Lets start by saying hello to everyone! Im a 21-years old guy who works as a security guard and has just started to play poker in late summer. First I made a 30 dollars deposit and I somehow ran it up to 90 dollars within a 2 weeks, but then came a huge downswing which dropped me back to around 50's. I have mainly played Sit n Go's becouse just love the format in general but I have played few thousands hands cash on 2NL also but I just dont see it as my thing.

My downswing mainly was becouse I got so greedy when I got some wins and tried to put more volume or move up in stakes without the bankroll and when tilting -> play bigger stakes to make up the loss and rest is history. Since then I've read couple of books but still having a bad habit of not reading them completely and watched hours of poker and instructional videos on youtube and have improved alot. But still I gotta put more effort in studying.

After that I found the MTTSNG games and started to focus on them a bit and found a pretty good sweet spot on micros where I can make decent profit but after my summer vacation was over, I noticed that I just simply dont have enough time to play them enough and improve at the same time. Of course some turbos and hypers would be some solution but I can make better on regular speeds for now so I have more time to think what Im doing and ****.

So, I accidentally started to watch some HUSNG videos and was already loving it. When I got to play them, loved them even more. The action, the tricky spots, relatively fast games, just love 'em. I thought that is something I have some decent amount of time to focus while doing my dayjob and played first session today, 31 games but only 28 has registered on my hand history for some reason, and the chart looks like this

To not to make this post too long jibberyjabbery, I dont really have any goals for now. At least 2k games till end of the year, and as many hours of studying as possible. The big goal is just to learn as much as possible and then start a new year with some more serious goals.

Oh yeah, could have mention those too ATM I play on PS and FT in micros, .50 - 1,50 mainly but for this week I have played 1,50's on PS only. Im not really that much into turbos since I'm pretty much just started playing poker so I love the slower paced playing since I myself think that it gives me the edge I need (and the little I can even have), when I can make non-rush decisions and also try to lower the variance a bit. To be honest I hate the push-fold-aspect of hyperturbos especially, even though you can make those +EV moves more easily and make probably money in the long run but I just dont see it as my thing...at least for now

Been working like crazy for 4 days, and now when I have my day off, I have all the housework to done + gotta go to gym and **** so not so much time for poker today but still got to play few games. No poker for 4 days and it already comes to game and it takes few games to get the hang of the games and stop doing some stupid ass mistakes. But eventually when I do get into someones game, they notice that and wont play with me anymore =D also ran today to a total maniac russian guy who's playing style was putting max pressure possible by pushing in places where standard bet would be IMO appropriate. He was also open shoving with 50-80BB's with all kind of crap, got him trapped couple times and then he gave up and didnt wanna play anymore

So, heres the graph for the whole week since I'm not going to play anymore today. Just gonna study my hands for the week and read some stuff about HU playing and poker in general (Raisers Edge for today's book).

I really gotta put some work to playing EV vice, even tho lot of my plays goes with the reads so some crazy moves are pulled. As you can see those last 10 games goes to pretty crazy direction EV wise becouse of that crazy russian had to increase the variance a bit so I wont be his little biatch. But, still on +side at the end of the week so Im pleased. Also got a good pile of reads on some players.

Next week is luckily easier workwise so more time for poker, hoping to at least 3-4x the amount of games played next week and same time trying to increase the quality as well. Might post some interesting hands when I get to review them but for now, 'till next week.

Okay, so not alot to say about this week. People started to call sick on work so not as much poker as I would've want to.

This week's graph

The week started pretty well, put much much more thought into the game and didnt do many stupid mistakes, but any stupid mistakes is always stupid. Also didnt play with my reads sometimes and just kept clicking the buttons even though same time I should've already knew Im drawing dead. So, more discipline! Also, again my week ended so ****ty, losing 5 buy-ins to this one guy who was running super hot. He kept getting those aces, also one time I lost my set of 8's to a set of Kings, he kept calling every bluff and semibluff with any A even with only A high no matter how I played the board, if I had top pair he always had top pair with better kicker and so on and so on...got tilted like **** there and decided to stop for this week.

Graph so far...aint beautiful

Being eaten slowly by the rake with my 50% winrate. Also I have no idea why my PT4 stopped to show my hands. I can see all the tournament results but when I want to review any hands, it wont load them. Also somewhere deep in my computer, there's some setting I cant seem to find to put off some weird security setting that wont let me download universal replayer.

Been eager to do some reviewing to see what I'm doing wrong since that adjusted C-net is just flipping on me all the time. Well, for now, 'till next week.

Thanks man, aprreciate it! But luckily I found the problem and got my replayer to work and I was reviewing my hands for like 5am monday morning. Then got to bed and woke up at 7am to do my 11 hours shift at work =D was kinda nasty. But if youre up to somekind of studygroup thingy, I would be up to that atleast in some PM'ing/E-mailing kind of way if I dont have time for anything else.

BBBut as I said, reviewed my hands for too many hours the other day but got hooked so what can you do. Noticed few leaks already and tried today something new on a minisession and it is already showing somekind of results.

Even though I'm down like 30 dollars, my adjusted C-net has come up a bit. Even tho it's still on -side, its still better session than like 5 other ones where my adjusted is like 10 dollars below my C-net won. Im not sure if Im staring too much at that graph and weighing my game too much by it.

My overall biggest leak was bet sizing and second biggest was calling too much. Today I took like a robotic way of playing and kept bet sizes pretty small and same size all the time, no matter if I did it for bluffin or for value and already see some results. Probably wasnt the best idea to play against same dude with that kind of testing =D probably would've gotten much more better result in winning vice, but winning aint my goal at this moment, its learning the game.

