lost for my first time tonight in montana. one of those days where everything seemed to go the wrong way. lost two buyins for the night. no way if i had seen everyone's cards could i have won.
i did keep my loss smallish with some good decisions. we all have bad days and good play makes those bad days not a big deal in the grand theme of things.

coyote pups are running around in the back woods. they had their pups a couple weeks ago. only saw two of them but cute little dogs running and playing. mom sleeping and dad keeping an eye on me from up on the hill.

doing fine in the poker games. the games are good and everyone has money to burn.

I burn books, not money.

But it is good you are still in the game and stealing money from losers, boozers, and wannabe pros. Your bank account must be bulging. Do you still have emergency cash buried in the backyard?

no i snuck into your yard one time and buried it there. i know no one is stupid enough to mess around your place.

ive been running sprinklers almost 24/7 keeping all my trees wet enough.
i have sandy type soils so its hard to keep it moist when its been so hot.

i use hose timers for them so it isnt too much manual work.

this year it looks like i will get a bumper crop of plums and apples. i get apples august through november.

my cherry trees did well with lots of slightly tart red cherries.
many go in the freezer for cherry rhubarb pie during the year.

played a long 13 hour session yesterday after having gotten up at 6 am. that morning.
got a little stuck right away and was pissed i had woke so early and started after being awake 7 hours already.
but things turned around and i got to leave with 7 buyins ahead. called a hard days work for sure for an old man.

dont worry about being weird bryce, you fit in well and can post.

Kansas City is not a great poker town. My home poker room is STILL closed from COVID. My regular game is 1-3 nl but it plays much bigger than a regular 1-3 nl game( you can buy in for biggest stack size and the average stack is often around 2K and you can easily win/ lose 3k in a night, 10 K in a week, but it hasn’t existed this year. The last time I played a hand of live poker was April 2020. The big game in kc is usually plo but it’s set from 10/20 to 100/200 based on whose playing and what the 4 profitable guys in that game want to happen.
I’m curious how well I can play completely not under the influence and am going to put my mind to the test next year.

never ever gamble under the influence unless you have a desire to lose for some reason.

I didn't realize you lived here. Is your home casino Ameristar or Hollywood?

I truly wonder if either one will open back up. What are they waiting for? Johnny Chan to star in Rounders 2?

I know that Hollywood says they are going to have a grand reopening, but who knows.

I’m kind of private… but I will say I’ve played every stakes offered (except 100/200 limit stud) at all 3 rooms, and also argosy during the boom. I first became of legal age to play in 2007.
