wonderfully warm is in the 60's in oregon on the coast.

It was actually in the 70s. Brookings can get quite warm; but yeaH, especially were I’m located, 65 is a heat wave. In the fall is the warmest time and it can get ~80 in Brookings on occasion. Even 70 at my house. Beautiful day again today after an overnight rain.

Around here Herds of Wild Turkeys thunder across the coastal plains. It is an impressive sight. And the damn slugs are on their yearly rampage. I squish scores daily.

My garden is coming along nicely. Just had a lovely rain that cleaned the air, watered the land, and freshen the greenery.

I'm always trying to kill the slugs at my house, but they're too hard to track.

Human tidal wave of tourists on the coast. Annoying as Hell. Can't do anything about it but hide out at home. We had a much needed 3-day rainstorm that really cleaned the air and added much needed water to rivers and the forests.

My garden is doing very well. My brother is here and we are doing small fixit jobs about the place.

they are all over montana now too. and all the parks are full of them and locals cant get in.

no need for concern...in a month or so the record wildfires in the NW will fill the air with soot and send them hacking.

but then all the pot smoking red eyed hippies will descend on the coast from the willamette valley.

Don’t know exactly why but I just want to hang out and help you do small fixit jobs.

Yeah, the small jobs are fun. Finished up one today and starting another tomorrow. Damn fierce winds the last week and it will continue. Getting lots of strawberries every day. Deliciously sweet.

Exactly! It is Wednesday and hoards of these scum are already clogging the roads and parks and beaches and waysides. It is like weekend traffic mid-week. And it’s going to get worse. Fourth of July will be insane.

Hot for here, got up to 72 degrees at my house. Garden is doing grand, some of the potato plants already have flowers. Strawberries in bucket fulls.

been wet around here and everything is growing well.
so many tourists you cant get into a place for breakfast.
living in a tourist area would be great if it werent for the tourists.

Traffic is insane but I needed groceries. 101 is like I-5. Staying home to avoid the Weekend madness. Very hot in the valley so extra hoards clogging everything everywhere.

Trimmed a large branch from my maple tree today. Took a deal of planning and my brother helped. The branch was over the roof some and the leaves would clog the gutters etc. Anyway it was time to cut it away, we had to remove the gutter and protect the big picture window from possible damage. All went to plan; we cut it neatly and it fell easily, with no damage to my beautiful house. Clean up went well and now it is Beer Drinking Time.

101 is better in that sections of it fall into the ocean from time to time

only in california, and thats good. as the whole state on that side needs to move that way.

101 only touches the CA coast from the border down to Arcata/Eureka, and then again briefly around Santa Barbara. the rest of the time it's 1, which is the one that likes to fall into the ocean, especially between Carmel and Pismo Beach.

I've driven that a bunch of times and haven't fallen into the ocean once.

I have always wanted to do that drive but when the opportunity came up a few years ago, on my way to Orange County, very wet weather/ storms had caused massive slides and the road was closed to through traffic.

ive made the drive many times. its nice but there are better drives.
ive gone from top of the nation down to the bottom along the coast. on both sides.

the west coast is best and the oregon coast is by far the best part except around where zeno lives.
