There are definitely better timelines out there atm. We can hope that this one steers into a nicer vector.

I'm not going anywhere. I pushed all of my life chips across the line back in July, and the flop is still barely unfolding.

Looking forward to meeting you guys! Don't oversell me to anyone, though. I'm just a boring middle aged guy who knows how to write things down.

Today I 4-bet JTs for $115 vs an aggro reg and got a fold. That's about as wild as I get

Okay, so you're not Canadian by birth. That's a new piece of information. I won't be looking for a Canadian accent, then. Midwest, or Western New York/PA?

Also note that two players likely won't be able to get on the same table right away at the same time.

Heading there now. I was watching my Red Sox in an apparent soccer game. Still ongoing.

On mah tittays ofc. Super standard play.

The Red Sox bats finally woke up for a nice win. They have LA over a barrel.

I watched the game while pulling in a good score at the Bally's freeroll, so it was an excellent night all around.

Tomorrow is a challenge day, then a tournament on Monday. That will be the last poker I play for two weeks. Tuesday I head out for Japan and Taiwan. More on that later.

Bally's freeroll: 4 hours:
+$671

GJ SJ! Treat yourself to some Yakitori when in Japan. I recently visited one of the few Yakitori restaurants in Germany; soooo good!

Be careful with those papercuts on ya tittays, make sure you get some triple antibiotic ointment for them before traveling abroad.

Yes! The Japanese do food on a stick better than just about anyone. It's expensive, but I won't be paying, so it's worth it.

I intended to play for 6 hours at the Orleans last night: a 3 hour session, dinner at the buffet, then 3 more hours.

The buffet line was huge, so I strolled over to TGI Friday's. That line was also very long, so I snuck past it and sidled up to their bar--advantage singleton play.

I watched the rest of the World Series while eating, and chatted and joshed with the other bar patrons. When the game ended, I found myself to be 3 large beers in, so I made a gametime decision to pull myself off the field and head home.

So, after a few slightly better than breakeven months spent learning and adjusting, I've averaged around $25/hour playing in October. That number does not include several hundred dollars worth of free and discounted meals, which would push the hourly North of $30--not bad for $1/$2.

What I'll need to address when returning in two weeks will be the lack of hours, as I've not achieved playing a full-time schedule. There's also the looming transition to $2/$5 to consider. At this point, I'm hoping that playing the challenge will bring me there first. If that goes South, then I'll have to retool and consider taking a shot once a week on a non-challenge day.

Orleans: 3 hours:
+$83

Three Stacks $600-$60,000 Challenge:$1/$3 Level:

Link to Challenge Rules

Starting bankroll: $600
Last bankroll: $1380
Challenge day progress:+$83
Current bankroll: $1463
Bankroll needed for $2/$5: $1875

Nah. The Negreanus and Iveys of the sports betting world set the lines for the bookies. They can't have my EV, when they won't even look me in the eye.

Given the excellent 2nd shift service, it's a cinch to drink $50+ worth of mixed at the Bally's $105/$2k gtd. The rest is all drunk EV calc.

Enjoy your honeymoon brother. Much more exciting than a Bally's small stakes bout.

Out on the bubble. We paid the bub a bit (I was the last one to agree to that,) so I only lost $25 plus $7 in drink tips.

Bally's $105 tournament: 4 hours:
(-$32)
