most all building in the back county and wilderness areas has to have no motor driven equipment used.
generally only in emergency will they allow it. not likely would they allow it so its all brought in by horses and mules.

Hey Zee, any fires by your place? Nothing but smoke here in Seattle. Daughter sent me pictures of wildfires on 84 in the gorge.

tons of them nearby me in montana. although 30 or more miles away they are big and dangerous ones. drove right by the 84 fire just after it started. just about all of oregon, idaho, washington the east side and all of montana is smoke filled and unhealthy rated air.

I just drove back to Montana from Oklahoma. Ran into the smoke at Douglas, Wyoming. The farther into Montana the worse the smoke got. Very bad smoke from Butte all the way up to Great Falls.

Look on the bright side: you're out of Oklahoma!

he as born with wheels instead of feet.

smoke everywhere in the pnw except for the very northern west coasts where its real nice.

We finally have an interesting weather forecast for Great Falls. On Thursday a high of 50 and a near 100% chance of rain. A high of 44 on Friday with a near 90% chance of rain. The extended forecast is calling for more rain next week. I hope the weatherman is right. We need this smoke knocked out of the sky. And I hope the forecast is the same for the rest of western Montana and it puts out the forest fires.

Hi, Ray. Lots of 1-2 NL games in Oklahoma which is about my speed. I was down looking for machine opportunities mostly.

well the northwest got plenty of rain in most spots and the giant fires are history.
lots of damage and loss but the land will recover nicely in a few years. now the fight to keep the logger mentality from persuading the political machine that we need to cut all the trees so the woods doesnt burn. that has proven not to work as many giant fires go back through the logged areas where there are only smaller trees with little bark to fight it off.

its fall. officially at least by john cole who is the dedicated weatherman. so that means the fish are running. i mean the poker fish. thats when they give up golfing, fishing, sun bathing, and get back into playing poker.
so its the time if you are interested in money to get off your butt and hit the tables.

last few tournament s have been a bust for me. not even close to getting a payback.
but thats okay as the players have seemed to get interested in playing three ball on the bar table. that makes it fun after the tournamnet and should tiled a pay day. although not big but consistent and fun .
it isnt all about the money but it is all about the fun that comes from the money changing hands.
10-08-2017 , 11:27 PM
It doesn't get much more fun than bar table 3-ball!
10-09-2017 , 10:26 PM
anything on a bar table is fun as you always win against the crowd there. rarely will you run into a real good player that can run the table ahead of you.
plus being a pool room player you know safes and control shots that bar players never learn.

our buddy zeno is presently in paris traveling around europe. he is certainly enjoying his retirement as is what all should do. in the lounge he will likely be posting pics when he returns from his trip.

he has already posted some great photos of his hike on the pacific crest trail up in the mountains of the pacific northwest..

did get to split a tourny yesterday. i really go lucky one hand to be able to be in the race though. after that i did things right the rest of the way. personally broke 4 or 5 at the last table.
10-15-2017 , 11:11 PM
grabbed a small 5th place so things are looking up. would have been a big chip leader but got bit by a 3 outer on 4th. in fast tournaments its hard to protect against or get away from hands.

with a firery summer wrapped up and fall closing shortly all the big fires in the northwest are out . california got burnt real good but they are always in summer hear it seems.
fall had nice weather as usual for fall and now as winter starts edging in the next bunch of months get dreary it you stick around and dont get out much.
10-28-2017 , 03:19 AM
todays tournament i was one of the first out. 6 limpers to me in bb so i raised much bigger than the pot with 4,5 did get a caller allin for my bet he had king queen.

next hand i lost and went out on i had ace , 8 of clubs. flop came king, 8, 3, two clubs

first player with 5 players in bets small. he tends to be a caller but bets with nothing. i moved all in he called with a pair of tens. so i drove home after 20 minutes of play.

Good to see you last night. Thanks for the omaha advice? Hard to imagine I am playing too loose when there are 6-8 players seeing every flop and I am playing 40% of hands including blinds. Exclude those and am down to 25%. I do think the idea of folding "monkey in the middle" hands is wise. I told you about the one I got trapped in playing the un-raised big blind. What I didn't tell you about was being in the same spot later that session and folding my draw. If you ever make it up to Seattle would enjoy watching you play in my little game or taking on the big boys in the PLO.
11-02-2017 , 10:24 PM
good to see you again as well buddy.
11-04-2017 , 03:39 AM
heck winter aint even here yet and montana is blasted with ice and snow storms with more than a week of no temps above freezing. this global warming crap is getting bad.
11-07-2017 , 11:05 PM
time to get back to some cash games instead of a bunch of fast moving tournaments for awhile. this will get me out of my hatred of the have to win a few even races to have enough chips to do any good in those quick tournaments.
