Not putting in hours has been an ongoing issue. I remember showing my parents what I would earn with Supernova Elite + a menial winrate. I ended up playing two days a week (albeit 20-tabling) and barely achieving regular Supernova. I am very, very aware there is an issue with work ethic.
I've "made it work" for me. I didn't reach my skill level without thousands of hours of play, just stretched over the course of almost two decades. I also did it mainly under the destitution of a treatment resistant mental condition. I am damn proud of what I've done to this point, despite leaving money on the table.
I'd like to think I can change this but it's probably not a reality. I was a hardcore slacker in school, I've always hated work, and I don't love challenging myself. I'm aware these are not admirable traits, but it is what it is.
I am open to hearing from the choir.
