Bugs in he nose-
The Mona Lisa betwixt my toes-
And Leonardo Paints-

It’s a nice day if a bit windy.

Early morning at the beach, no wind, sun beaming down on the waves, birds wheeling about- God is in heaven and everything is for the best in this best of all possible worlds.

I never know if ray is the anti-phat-mack, or my long lost twin brother.

Sunny and warm so am planting the garden. I dug up and split my strawberries, which completely cleared the garden area. Then I tilled the garden three times over in one week. Replanted the strawberries plus a few new plants so have 2 and 1/3 rows. Planted two rows of onions (one yellow, one white) today. Will plant the four variety of potatoes next: Yukon Gold, Red Pontiac, Russet Burbank and German Butterball. The German Butterball is the only variety I haven't tried yet. I know the rest do well and produce great potatoes. Space left will be filled out with swiss chard, carrots, bunching onions (small white), radishes, peas, and etc.

Will grow tomatoes also but they go in my small portable greenhouse. It is just too cool here to grow good tomatoes outside. Did this last year and it worked out well.

You can plant peas this late? I guess it stays pretty cool up where you are.

it hard to grow much except cold weather crops unless farther inland. the average summer day right on the coast is only 68 to 70 for the high and only a few times during the summer do you get over 80. perfect temps. for me.
rainy oregon is dry in the summer and beautiful. sucks in the winter.

inland you get 100 some days.

Yes it does, a bit of a drawback. In fact you have to wait until mid to later April to plant anything because the soil is too cool for gemination. It can get warmer in the daytime but nighttime it always cools down to 40-50 degrees even in summer. So I have to sick with cool weather crops unless you have a greenhouse - or, etc. The other problem I have is that I live on the north side of a hill, which blocks sunlight. I don't get full sun until May-September.

Since I purchased this place from my parents, I didn't determined the location. There are benefits, however, many I won't go into. Anyway, overall it is a nice location. You just have to live with some of the drawbacks. I think that is true of just about anywhere. Even St. Petersburg, Russia. Which has the most beautiful women per capita of anywhere in the world. But the weather sucks.

planting is different everywhere. in montana you really dont plant till the last two weeks in may and mostly first week of june to insure no frost kill.

I’m still alive and kicking. And that’s all the information I’m giving out. The neofascist are everywhere; lurking, monitoring, and instituting their draconian and Orwellian universe on all.
