Yes it does, a bit of a drawback. In fact you have to wait until mid to later April to plant anything because the soil is too cool for gemination. It can get warmer in the daytime but nighttime it always cools down to 40-50 degrees even in summer. So I have to sick with cool weather crops unless you have a greenhouse - or, etc. The other problem I have is that I live on the north side of a hill, which blocks sunlight. I don't get full sun until May-September.
Since I purchased this place from my parents, I didn't determined the location. There are benefits, however, many I won't go into. Anyway, overall it is a nice location. You just have to live with some of the drawbacks. I think that is true of just about anywhere. Even St. Petersburg, Russia. Which has the most beautiful women per capita of anywhere in the world. But the weather sucks.
