Anyways best of luck, this sounds brutal

Doctors have no clue about this.

If you truly wanted to quit don't you think medical professionals would be best suited to help?

It's been almost five years but what happened with your sleep situation OP?

Long story short:

I've been off work, allowing me to do a little rehab, and am getting close to getting my dosage down to the doctor's recommended 10mg/day. I'm at 20mg from at peak of 200+mg. I'm getting 4 hours of sleep a day during this "rehab".

I don't ever expect to sleep a decent amount without pills, since I've had insomnia for as long as I can remember and the only thing that helps is pills. Believe me, I've tried many other approaches.
