I finished the Myrtlewood side table that I’ve been working on for awhile. The small myrtlewood slab is from a tree that I needed to hack down being too close to the home. I let the slab season for over two years before starting work on it. The legs are steel, called hairpin style. I left the bark on the side and unfinished to give a more rustic look to the table. The top is finished in semi-gloss polyurethane. That brings out and brightens up the grain more than a wax that I tried first but it was too subdued and I felt that more gloss and grain emphasis was needed.
Mr. Zee can come down and pick up it for a nominal fee.
