It's a one hour interview, but yeah, you're sort of right. Only the first half hour is really worth it. He was asked about and talked about things I've heard for the first time. Like living in Florida compared to New England, some stuff about his dad I didn't know. Dax Shepard, the actor and host of the podcast, does a great job in my opinion. Dax had Bill Gates before Brady. It's a good podcast with some really interesting guests. I'm not in any way affiliated with the show.

Idk that o line and defense are trash

Sounds mediocre to me

I specified "at least offensively".
Defense is better than trash. Not good by any means, but it's probably as good or better as 2 others in their own division (hello Atlanta and Carolina!).

It was the right thing to do.

So, stomach troubles today. I blame the new (to me, anyways) Maruchan 4/$1.00 Chili Ramen flavor packets. I'll slot in tomorrow in as my next session at Red Rock.

So, because I posted a Limp Bizkit video here once as a semi-troll, YouTube now assumes that they are my very favorite band, and they've been recommending their videos to me in every possible spot. Be careful what you post.

YouTube's Len video recommendation to me is likely connected to Limp Bizkit, given both of the bands' catchy but not very talented debuts, but unlike the LB crap, the Len video made me happy for a very specific reason: what a cute couple!

Ostensibly it was Len and his girlfriend at the time being featured, but I don't really care about the details.

The challenge, now, is for anyone to find a cuter couple in a music video--I can think of only one possible rival--In this instance, trolling responses are both allowed and encouraged.

It's cool that they try to package straight 70s bubblegum music as OG, complete with scooters and a Hard Day's Night tribute. I'll look for a cute couple, but it will be hard to compete without going full Sonny & Cher.

I worked in the mall in the mid-90's, and that was the time when I watched the suburban white kid's fashion template shift from grunge to hip-hop. I think Emimem and his lesser competitors had something to do with it.

As for the cute couple contest: Abort, abort!

Here is an instructive lesson on the peril of not doing one's homework. I said that I didn't want to know any more about the couple's relationship, but of course I couldn't help but look into it, because that's what I do.

If we talk about Brady, then people might have to put up with me talking about Cam Newton, who is looking good so far.

If he can stay healthy and keep from blowing himself up on social media then he's going to add a new type of running threat to Belichick's arsenal, who will of course make the adjustment and exploit it.

As you mentioned earlier way to early to make any bold predictions. Iím a Bills fan they look good but itís silly to assume they will automatically win the division. Belichick is an evil sith lord and will use all the powers of the dark side to squeak out wins particularly against a cocky up-starter like the Bills thinking they can take his seat at the table.

One game and beating the Dolphins or Jets or losing to the Saints means nothing.

I agree with Da_Nit that it's too early to make bold predictions, but it's fun to make them nonetheless.

I'm a Dolphins fan so I just hope we don't finish last in the division. Looking at you, the green and white team!

Re: Suitedjustice's Ongoing Mid-life Crisis

I had a swingy sort of session at Red Rock today. I started out $200 in the hole after running two sets into flush draws which both got there on the river. Fortunately, both villains didn't have full stacks.

On the first hand we were all in on the turn; on the second hand Villain shoved his last $30 into a pot of $130 when the flush came on the river, and I made the crying call with my set.

Could I have made an exploitative fold there on the river, getting more than 4:1? Sure, if I'd known the guy and had played with him for several hours--at the very least--in order to develop the sort of accuracy I would need for that read. Otherwise, at least 20% of the time vs an unknown player at $1/$2, I'm going to call that last $30 and see some silly hands which lose to my set.

On the third set I flopped, I adjusted by turning quads, and that worked nicely. I would recommend this play in a great number of spots. The villain only had a $70 stack, but I got it--he shoved his last $30 with a gutshot. Along with that, I won a $100 high hand of the hour bonus.

The table was nice and soft for the first two hours, and then a maniac sat down two seats to my left and raised every hand in his first orbit. I picked up 99 on the button and opened to $10. The loose passive SB called and the maniac in the BB 3-bet to $30. He had already donked off $100 and he had a little over $100 back, so I found myself in a quandry.

I didn't want to call, as I would hate a lot of flops, and he would be able to put pressure on me. Neither he nor the SB had stacks big enough for me to call for pure set mining. But I didn't want to fold because after one orbit I didn't quite know what kind of maniac I was dealing with.

I've occasionally seen a good LAG (or even a TAG) sit down at a new table, donk a stack away, and then make up for it two or threefold by playing solid after everyone became good and convinced that he or she was a whale. It's a high variance play but I've seen it work.

So, I didn't want to miss an opportunity to get called by a lower pair or Ax or something silly if this particular villain was spending some advertising chips.

And if it turned out that the Villain was instead a good LAG who was splashing around small but was ready to fold to real pressure, well then I might actually get a fold from TT or JJ.

I shoved my 99 for his last $100. SB got out of the way and Villain called with JJ and held. Ah well.

Red Rock Station:
4.5 hours:

(-$36)

Damn who loses with two sets in one session against rivered flushes. At least you fixed the set leak on the third try, just do that more often.
