Yeah, I'm better than the guy that quit.

Then arm yourself!
Take what is rightfully yours!
Throw down the dogs who would keep you from your destiny!
Or something.

Been a while. Getting the circle jerk. Probably time to start entertaining offers from other companies. Still shorthanded and no progress in hiring anyone yet.

Not much to update. Addicted to a new vidya.

Got a new mattress, it's pretty amazing.

Putting in my 2 weeks notice tomorrow. Kind of worried, because i don't have a firm job offer, but have a really good feeler out there and an interview for a higher paying job.

Don't like quitting without an offer, but new place won't even interview as long as i work here. Previous lawsuits and such. Current company is lawyer happy.

Was told that when i put in my notice, he'd set up an interview. Guy is genuinely interested, so there is that.

Had a meeting with my boss. He kind of just set it up randomly, gave me a small raise. He wanted to put in a plan in place to bump me up higher.

I told him that him that i was going to put in my 2 weeks. He asked if i had anything else lined up. I told him just interviews. He told me not to quit before i had a job offer at least, because things fall through. It didn't make sense to quit unless i was totally completely miserable and to miss out on paychecks.

So, didn't quit yet. Making a little bit more. Hired on a completely green guy that we're training from the ground up.

I slacked on job hunting, not sure what i want anymore tbh. I want to make the bigger money still, but dunno if i actually want it immediately or not. Because that involves leaving. Seems like so much effort. Still doing the soul searchings.

Are you bored in your current job? That would be a very good reason to put in the effort for something new.

I'm fine with current occupation. The jobs i am fishing for is the same thing that i am doing now.

Soul searching is worse than job hunting, imo.
Glad you're not unemployed (I got that covered).

Knowing that you're wanting to leave, they probably hired the new guy to replace you eventually

Na, we've been needing a new guy for months. Just taken a while to find something. Would take new guy years to replace me

It's about time to get a new vehicle. Had this truck for 10 years, trying to figure out what to replace it with.

Went through the budget, so i know what i can afford.

Been looking at sedans midsized+. Leaning towards something like an infiniti q60/70, bmw 500ish series, a Cadillac.

I need to actually go look at some and see what feels right. Any suggestions?

Oh. Update with job. I got a small raise while i continued to look for another job. I got offered about 15ish K than i am currently making, but in a role i don't want.

I told my boss that i got an offer and the amount, and that he should expedite his plans about making a plan for me to increase my money.

We'll see how it goes.

Not going with another truck?
How about the midsized crossovers?
We looked at a caddy, Wifey went with Cruze. It's not a POS, but right next to it.

Sitting at the dealership now, just drove a q50. It's pretty nice.

Going to keep looking around. No rush.

Yeah, i think i don't need a truck anymore. After driving her beetle, i want something smaller with some go, in a 4 door model.

Q50 legroom is slightly less leg room in the back than what i want, but everything else feels nice. Don't know if it's worth the price jump for more leg room back there, or if it's needed.
