Knowing the game you're currently playing, you're almost always going to have a table with the bolded. The good thing is most players there don't change their game too much, so you can rely quite a bit on tendencies.

(We've played together a couple of times, including recently, but I didn't know who you were until after the fact).

my fruit trees are doing great this year. i think i finally got it together. and my black bear that visits when things get ripe only terrorized one this year.
i lost all my cherries to the robins and magpies. but my plums are getting ripe and delicious. apples are a ways out up here.

When I lived up north I loved watching blue jays eating my apples and leaving a perfect apple core hanging from the tree.

I don't like the Stellar Jays picking chunks out of my strawberries.

My gravenstein apple tree has lots of apples and I'm anticipating a good crop this year. Watering the tree a bit because it has been a dry August.

Often, what is being eaten matters more than what is doing the eating. This is even true if what is doing the eating looks like it is wearing a ridiculous hat.

You should encourage them to eat apples.

apples are juicier if you water them more. most all fruit and vegi's are.

my apple trees in montana get water every day although my soil there doesnt hold water well.
the only thing i have to worry is that the deer, the yellowjackets, or the black bear gets them before i do.

poker games have picked up some. summertime some of the players from the southwest where it is too hot to be come up to montana for the golf and heat relief.
most are from the older crowd and have money and arent there just to win but for the social aspect of the game. even in the pot limit omaha game where losing hands gets costly, we have plenty of players that show up.

we had a good game last night. in the omaha high part in one round playing six handed we had three 4 of a kinds on the flop with the pair showing. i got caught in one but luckily the pot stayed small head up. one of the guys got two in a row and doubled up against flopped aces full.
no reaction but a stunned player who lost.

in front of my house i have some apple trees. this deer and fawn seem to like to lay under the closet to the house and when hungry reach up and take off an apple.
i can go out and yell at them and the fawn runs off but momma just looks at me even if i get within ten feet of her.

the games have gotten tougher lately around here in montana. i have to be more careful about continuing on after the flop with someone betting. much better hands are showing up on the river. still plenty of pots over 500+ in the game.

games got good again. our regular game has picked up with big pots.

todd brunson is in town with his yearly poker tournament which draws a bunch of canadian and out of state players coming to enjoy the montana summer and the fun atmosphere of our poker. games arent large but about 30 dollar limit but always action to the end each pot much of it multiway.

split a little one last night. no real big pots just a grind to the finish line. game was fairly loose so i just stayed away from hands that couldnt make big ones or steal little pots.

had a giant snowstorm for September in montana. my cabin at glacier national park got about 4 feet of snow. yes 4 feet.

luckily it will melt with some 50 degree days ahead up there.

got 4th to night and very lucky as i never won a hand before the break. then i was short and moved around a lot and ran it up. your style changes so much and so quickly in fast rising blind tournaments.

spent this afternoon making a giant bonfire with trees and brush. hot enough i cant get within twenty feet of it for more than ten seconds. needed a wet day with wet ground to be safe. i think i am getting too old for this hard work.

I did the same recently, lots of fun:

I tossed on lots of books also to add BTU’s.

its against the law to burn some of that stuff you have in that pile. but i wont turn you in if you promise to be good in the future.

It's fine that you are giving Zeno a break, but you must think of your duty to society as a whole. No man is an island. You should go ahead and report him, and then perhaps say a few kind words to his parole board.
10-09-2019 , 11:33 AM
thanks mack ill do that. but i will offer to post bail for him.

The evidence went up in smoke; books and all. Including some by David Hume.

Ray and Phat discussing duty to society is a bit rich. But it does make me smile.

Also: I've always been good.

True, and the best kind; completely mobile.

most islands are a hunk of barren rock sticking out of the water someplace.

getting back to poker i made two last tables which didnt pay anything and left broke.
one i had really no chance of getting further. and the other got my stack in bad with good and lost as i should.

Hi Ray Zee. I feel bad for all the people who supported me since I never did anything.
I am doing relatively well. I realize now, of course, I don’t get to be the star of the show so to speak, and have to be more of a help others focused person. Like if anyone reads anything I post it will be about me trying to do very simple things for others , many which I have failed to do in the past , and avoiding all grandiose posts.

wonderful feeling to help others. as long as its ones that appreciate it. you have to weed out the worthwhile ones form the others.

good to see you around bryce
