Gonna be a good day, Tater

Tomorrow, I give some new chick a crash course on how to do part of my job.

She gonna fill in while I'm doing the whole wedding/honeymoon thing.

Hopefully, she isn't better than me.

In other news, I slept like a log on the way to work.

Still trying to find a restaurant tasty we approve of for wedding. We thought we had one, but the place decided to not be accommodating. Forcing us to go into a limited menu and giving us a minimum bill while tacking on administrative fees....and then threatening us with like a $400 cancellation fee. We were only trying to make a reservation for 13, and had 2 requests that weren't over the top.

???

So we'll go somewhere else, I think.

No WSOP. I wouldn't playing in a small event or two some day.

I got invited to a home game. Never again. I left early mid tourney. Details later.

Jack-eat-ohs, for 13 folks, don't tell the vendor it's a wedding. Save the rapage.

She wanted a special dessert. And they wanted to know what the occasion was. There was no rape on the pricing standpoint though. Was normal standard dining pricing imo

So anyways.

Guy at work invites me to play some poker at his place. He mentions that like twice a month that he and his friends get together and play holdem tourneys at each other's houses. I told him that I'd ask the woman to make sure that she didn't have any other plans.

Now, I've been to a ton of home games. Some serious, some casual, but all of them put poker first: like starting on time, good structure, if you leave seat in a hand and you miss turn to act, you're folded. Just normal rules.

Well: this was a glorified drinking session. They brought their little kids and they ran rampant in the garage/outside. Play was constantly slowed to check on kids, hands were not folded when the father checked on his kid when he was still in the hand and had action pending.

Just slow slow slow slow slow and very disorganized. Players were bad, I could have made a killing, if I stayed. About 4 blind levels in, I made up an excuse to leave, despite probably being chip leader or near it by a long shot.

$20 lost probably pretty +ev because I got to keep my sanity.

Biker wedding in an hour in my backyard. Daisy freaking out because she can't figure out what to wear.

She doesn't seem to understand that it doesn't matter at all because they're wearing biker gear

Delegating work is so much more satisfying than actually doing it. Well, tedious data entry

Thinly veiled brag...
