Alobar,

I thought you moved to Canada after BF but now it appears you're in Denver. I tried to search for info about it but couldn't find anything. What happened?

I did, but I cant legally live there, so I was there for like 6 months, and have been back, but am currently in Denver.

Re: TL;DNR

I am about to embark on my first 14er (14,000 peak). Im a bit nervous as I havent done much training at all for it, but not to sound like a dick or anything, I think my natural abilities will carry me through the experience. Ill post some pics of me at the top!

Re: TL;DNR

Here I am somewhere around 8,000 feet, preparing for the loooong climb to the top

could really start feeling it once we got up above the treeline!!

saw a TON of wildlife, here is a pack of bighorn sheep!

a R.O.U.S.!!!!

after a billion switchbacks and 6K feet of elevation gain we reached the top. However, we did so just as a lightning storm started to break out. You could feel the hairs on your head standing on end, pretty scary!! So just had time to snap a crappy pic of the summit

and wait for a break in the rain to bag proof of my first 14er!

the top crazily enough was ABOVE where it was apparently snowing

had to wait for a herd of mountain goats to cross the road.

sat and watched them for a while. I have never seen any animal chew and eat so fast. They really attacked the grass.

Tried to capture an elusive double rainbow, didnt come out, so sadly, just a photo of the single

Picture of me and my faithful companion at Summit Lake, somewhere around 12K feet. It was also her first 14er as well!

We stopped in for some pizza on the way home to celebrate, and I since I cant even imagine how many calories one burns summiting a 14er, we splurged and got the extra large!
