The Fire was a good album. Let it Enfold You is one of my alltime favorites. Sadly, I could not get into Renacer.

JsTs and I decided to play the HPT 6 max event at thunder valley yesterday (low buy in 150)

I guess you can say I shipped it, but I was so tired at the end and didn't care that I agreed to a chop, I usually don't like chopping, everyone at the table wanted to and stack sizing made it a shove fest anyway, that combined with my tiredness (was already running off of 3ish hours of sleep) I said **** it after tanking

Was CL at time of chop (out of 5) so they took my pic for a poker mag, they gave me a choice of cards to use for the picture, 23o ftw =)

Pretty sure I'm gonna play the HPT main tomorrow

A couple players at the table talked to me as I left, asked my name and complimented me saying I was a great player, I really feel like I played excellent and my current game is really good

Summer in Vegas is on my mind constantly, I want to be prepared, I want to have enough $$ to be comfortable while I'm there and not have to worry about it, I want to be on my game.

I did a little math and if I keep up a decent amount of volume (40 hours per week, would love to crush this) with my win rate I should be fine. I feel like my live game is currently great, the focus for my game is staying sharp (inc paying attn to hands) while minimizing mistakes.


The past three days I'm on back the insanity kick (was pretty much just doing p90x ab ripperX w/a few sets of 25 pushups everyday), as I now have a place where I can workout to my hearts desire with no issues (and much better internet connectivity as there were issues at the other spot). I started out strong two days ago with pure cardio from insanity, the toughest workout from the month 1 workouts, yesterday I kicked it up a huge notch with max interval circuit, one of the toughest month 2 workouts, today I just completed max cardio conditioning, while hating and loving life simultaneously.

Now time to grind.

Started playing on the pineapple Chinese app, such a great app compared to the other, it's only downfall is it's only available on the iPhone. Sick fun swingy game, already hit a royal

Went to Reno with a buddy (Sean drake) for the weekend

Got talked into playing the $130 survivor card player event, drake started ordering us shots (straight Jameson's) the number was over 10 when we both were at FT, I ended up chopping (survivor event anyway) for a little notch on my mtt resume

Aside from that played small cash games

Had a good time,busted right before FT, thought I did fine but made mistakes on two hands, basically made a call that I could've gotten away from a good amount of the time in one hand (wasn't a huge pot but still), and went with a plan in another hand, thought I'd induce spazz in a spot where I'm stabbing a fair amount and went with the hand after telling myself I was going with if I were to face a raise (forget how live players get away with playing so unorthodox in low limit mtts), KJ vs QK on QJXQhh, MLP opens and I decided to play IP on button instead of ship Bb calls both check to me on flop and turn and I fire and go with it when raised

So after that punt in the above hand played in the larger events of that series, bubbled both of the larger events due to unfortunate circumstances

In one on the final table of the day (9 left 7 made it iirc and I had a great stack) a whale opened 13k @2/4k (forgot ante lvl) utg, folds around to me in the Bb and I 3b to 32k (huge size due to moby dick obv) with KKsx, villain started hand with 110k ish and I cover, he calls and I cbet about 22k on T87sss, villain calls, I ship a sexy looking 8 turn and villain calls with T8hh and **** me lol, JsTs actually cashed and we swapped a small amount for a little rebate for me



On the main day 1A it was down to 14 players and 10 advance I called an open with JKhh instead of shipping vs a light euro to play IP postflop and avoid a flip situation given the stacks were pretty shallow, Q66hh flop he checked to me I fired, he raised small and I tanked although there was too much money in the pot for me to not stick it in, I did and he called with QJo and held.

Couldn't get anything really good going but gained confidence in my current live game, I didn't sell any action for the series so the buy ins set me back a couple thousand so that blew, and my only cash I took 3rd in the super small PLO event (like 19 players crapshoot structure), which wasn't for a lot and on top of that did a rebate plan with er7eman for bubble protection (he bubbled) so only made a couple hundo from that. Did make cash from side bets and pineapple OFC with abarber and JsTs tho

this feels like the current state of poker in sacramento, huge action player wins 1500+ pot here (vs me and a dealer who was playing in the game), instantly has his buddy grab racks, and a few minutes later.....

this guy was threatening to beat my ass every couple of hands, it was a pretty funny **** talking game, i was calling him a big teddy bear, we ended up taking hella shots, he pretty much died and has quit drinking for a while after that night

So, I've been cracking down lately so I can roll out to Vegas for the summer

My sessions have been action packed, lots of suck outs (a lot more of these than id like lol), gross spots and all that jazz, running KK into AA a couple times this last week in spots I'm not folding, and the best part is I'm still booking winners and doing great, rarely losing at showdown and knowing when to give credit I think is one of my strongest points atm, the more I'm playing cash the more I keep wishing I hadn't taken that week off to play tournaments, put in 48 hours last week and it didn't even feel like it, if I keep this up I just know I'm going to have the summer I want.

Funny after the above post and getting about 4 hours of sleep I wake up and head over to my card room to play, the start of the sesh I run bad in a few pots and am stuck a bit, but turn it around and start crushing for the next 8 hours or so, and the game dwindles down to just me and two others, both players are great to have in the game, but one is a big donator...

Game is 1/3 and they are button straddling, I'm sitting on at least 1600 (in for 500 and cover), everyone's button straddling and I'm in the Sb and make it 20 w/KKch, both players call (they play a lot of hands), I cbet 35 into the players on a 237cch, BB folds and the reason why the game is running min raises me, at this moment I was pretty sure I still had the best hand but knew if I repopped I would fold out a large portion of his range because of how deep we were and b/c it looks strong as ****, so I called, 9h turn I checked he fired 78, leaving himself with in between 250-300 behind, I decided on a jam, he tanks for a bit and **** it calls w/67ss, drawing to 5 outs once, 7 river oops for him, sucks because game would've broke and he wouldn't have reloaded and I could've went home sooner and relaxed

So like 4 hands later I'm on the B w/KK again, I open to 10 sb calls and my friend makes it 20, I think for a bit and make it 70, he thinks and jams, I've played a ton with this guy and I really can't fold vs his range here, but it felt like he had it (I hate the fact he min raised my open and jammed over obv but he def doesn't only do that with AA, and does it a lot postflop too), I thought about it for almost a minute before calling, he had it, and those 8 hours of crushing just turned to ****, although I was still barely winning that was my tipping point, I got up for a few and couldn't believe my mis fortune (it's not often you run KK into AA 3 times in under a week in live poker lol).

I sat back down and lost the remaining 500something I had in front of me, EX opened to 21 w/QTo from sb and Bb makes it 50, I fold he shows KK, and raise folded another hand to AA, flopped 2nd pair bet twice on a board for protection and lost at showdown (river checked through), and eventually got it in good and lost (as a short stack, after those two hands I cut my stop loss to what I had in front of me to prevent spew) , whatever tho lol luck, I'll get em tomorrow.

Just keep on grinding and play your game bro. Let's melt some faces this summer.

If he is your friend other then him turning his AA over idk what else he could have done to tell you he had AA. Min raise then a over jam is basically him waiving them in the air

min raise jam in that spot is normally a red flag yes, but i have hundreds of hours of experience with this dude and he def doesn't always have AA there, the other player in the hand thought i was ahead when i called too, and hes def aware

this game is way diff than random low limit vegas games =)

thx for addressing what would appear to be possible leak in my game tho <3

(don't get me wrong, if there's ever a spot to get away from KK that deep that would be a solid candidate)
