HUDs will be decided once we have hand histories.

lol i guess that begs the question, when will you decide to have hand histories?

Please fix the CAPTCHA system. I was HU for almost an hour in one of the $10 MTTs and get CAPTCHA'd and timed out with 6BB and AK.

One MTT table open is not really a likely place to find a bot.

That Captcha system does not work. Must have been annoying as hell watching your chips go down as you type word after word.

It's on our top 10 of things we need to move forward, don't have an ETA.

There was a bug in the NJ CAPTCHA. While we fix it, we've turned CAPTCHA down (waaay down) to a point where you almost certainly won't encounter it.

Is there a limit to the number of sit n go tables you can play at once?

I was playing on the NV site. There is no reason to CAPTCHA somebody sitting at one table unless they have been there for a ridiculous number of hours. There is certainly no reason to do it at a MTT final table.

There is no reason it should ever lock you out immediately in the middle of a dealt hand.

I do realize you are a NV player; I was responding to the person who said the CAPTCHA was broken (and he is correct). I'm sorry you got timed out, and I can also see what I can do to reduce the CAPTCHA frequency. I believe right now it is something on the order of 200000-1 for any given hand, so that's really unlucky.

I agree some smart logic that would take into account number of tables, sessions length and other bot-like behaviours would be ideal. I'm not sure whether this is possible or not because as I just learned in a product development meeting, the way the software is designed, the table is not actually aware that the CAPTCHA has occurred (that's what makes adding extra time -- another proposed solution -- fairly difficult).

That being said, we are all aware that CAPTCHAs are tremendously annoying, and Dax et al will surely work on something better going forward.

Frankly, with the high ratio of 2+2'rs on the site there is very little chance of a bot going unrecognized for long. If there is a bot on your site you will most likely hear it here first.

When will there be a hand replayer? auto rebuy?

Hi guys -

Again, apologies that I haven't had time for specific responses lately. I just want you to know that we're working on another "big release" for the software right now. I can't promise when it's done, but we hope that this release will have many of the obvious things fixed.

We are getting better (internally) at moving quickly, but it's still an area for improvement. I've met with quite a few of you individually at lunches or over phone calls (you know who you are), and talked through some of the reasons that we haven't had as rapid updates as we would like. Part of this is because we launched 2 new products this quarter (NJ poker and NJ casino - NJP has slightly different requirements for regulation as NVP), and part of this is because we've been working on something pretty juicy for this year that I think will really transform our offering.

So, I know this is vague, but our commitment is to improving, and in the words of the legendary ScottyY.. Soon.

I'll be soliciting for another round of testers in the next couple of weeks. If you'd like to come into our office, have lunch on me, and play around with our new software (and get paid a buck or two), keep an eye out here or on my twitter (twitter.com/cdanek). Thanks to all the guys who came out last time.

Need to fix inactivity check. If you are registered for a tournament (especially if within the next hour), that needs to count as activity.

There's a guy locking up a seat with $0 at the only cash game running right now (lol), so I'll second whoever mentioned this - forget which thread it was in originally.

Ultimate Poker NV ‏@UltimatePokerNV 11m
Some small improvements (better alerts, slider) in our latest version - download fresh from https://upnvportal.ultimatepoker.com...in32/download/ … to access. #babysteps

Terrence beat me to the punch, but here's the list of changes (you can see) we pushed today.

Server: Bet slider moves 1xBB for each click.
Server: Tournaments that were failing to start ... now don't fail to start.
Server: Sounds aren't inverted for the checkbox in some rare situations.
Client: Alert sounds play if not in the frontmost window.
Client: Mousewheel moves the bet slider. It doesn't need to be the focused control to move.
Client: Added improved crash reporting and some steps towards better stability.

To get the client updates, download the latest from UltimatePoker.com and reinstall. We aren't forcing the userbase to download this until we have more confidence in the crash fixes, so you *have* to download the client to get the latest version. If you still experience any crashes, I'd love to hear from you. We can't reproduce it in our lab.

Also, this is only for Nevada. We'll roll out the update to NJ shortly.

any word on the next big update? Might make a run at platinum plaque if the software will be better for most of next year.

Some things that would definitely improve the software:
- Fixing the font/table sizing. The print is barely legible when shrinking the table size to a certain degree.
- Player notes, timebank (these should be standard)
- There shouldn't be button high card after someone sits out and back in.
- Hand histories

Seriously, when will there be hand histories? Note taking? The fact that these aren't standard is absurb.

Any word on synch breaks in tournaments?

I've been skipping a lot of up tourneys because they lack synchronized breaks.

Please add them, it's gonna be 2014...let's have software that mirrors the year
12-26-2013 , 04:47 PM
I'd settle for 2005 quality software at this point.

+1. There are two tournaments on this site nightly that I skip, because there are no sync breaks. It is however hard to pass up on the nightly 5k, because the overlay is just too big to miss.
