... and sometimes I can't stand living.

Welcome to my blog. I am a 30 something from Omaha, living the dream for better or worse. I have been inspired by biggerboat, tylertwo and a few more of you guys and I thought I would give this a try. Hopefully I can entertain you and at the same time make my life a little better, so comments and feedback are always appreciated.

I will be posting songs that I love, giving you guys a little of my history and discussing my current thoughts. I think I am interesting, shocking I know, so this has the potential to be a good thread. Where should I start though?

I guess I will start out by naming my favorite activity. I am a pool player, always have been. Leagues just ended in the last month, they run from October to April, so I am kinda bummed right now. I am quite good too, also shocking I bet. We play 8 ball and in one A league this year I finished 3rd out of 100 players for most table runs. This was also my first year playing A leagues, I played in two of them. One of my teams was tied for first place with a month to go in the season, this was in a league where one team had 3/5 masters, my team had 0 masters. We ended up finishing 3rd but we gave it a really good run. I played in one B league too, I finished the year with the 3rd highest average and 3rd most table runs in the league, but that is not that great of an accomplishment really because the competition isn't very good.

Pool is ****ing awesome, I love competing and I love the adrenaline rush that comes with it. Throughout my life the one constant has always been competition. I played baseball and basketball in high school. I have a hole in 1 in golf and I have broken par on 9 holes before. I have been gifted with size, I'm 6'3" with good hand eye coordination. I guess you could say I am a natural, but trust me when I say, for all the good things in my life there are tons of things about me that I don't like. I am gluten intolerant, I suffer from depression and I have an illness that I will get into more detail at a different time. I also suffer from chronic pain.

I studied geology in college and I got really good grades. I however failed to get my degree, I only needed to complete my senior thesis, ugh, why did I not do that? I will definitely get more into that at a future date.

I played poker professionally for 3 or 4 years and I had a blast the whole time. I miss it so much. Hopefully your interest in piqued, I will go on at a later date, I don't want to tl;dr you to death.

Have a good one!

Thanks guys. I enjoy both of your blogs so far.

Pretty sick to have 2 hole in ones, although I did hit the pin/hole and lipped out at like 11 years old too, felt kinda robbed. My hole in one was 172 yds with a 5-iron, I know I hit like a girl with my irons. Some pros would just step up and smash an 8 iron for that yardage, or a 7 iron.

I think my next blog entry will be about netflix, I can't recommend it enough. I am binge watching House right now, which if I recall correctly is the highest rated hospital show ever made. For good reason, its outstanding. My computer screen is a 42 inch tv, I watch netflix on one side and I watch 2 tables of poker on the other. Usually I watch TheLipoFund play mtt's, but right now I am watching Urubu111. I hope he wins his 50k bet on playing 500k hands of 1/2 2/4 3/6 plo with a profit. He is down a decent amount of money 5 days into it, but it's way too early to call it. His ev is positive so far, so he just needs to run better obv. Rail him if you have some extra time, at pokerstars, and check out his bet thread in high stakes plo forum, here's a link

OK, so it is established that I am bad at updating this blog. I will try to do better in the future.

I played 9 holes of golf today, in league. 4, 4, 4, 5, 5, 5, 4, 4, 5. A 40, not bad for my third 9-holes this year(with a 4 putt, ugh). I used to play a lot more than I do now, we have won the league 5 years in a row. Our best golfer shot an even par 34 tonight with 3 birdies, one bogey, one double. MBFN!

Then we hit the bar, this is a bar league. I drank some of the strongest drinks of my life tonight, and this dive bar we play out of does not **** around. I am gluten intolerant, so drinking beers and wiskey/vodka is basically a no-no. Captain/cokes with Jager-bombs is all I drink. Hopefully Jager-bombs are gluten free, I haven't researched this because it's just so good and I seem OK after I drink them.

In the past week I watched House seasons 1-8(which is the reason I have not updated, I finished it yesterday). And let me tell you, season 7 is the ****! You need to watch it all to understand, but season 7 and 8 are to die for. Bingeing this show is a ****ing great idea. I have nothing but good things to say about it.

I go to a pain doctor(which the main character from House basically takes 2 vicodin every few hours), for the last year+, and I am on oxycontin 10mg extended release 2 times a day, which I finally got bumped up to because I had hemorrhoids aound new years last year, and they gave me oxycodone for the first time, which is more powerful than tramadol by 10 times. I was on tramadol for 5 years before this. So my doctors can reference that I am not an addict searching for drugs, I just really need the pain pills. I do not ask for a higher dose each time I visit, although I could.

I have never done heroin, but during the hemorrhoids nothing but the good stuff(oxy) made me feel ok. upping my dose was so necessary, hemorrhoids suck!! My regular doctor hates that I go to this pain doctor, but living in pain is for ****ing suckers. Give me the good stuff. I need it. I wish I didn't, but where is the pain coming from? I have no idea. It sucks, let me tell you. When I take 4 oxy's, which I have done exactly once, I do get high. I do not feel pain. It's heaven sent. But taking 4 means I have to not take any pills for the next 3 days except at night. Which I can manage because my pain is such that I have a hard time sleeping through the night. So I always do my end of the day dose, no matter what my pill count is at, it's required. For my favorite heroin song click here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5d91pMZkxkQ The Mars Volta, mmm, so good! Just don't overdose, like the guy in the song does, that is sad.

Hopefully this is not boring. I am trying to be honest here. Lying is for suckers, you heard it here first. I discovered my favorite singing voice earlier this week. I posted it on FB and my cool young aunt commented that it was her favorite voice too. The artist in question is Sia, she is from Australia, like Kimbra(one of my favs, too). My first Sia song was "titanium" by David Guetta. Then I heard She wolf by Sia and david guetta. Both songs have been listened to 250,000,000 times. I love these songs, I listened to them for hours, over and over again. Then I next song of hers I listened to is "soon we'll be found," from the Letterman show 2008, it's a must see, imo.

This is her best song ever, no doubt!

Here is my sia playlist, I went through all of her best songs and these twelve are the best.

https://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...FWCsWMBlnTokAS If you do not like radiohead, skip the first song imo.

I saved the best songs for last incase the first few songs don't grab you. Enjoy her amazing voice. She is coming out with an album this summer, her first single is amazing, its in my mix above, but it can also be heard here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eVWB...TokAS&index=12

Enjoy her music. I do, entirely. Over and over again, I can not get enough.

I figure I have rambled enough tonight, listening to Sia is always a good idea. Trust me. I will update this more often, I hope. Spread the Sia playlist around if you like it, trust me when I say that she is worth the hour it will take you to listen to her 12 songs in my youtube playlist.

Sia's claim to fame, besides the ultra famous David Guetta songs(and all her other great songs), is she wrote Diamonds for Rihanna, I love that song. Here it is if you want to hear it (you are welcome for the Victorias secret video ) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D-qXve0NUNc

I understand that I linked 5 songs this post, plus a 12 song playlist, so I understand that I am asking a lot to make you listen to them all, but I highly recommend it. I promise these are high quality songs, well worth your time!

Sia songs always get great at the end, she crescendos very well.

Hope all is well, take care!
