Hello community,
My name is Rihard, 22, and I am pretty new here, though I probably have an account since 2013 but I haven't been a frequent visitor at 2+2. I live in the United Kingdom, however originally I come from Latvia. So here I am creating this blog to track my progress.
Bio
I have been playing poker for not so long as many of you here, in October I think it will be roughly two years. Although I did play it even earlier, but that was mostly for fun some freerolls during Full Tilt times. This for fun play didn't last long because I didn't take poker as serious game back then. I used to be semi-pro gamer playing FPS games and when the gaming scene in which I was involved started to die I decided that I need to switch to something else as I am very competitive person, thus I cannot live peacefully if I don't have some challenge. Obviously I turned to poker, as some of my friends were already playing and I decided to give a shot...
(too long to write, lets move on)
I guess I don't need to continue on that part as it is very common between all poker players, i.e. I tried this and that, I liked that and not that because blah blah...
Present
Straight to the point - I am playing NLHE 6-max Zoom games. I used to play up to 50NL at the start of the year until I hit huge mindset downswing and was spewing money without learning from my mistakes until I hit rock bottom. At the very moment I am being staked and coached by very nice friend I got from lurking on other poker community (not sure whether I can mention competitor company). I am not sure whether many of you guys know him, but I guess many 200NL Zoom regulars will recognize - BrokeSoBroke, true Zoom crusher that keeps his opponents on their toes.
BrokeSoBroke decided to help me when the times were the worst for me and we signed a two year deal for profit share coaching. I started from 5NL couple weeks ago and just moved to 10NL. We are dedicating a lot on improving and putting in the volume in order to move up as fast as possible.
Goals
I will summarize some goals I have.
- The first thing is obviously to improve as much as possible.
- Do not care about winrate or wins/losses, focus on decisions.
- In June reach 100NL (a lot of hard work involved).
- By the end of the year crush 100NL and move to 200NL.
Graphs
As you can see below, before our deal I was playing terrible. Not just terrible but beyond terrible. But this coaching deal is for this reason, to change my whole world!
Here is the graph since we started. This is only for 5NL. I will post 10NL graph later once I get a decent sample.
Conclusion
Thanks for reading my post and stay tuned for upcoming updates that might come! I promise, they WILL be epic!
One hand at a time guys!
