather large before WSOP. Step by step, we're adding features that the rest of the poker industry has had the past 10 years to perfect and implement. We'll get there, and I appreciate the patience you guys have for us.

As always, find me on twitter at @cdanek, email me at product@ultimatepoker.com.

For everyone asking for an Android APP, you'll never see one for any site. Google doesn't allow gambling APP's for Android, that's the problem. The sites can't do anything about it unless Google changes their policy.

Not entirely true - this simply means we won't be able to host the APK in the Google Play store. Hypothetically speaking, IF we were to launch an Android app, we would do it directly from our website.

My apologies, but now that you told me that, add me to the list of people yelling at you to get one... lol

Could you tell us what new features the latest and greatest software has. I will definitely be requesting that if it is stable and has any improvements.

UP had shown they have good support and are willing to invest in building customers (this no overlay promotion is just insane, and a way better investment than say 2 &250k free rolls because it encourages getting into a regular playing routine). If you can start bridging some of the software issues, I think you could be the best site in nj.

Just downloaded the newest version per DAX. Looked at it briefly will check it out when I play later tonight.

At first look the software seems to be running faster and the geo-location kicked in almost immediately. The tables opened up quicker. But that is all I tried in the brief time I had.

Anyone else see other changes?
02-20-2014 , 04:56 PM
Is there a difference between the new version that I just downloaded and the one that Dax said to email support about?
02-20-2014 , 05:34 PM
The clients that you have have very small feature improvements that you might not notice unless you were looking for it - the focus is mostly on the stability of the client. We're not convinced it's completely crash-free yet, but we're trying to isolate, identify, and fix all of the obscure cases that cause crashes.

Enhancements that I think of off the top of my head in this version are:

* Alerts play even if the window isn't active/topmost.
* Mousewheel moves the bet slider.
* Mousewheeling anywhere in the window moves the bet slider when it's your turn (you don't need to click on the slider to focus it).

Shot support an email to support asking for the newest client. This is what they sent back:

Hi fnord,

The upgrade is publicly available now. All you have to do is go to www.ultimatepoker.com, click on "play now," select your state and this will begin your download.

Let us know if you have any questions and have a great night.

Is this true? If so, this update is not being pushed out for a while, so we just have to go pull it ourselves?

Edit - nm, it pushed to me when I had to restart the client.

My body is ready for synch breaks. Need to be able to stretch and walk around for five mins an hour, instead of being stuck in the chair for seven straight hours. Using my one time on this

Couldn't agree more. It's asinine to have breaks at :55 on some of your tournaments and not others. The two biggest complaints I see in the chat box at the tables are no synch breaks and no time bank I mean come on, at least give a 30-60 second time bank. Most of us can think optimally in the time allowed but deep in tournaments some decisions require a bit more thought.

Yeah, in the days of FOX and MSNBC I forgot what it was like to hear the pros and cons of something in one place.

Ultimate Poker in NJ has the best customer service of all four sites, ainec. AT&T had an issue today, so I couldn't get verified as in nj, and was blinded down in the 9pm rebuy. Went right to the live chat, told the customer service rep that I was blinded down due to the AT&T issue, and she put in a ticket for my refund. I will get my buyin back within 48 hours. Hassle free, great service!

it kind of blows my mind how fast people's standards have declined.