He catched it pretty fast but I quickly managed to use it against him in manymany spots but all the times when I went back to old playing style, he just got me hands down. Then I started to mix it up a bit, did a bit better but not too much. Then I mixed it up a lot and actually won pretty fast and after that he quit but still got something good out of those games.

dita-alan, I'm up for more games, idiot donk

About the second leak, calling too much. It just comes down to opponent pretty much. Even if I'm aware that my opponent aint capable of doing some multistreet or huge donk bet bluffs, I'm still trying to think too much and do stupid hero calls. Same time when I'm playing against people who I know are capable of those kind of things, I ain't doing enough counter attacking and get sucked out on river or something like that.

Also found couple of stupid preflop semibluff kind of things. 4 or 5bet shoved with medium pocket pair against a opponents who I knew in my gut that they wont be 3betting big or 4betting without a AA or KK. But I still wasnt doing it against those who were doing it with like QJs or KTs to try to induce some folds or flips.

Anyways, thats it for today. Next time I'm gonna again try something different and see how that works out after I've stoved 'till next morning some crazy ideas I have.

PS. a hand I liked really much

Aight, played some more HUSNG's and got sucked out so goddamn ****ing badly so goddamn many times in a row that I got super tilted and my roll went literally to 6 bucks. Didnt really know what happened, I just kept clicking those buttons and BOOM, rest is history. Also really should have bigger roll for the stars HU's than 30 BI's in the beginning.

So, for now, I'm gonna spend assloads of time in studying and little less playing. Played one small session cash games in 2NL 6max becouse couldnt get sleep, too much poker going on my head right now. Played two tables, one zoom and one normal.

    The normal one

    Aaand the Zoom one

Prolly gonna stick to 2NL 6max for a while until I am definitely sure to go back for HU's and have the roll for it. Also probably gonna stick to the FTP's $.50 HU's too so I have better roll to those games. Might also do a small deposit in the end of the month.

Also gotta get on the training schedule. Been like a lazy ass walrus for a while. Maybe thats why my head isnt working as it should.

    Aight time for a little update. Thought some things and came to conclusion that I'm gonna stick to the MTTSNG's since I can play them profitably and enjoy them so much. So, I just play as much as my job will give me time and study the rest. Also didn't do any deposits, started to build my roll from that about 7$ there was left and heres the graph so far;

    $.25 45p MTTSNG

Noticed that my decision making has been become more solid than ever before, and not taking too many marginal spots. Still alot to work with on couple of situations and bet sizing (which is hard in that level) and some other things but I have marked all the spots I'm gonna work on + over 2k of hands to review and that is the next thing I'm gonna with next probably by tomorrow and post some here.

As BRM I had line that I will one table until I have the feel to the format again and few buy-ins more and after I had 50 buy-ins, started to 2-table. Just feels so uncomfortable to play more than one table, I lose my confidence and having bad habit of focusing on one table at the time and the other gets kinda forget and the decisions there aint so good. But this is probably just a practice question. Will play 2-tabling until I have 100 buy-ins and from there I will start 4-tabling. Prolly not gonna play more than 4 tables at the same time in these lowest levels, just gonna focus on ROI and less variance to get BR up.

Might stick to the 45 players format for a while since it doesnt take too much time, and when I can start to put some serious volume, it starts to pay back a bit.

    Bankroll atm: 14,79$

Gonna start taking shots on $1 tournaments after 50$ and after 100$ will move to $1 only.

    Instead of studying, decided to play few tourneys. Graph so far;

    BR: $15,23

Some pointers; While 2-tabling, become a bit lazy and started to take too marginal plays and lost few tourneys right off the bat and couple while being already pretty deep with a healthy stack. Managed to get 2nd in one tourney so got back all the losses and a bit more.

Its gonna be all work for pretty much rest of the week so Im gonna devote all the spare time to reviewing hands and reading some books/articles/2+2 threads.

Also gonna start my training schedule again and start a diet to get rid of the 5-10kg (dont know how much of this is water and the fat itself so cant give exact numbers) excess I have gained while being sitting on my ass in front of computer. Used to be a lightweight powerlifter until july 2013 when my gluteus maximus teared along with some smaller muscles and had to take a pretty long break while I lost my motivation to lifting. Started to train again in may 2014 but lost the interest in summer while started to play poker but have noticed a significant downfall generally healthvice (being all tired all the time, some back pain etc.) so its time to get big roll rolling again.

    September 13th, 2015

Well hello everyone. Decided to start a new blog to keep up with all my things in my life. Had a blog here before but it didnt last that long, as didnt my poker career back then. Started to play again in May 2015 and been sticking to cash games. For now I have played about 50k hands in 2NL with about 8bb/100 winrate. Had like 15bb/100 for a long time, but now that ive been studying game more, I've been trying out a lot of new things and having a swingy time.

I also work full time and now that I have healed my back I'm going to start lift weights seriously again. I was lightweight powerlifter but been having a lot of injuries past couple of years so I've been focusing in coaching bit more. So, I have full time job, and two hobbies I have passion for; weights and poker. So as everyone can propably guess, my time is VERY limited. Not aiming to be any high stakes or even midstakes semigod, just trying to get the best out of me.

I've kept poker blog with same name in other forum since June but I thought that moving here could take me a step further. For now my biggest challenge have been finding a ways to study. Like how to study, how to implement all the learned things to the game and when to implement those. The time I've been lurking here for many months, reading all the hand history threads has been great help. Also doing hand reading exercises on PGC threads is a lot of fun and has been improving my game a lot.

Soo, this blog will be following my evolving in poker and following my comeback to lifting weights. My back and glutes are still so messed up that I'm not going to squat for example for a long time yet, but I'll figure something out to focus on. Not making too big goals for now.
