some are for bringing in the refugees and some are dead against it. either way we need to make sure anyone no exceptions, that moves here has an allegiance to our country and its ways.
the only way to be sure or close to be sure is to require no exceptions is a lie detector test that is comprehensive.
this way we find out how they think about us and will they fit in.

another way to help solve the refugee crisis, is to make a safe haven in their own country. make it a large area and have all the people that cant stay where they are, live there until they can retake their own land back.

it would be much cheaper for the countries that are now footing the bill and more secure for them, if it was a protected area by military. they would be in their own country and can fight and reclaim the territory which they can never do scattered around the world.

only when they are willing to fight and govern themselves can they ever hope to be free if that is what they want. if they are happy with a dictator so be it.

whats with these emoji things. now they are going to put them in every place as it seems people cant read what is said and understand the meaning without imagining it is something else.
what happened to the good old days where people didnt get offended over every little thing.

I am fairly sure such a time didn't exist.

it sure did if you were from the east coast. over there we had hard feelings or you would have no chance of ever making it. people said whatever, and you took it as that most times it meant nothing and just the way things were said.
every thing nowadays has to be politically correct or someone is offended.
i dont fit in as i say whats on my mind and take the heat but who cares.

Back then people used their facial expressions and tone of voice instead of emojis. And if someone disagreed or disliked what you said you knew it.

The big difference is that people with really ****ty expressive and receptive written communication skills feel like it is their right to write.

i recently saw a show where people talked about those using botox to get rid of their wrinkles. it works of course but takes out the facial muscles movement in some way so they cant express themselves with their facial expressions.
so they become hard to read what they are trying to say or interpret their agony or pain for instance.

the in turn the people they are speaking with dont return the facial expressions and neither side gets the benefit.

although botox may be great for poker players with tells. :-)

we just got through a big cold wave here. not fun. but poker was good during it as it always is during bad weather. we mostly play pot limit omaha high and split.
we have a limit of 800 allowed in the pot so it makes for some differences in your play.

you still have to play tight but get pot committed real easy because of the cap.

for those that send presents through the mail get on it. last year many came late as they made a lot of mistakes in delivery.

the two big companies hire many temps for the holidays, so get it in the mail before they get swamped too much.

Hey Ray, when this tournament happens is there lots of surrounding cash game action?

he has it in august and mostly is played by locals with some friends and out of town people coming in. most that come in for it are not higher stakes players.

But what about stuff like 2/5 games or other mid stakes?

I'm not a high stakes player but it would be fun to combine a weekend playing somewhere new with a trip to one of the parks around there.

there are in my town those games all the time. but alot of four card games. with lots of 800 dollar pots.

I was reading through this thread and you reminded me about skating so I went to a local rink and skated for over an hour today.

You seem like somebody who took the poker life and did it right Ray. A real poker role model in so many ways.

I really enjoy playing poker in new places, as well as nature and outdoors type stuff, so Montana poker is definitely something I'll try out someday.

There's a thread in the "Live Poker Rooms" forum where some of us have recorded all the legal card rooms we've ever played at. There's some very impressive lists. If you ever feel like trying to remember as many places as you've played as possible, I'd love to see your list as I imagine yours would feature as much variety as any.

Here's the thread.... http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/27...played-539455/

ive played from austria to austrailia. before the traveling internet kids left the country to travel and play.

come up to montana some time. great golfing, national parks, fishing, superb skiing, and ok poker in most cities and real good poker in a few.

my pond froze over and just about ready to skate on, we had a warm spell and it all melted. but in a couple weeks it will be back.

it seems crazy that the politicians are lifting the ban on exporting our domestic oil. for years we were worried about not having enough oil and being controlled by those countries that do.
so now we get production up but still not more than we use, they are going to let the producers sell it all off and leave us in the future with no reserves again.
our fields are decent in size and production but not large enough to carry us.

we cut our national forests down and export raw logs for a loss, now are we going to let drillers on our public lands drain them off for short term gains. it seems so.

Do you ever give lessons in poker or fishing? Well, have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Your fishing blog is very interesting. I used to have an ugly stick and did some nice fishing off the shore of Mexico. Tried fly fishing when I lived in Phoenix, way up north of course.

I don't know how crazy this is on a scale of 1 to 10 but I actually think politicians and bankers are trying to engineer ww3
12-24-2015 , 05:41 PM
i dont think the bankers have an agenda like that or the politicians. but their ineptitude could easily lead us in that direction over time by alienating other atomic powers.
while trying to show them we are supreme and not to be messed with and meddling in their affairs

jersey girl i always help my friends with poker and fishing. i find it is fun to help and most appreciate it. i do limit the poker help to those i am not competing against.

i would like wish everyone who reads this happy holidays wherever you are, and thanks for paying attention to my writings which ramble at times, most times.

this year we have gotten a ton of snow and will have a very white christmas in montana.

to those that ski this might be a good time to visit the state as the snow is dry and plentiful for this time of year.

Thanks for writing! Happy holidays.

my article this month was on superstitions in the poker world. in one of the games i play in we have a few that are really funny with their beliefs to change their luck.
one just with wanting to change the deck after only a round or two without a big hand.
two others change seats when losing never to get in a better position but to find one that is luckier than the one they were losing in or getting bad cards.
there are a couple others but they read this so i will leave out their quirks.
