I've really enjoyed reading the blogs on here so figured I would add my story. Recreational winning player who plays on the side to pay for family vacations, etc.

I work a full time job as well with some pretty crazy hours and I have 2 small kids. Play on average about 1.5 times a week.

I play 10/20 limit at the local limit casino, 1/2 No limit at a casino with electronic machines, and 2/5 No limit at another local casino.

I'll try to post live updates and chip pron.

My biggest leak is playing too long. This comes about from:
1) Being stuck and trying to get unstuck
2) Being up and trying to book a big win because fish are in the game, so sticking around when my game has deteriorated.

Another big leak is been there are lots of fish in the game and I go in spaz mode and iso like crazy but fish are stations and your cards matter.

So if anything, when I post live updates and I've played too long or misplayed a hand, encourage me to go home!

Playing live 10/20 right now. 30 minutes into the session, stole a pot with 7 high when it was checked to me and I bet an AKKJJ board 3 handed.

Had a wierd hand. Kill on and I bought the button in the sb. I pick up ak and raise a couple of limpers. Flop comes 236 and I check. Guy to my left bets, lady raises. I tank fold. Turn is a K, river is a 5 which gives the guy on my left a straight (he had 44).

In in my regular spot: lots of fish playing loose and I should head home. I promise I will head home in 1 hour. Developing...

It's mind boggling just watching the hands that get shown down and win. If you are able to take the suckouts in limit the game is fantastic. Stuck basically one pot, leaving shortly.

Cashed out stuck 2 pots. Frustrating session, fish just kept hitting I was either card dead or would miss. Last hand I raised AQo get 5 callers. Cbet a k84 board with Kd8d 2 callers. Turn is a brick I think a 5s. I fire and get 2 callers. I check the river 2 and the winner rolls over k3o lol. She was for sure calling, she was in the small or big blind. 0/5 with ak, 0/2 with AQ, 0/1 with 1010, flopped a set of 3's but bricked the rest. Also the one time I got a flush mega fish who raises with middle pair has the nut flush (runner runner and I lead on a k high board where he has only the flush redraw or ace).

I'm running the opposite of last night. Hitting straights, flopping a set and rivering a boat. Just some run good and I recognize that. Chip pron to follow.

Had a good night. My too pair type hands held up. Last big hand there is a straddle (lol) a raise, and I reraise with AQo. Flop comes qs2h4h.

I have no hearts. I am first to act, I check. Checked around, I am like ***** and the hijack bets I raise. Everyone calls. Turn is the 9d. I bet everyone calls. River is the Jd. I bet hijack tank calls, MHIG!

Dashed out for a short session. Was up 5 barrels now up almost flat. Some old fool wouldn't chop and raised of course I reraise and flop too pair only to get value Towned by KK. I am such a moron.

I have a new goal. I am going to LV for the July long weekend.

I'm going to see if I can make 10 clams between now and then. 5 clams for a new dining room table for the wife and 3 clams for a custom ASM set. 2 clams would be my LV bankroll.

Racking up shortly. Something I did poorly today was folding to raises when I was on the blinds. The old man who wouldn't chop with KK was on my right so whenever he was in I was in. Lol tiltaments

Took the family out for dinner, threw the ball around with the kids and watched the first 2 periods of the hockey game (rangers and Montreal) with my son.

Heading out for a short stint at 1/2. Aiming to just play around 2 hours. Meeting up with a buddy of mine. Starting session shortly...

Lol down $180 in 2/5 after 10 mins. Raise on the button and run into flopped trips and river top pair.

Run into a flopped set with a gutter and nut flush draw.

Vitaly had mentioned potentially going to wager at our favorite equine track, which also has electronic poker. Went out with the family for dinner, threw the ball around and watched 2 periods of the hockey game with my son, and did some work, before I got the summons.

Put myself on the list for 2/5 and 1/2 planning to play a quick session. Got on 2/5 right away and in 2 hands within 10 minutes I was down $150. Raised with KJo on the button and BB and 76 on a 1077 flop and I river a J.

In a limped pot I have Ad4d, flop a straight draw and turn the flush draw against a flopped set. EZ game! Vitaly comes over to tell me he is "running like God". He had KK versus an opponents QQ and is up $200.

I stick around at 2/5 waiting for 1/2 and finally manage to get myself even. I sit down at a relatively standard table, and notice a couple of pretty decent players.

To my right is the table LAG who opens every hand. I call him down on an AA79J board with an Ace and quickly find myself up $100. The Captain decided to table change away from me and I play 2 orbits before deciding I miss the Captain!

Vitaly's table is loud and rambunctious but it is full so I can't move over. Luckily a seat opens at the captains table.

I have AsJs when he makes it $10 and a couple of guys call. I raise and he calls. Flops comes 10d7c3c. I fire and he calls. Turn is the 10c. I check and he bets and now I am stuck $30 .

Some uneventful hands later and I finally manage to get up tangling against the captain. He triple barrels me and I call him down super light and win a big pot. Table is shocked and captain decides to call it a night. I am sad but now up around $150.

A seat opens up at Vitaly's table and I take the opportunity to join him. Vitaly has a run of bad luck as his two pair makes the table bullies (TB) straight and soon Vitaly is stuck $150. This villain is on my right while his "powered up" friend is on my left.

We talk about the richest people on earth and I try to enlighten the table and let them know that Africa has a place like Fort Knox but instead of gold they store elephant tusks.

It's limped around to TB and he raises pretty large. I have 7c7d and call. Flop comes Qh8h3c. I check TB bets and I call. Turn is a 6h. I check TB fires and I tank call. River is the Kd. I check TB fires a huge bet. I call. He has 104o and I scoop a massive pot.

At this point Vitaly jumps in and asks TB. "Did you misread your hand?".
Table has been boisterous and goes dead silent after the hand. After an orbit Vitaly says "why is it so quiet"?

TB now decided to play the jam stack game and I snap him off twice more.

I'm sitting on around $800 and gradually work my way up to $991. Vitaly has worked himself back to even and then goads me into staying and trying to break $1k.

At this point Gomer Pyle joins the table and buys in for $60 and makes the most awful plays. He is down to his last couple of dollars and jams it all in. We get the table to start chanting "send him home" but no one can call him.

He has $3.75 in front of him and shoves. 4 other guys call and I look at 44. I think about raising, but the table is having fun so decide to call. Big mistake.

Flop comes Qd4d5c. Friend of TB beside me checks and I bet $20 into a pot of $25. He makes it $125. He has 80 behind. It's a pretty strong bet And I think about it and jam. He snap calls with Ad2d. Turn 2c river 3h

I lose a $600 pot and rack up shortly after. Finished up almost 2 buyins and the run good continues.

Looking to play Saturday, haven't decided where yet...

Getting annihilated by the fish tonight. Down 3 big pots. Playing a bit longer but hopefully can extricate a bit of money. Losing streak definitely over.

Playing now. Lost 2 pots to a player who is a calling station. Then went on a heater with 1010, 6h7h, and had AK on my kill with an AK10 flop.

Regular mix of mostly bad players. I'm debating moving up to 20/40 especially been I see a couple of 10/20 players who aren't that good moving up.
