This is smart. People are largely made of squishy parts, so the tolerances are pretty large.

Got a wheelbarrow full of books I’m burning! May post some pics! You got to show the fascist morons that you are goose stepping to the correct drummer. And all the church ladies, listening in, can applaud. Independent thinking is verboten. Freedom is too dangerous for the masses.

Beautiful day today. God must be happy.

You can’t be caught reading or having the wrong books. I’ve noted that before. Take warning.

Sweet Revenge
John Prine

I got kicked off of Noah's Ark
I turn my cheek to unkind remarks
There was two of everything
But one of me
And when the rains came tumbling down
I held my breath and I stood my ground
And I watched that ship go sailing
Out to sea

Take it back
Take it back
Oh no, you can't say that
All of my friends
Are now dead or in jail
Through rock and through stone
The black wind still moans
Sweet revenge
Sweet revenge
Without fail

I caught an aisle seat on a plane
And drove an English teacher half insane
Making up jokes about bicycle spokes
And red balloons
So I called up my local deejay
And he didn't have a lot to say
But the radio
Has learned all of my favorite tunes
Take it back
Take it back
Oh no, you can't say that
All of my friends
Are now dead or in jail
Through rock and through stone
The black wind still moans
Sweet revenge
Sweet revenge
Without fail

The white meat is on the run
And the dark meat is far too done
And the milkman left me a note yesterday (yesterday)
Get out of this town by noon (get out)
You're coming on way too soon (right now)
And besides that
We never liked you any way

Take it back
Take it back
Oh no, you can't say that
All of my friends
Are now dead or in jail
Through rock and through stone
The black wind still moans
Sweet revenge
Sweet revenge
Without fail

Sweet revenge
Sweet revenge
Will prevail
Without fail

Got my garden planted. Only thing left is the tomato plants which I’m setting up in separate planters, under a protective “hot-house” . Keeps the deer out and it is too cool here to grow good tomatoes.

kiwi plants grow well there. asparagus is king as grows back for 20 plus years and you dont have to do anything but eat it and not pick the first two years growth..

one good sized patch of asparagus gives me two giant handfulls about every day from spring until july 4th when you stop and let them go to seed.

I planted asparagus for the first time lat year. There a bunch of nice one and tow footers popping up now. Can I take and eat those now (they look delectable) or am supposed to leave them?

no,no they need two years before you can pick them without hurting them. you pick them on your third year. hold out. while waiting plant another few rows and thank me in three years.
try jeruselum artichokes as well. they return each year and put out lots of food. they are in the sun flower family.
having things that return is fun and less work. always plant more than you think as its so good and you can give some away . rhubard is another. makes great pies and you cant kill it. two or three plants and you get a giant yield for life.
kale and new zealand lettuce come back. i also have gooseberries, raspberries, blueberries, elderberries, and about 30 fruit trees.

Purchased a “pop up” greenhouse for my tomato plants. I’ll see how it works out and if it is strong enough to stand up to winds. May have to add my own additional bracing.

Garden been doing well, especially the strawberries, onions and potatoes.

Yo please show pictures of the garden. Also did you procure whisky spirits?

first big windstorm you can go and pickup your pop up greenhouse down by battle rock park. if it stops there.

It will be in tatters long before it reaches battle rock park. I do have a somewhat sheltered zone were I can set it up. Worth the effort to get real tomatoes instead of the store bought insipid kind. Plus I can grow lots of various herbs.

good luck with the tomatoes.

i find an organic seller or farmers market where there are good ones and by a bunch at a time. i do try to grow them but without warmer days and all things going great it is tough.
in cooler climates tomatoes and corn are tough and need luck.

learned the hard way that growing perennials and easy crops and just buying the hard to grow annual crops is the easiest and best way for good produce.

how are your pesky cats doing.

The cats are still alive- they keep the moles at bay so worth having around.

And ditto on just buying the harder to grow stuff. Put up the green house today and moved in the tomatoes. I think the little pop up house will do just fine, anchored well and with tie downs etc.

I have an idea. Just move to BC.

And look at those carrots and pepper trying to sneak in to the picture.

their best for trout, is the elk just north of me at fernie. last few years to preserve it as its been found by the americans they charge a high daily fee.
a decade or so back the 4 or so great trout streams near there had virtually no one ever on them. now with guides getting 500 a day its crowded.
