I was born, one day I'll die. In the middle a lot of stuff has happened, and hopefully will continue to happen.

Most of this blog will be written on a smartphone, so forgive the typos (or don't, you miserable, pedantic, unforgiving POS).

Those who know me know from the forums know I'm a fairly open book. Those who follow me on Twitter (under my sooper-secret alter ego) know that I have a fairly dry, crude sense of humor.

I don't take myself too seriously, and generally shake my head at those who do. After all, we are all just bags on carbon hurtling through space together on a giant wet rock. If you can't laugh at yourself, don't worry, I can.

Dunno where this is gonna start or where this will take me, but I guess it's about time I at least opened the thread. Sorry in advance for the disappointment to follow.

By describing our giant planet as a "...wet rock", then it would be correct to describe the human body as a bag of water as opposed to carbon?

No. The earth is only about .025% water. Most of that is on the surface, which makes it wet.

Since carbon is the only element native to all known life, I chose it as the representative element for all of humanity, rather than water (not an element) or oxygen (overrated and there are organisms that can live without it).

Why do you shake your head at people that take you seriously?

Generally?

Because biting your thumb at someone can get you stabbed or lead to war.

Cliffs:

It was a dark and stormy night. A little too dark and a little too stormy, if you know what I mean.

I was ripped from my mothers womb on that fateful morning screaming and cursing. Somewhere in the distance, a wolf howled.

Yatta yatta yatta I kissed a girl, got laid, and graduated college with a degree in Creative Writing, which isn't a real degree but whatever it was liberal arts.

I got a job, left a job, started my own consulting biz, got married, moved, quit my job, played poker professionally for a few years, bought a house, re-entered the real world, had a somewhat successful career, got laid again, had a kid, quit my job, started my own company, and now work for myself and play poker to supplement my income or maybe it's my prime income now hard to tell.

Basically everything I have ever done in life - all my training, my schooling, the loves I've had, the deaths I've grieved, the life I have lived up to now - has led to me making this post right now in the thread.

FML

Hope you enjoy the ride.

For now, I'm going to (try) to commit myself to a PG&C thread. I've kept the "Swimming Upstream" motif.

It doesn't mean I've abandoned this. In fact I've already sketched out about 6 or 7 blog entries, but I am a fairly private person by nature, so it is sometimes hard for me and I get second thoughts often before sharing personal stories (and I have already shared quite a few over the years).

Anyway, if you are intersted in the poker side of my life, the PG&C thread is probably worth subscribing to.

The main problem really is I an almost never on my laptop with "free time" anymore. If I ain't surfing the bet for porn, I'm probably working.

But mostly it's porn.
