Yeah they only have the 1-2 no limit on Friday nights at PJ's. The rest of the time it's a 1 to 5. Except for Tuesday nights its a 2 to 10 game. The rake is only 5%. That's probably how they keep the game going. The owner of the place is a real nice guy. The food is good there to.

if you are living around there why not start a big game once a week or two. years back we had giant games all over the hi-line. in the fall and winter the farmers all have their crop in and have bucks and time to play. the secret number is 500 buyin and you will find guys losing ten thousand sometimes or much more. dont do credit.

I stop into the Oasis Bar when I'm passing though Wolf Creek. What is humorous is the Baptist Church standing right next to it. They stop into the church to get the spirit then walk over to the bar to drink the spirits. LOL

that joint is a dive bar. once i awhile i do stop in there for some dinner when the bar in craig is closed. i like that one better more upscale and the fishermen all drink there.

they do have good fried chicken.

i finally split a small tourny yesterday. i went a few without cashing so it was time for me.
i played more conservatively and it worked. although this time it did.
the guys left at the end mostly were ante themselves broke players, and they did.

i lost two key races at the end and still snuck in. that is the luck part.

Are there decent cash games in Montana, or do you just play tourneys now?

montana has plenty of smaller and mid level games around the state.
in my town we have a pot or no limit game 3 days a week. with regularly 800 dollar pots.

there are places with ten twenty holdem and plenty of 1,2 no limit.

i do travel around a lot in the northwest and mostly if i play it will be in a tournament as that is mostly the biggest games for payout.
there are only a small handful of places that play games where you can expect to win a thousand or more.

tightened up a little in some tournaments and did get to split a first and get a third.
the last bunch got ahead early with good chips but seems i keep running into big pairs with small boards on the flop when i am trying to pick up the pot.
after that being short stacked you just have to go for the moon at some point.

not too long ago i decided it was time to plow into a bunch of oil related stocks. it looks like i got in at the perfect low point which is good but i dont expect that.
my outlook is a longer time frame and not a trading range.

mostly bought small companies that have been hit hard in the downturn. a few may go bankrupt if things take too long but i dont care. as the others will rebound enough to make up for it many times over.

You might want to look back at the 80s before making this crystallized. You would have underperformed the broader market if you had had timed the bottom absolutely perfectly.

that is assuming you keep all your investment money in the market and never move any in or out. i put money in lots of different spots. but when i feel i see something that is extra good i plow into it.

I meant the advice specifically, not at deals in general. Oil/commodity stocks historically underperform the broader market over at least a decade (usually two) after a crunch even if you actually catch the bottom to the penny.

It is one of those situations where a good deal isn't even as good as an average deal.

Of course, history might not repeat. Your 249T might be good by the time the river hits.

Just as the moon was getting dark tonight i felt bad vibes from out in the fields in front of my house.
These kind of natural events bring out the evil lurkers of the night. As my hair stood on end and my skin started to crawl I looked out the window.

I knew immediately what was about to happen as i watched the shapes of the living dead walking and stumbling towards my abode. My hair stood up on end immediately as the zombies came closer looking for me as the blood flowing through my veins was their desire.

No way was I going to stay inside and have them break in with their feeble strength and kill me while eating me alive for my blood and guts, spewing my body parts around like a bunch of pigs in a potato patch.. So outside I went to meet the attack head on. Having before killed many of these creepy putrid devils of the night, I picked my weapons for the task. First I used my glock pistol to shoot 15 of them thru the head to end the first advance.

After dispatching those vile smelly dead rotten flesh eating corpses I strung a wire in a circle around me large enough to run around and fight inside. As they tried to enter, the bumbling stumbling sinkpots would trip over the wire falling face first in the dirt and I quickly bashed their heads in with a four foot long hunk of 3 inch thick galvanized water pipe. The best part was watching my chickens run in and eat the brains from the beasts who were once my living neighbors who through no fault of their own came back to life to try to take me with them to hell and beyond..

As more and more came upon the grounds, using a small flame thrower burnt those things alive if they were alive. The stink of burning flesh smelled oh so sweet this time. A fitting end to their attack.

Soon the moon became bright and all my worries were over for the near future. A couple of beers later and I felt happy.

in the pnw we are getting blasted with rain and wind in different places. also some cold is moving in but not too bad.
definitely the winter is coming in hard. i finally got all my chores done so am ready. send it.

it will be interesting to see how an alliance with russia, france and us will work out trying to wipe out IS.
they might have gone too far and now will bring down too much power on them.
i suspect they will get diminished like the taliban and al qaida did.

as well as the kind of hands that come up which end up being large pots with many ways to lose it if you play it wrong.
