Running a 1/2 Marathon Saturday, pumped for it, great way to burn some of the calories I'm going to devour today.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanks, I felt great after, I've kept myself in Half Marathon shape with running 4-5 miles 3-4 days per week and 10 on Saturdays, just gotta make it though the next few weeks without gaining too much holiday weight, easy excuse, but this time of year is so tough.

How's your fitness and weight doing post-marathon?

I slacked off quite a bit in December, barely getting 60 miles in for the month. I've gained about 15 lbs but I'm back at it and preparing for a half marathon on January 16th.

It's been months since I've posted movie grades, partly because I don't watch many movies during football season and partly because I've been lazy.

I started studying for the CPA Exam this week so my viewing volume will probably remain low most of the year, but I'm going to try and squeeze in a couple of the Oscar favorites over the next 4 weeks.

Anyway, here's my August - December list.

Titles in red are available on Netflix, green are available on Amazon Prime, brown are available on HBO GO/NOW, blue were seen in theater, and italics are re-watches.

Quick update on all the TV shows we've been watching over the last several months:

- The Office - We finished a complete rewatch a few month ago, I'm sure I've posted about The Office before, but I just love the show so much, yes it started going downhill in season 6/7 and kind of fell off a cliff when Michael left towards the end of season 8, but overall it's right there with Seinfeld as my favorite TV Comedy of all time. So many memorial lines, scenes, and episodes.

- Parks and Recreation - After finishing The Office we decided to jump back into Parks and Rec. I've watched every episode of Season 1-3 multiple times, but on this rewatch I've realized Seasons 4 and 5 are great as well. Tom's whining makes me want to break my TV and sometimes the April/Andy immaturity stuff is too over the top for my liking, but other than that I LITERALLY (Chris Traeger voice) love every minute of this show. We're a few episodes into Season 6 right now, which is when we quit watching the show live, so I'm looking forward to the remainder.

- The People vs OJ Simpson- Fantastic stuff, if you missed it make sure to check it out if/when it comes to a streaming Network, or it may already be there and I'm not aware

- The Fall S1-S3 - Randomly stumbled across this. One of the darker shows I've seen as it delves into the mind of not only the Detective trying to catch the Serial Killer, but also the Serial Killer himself. It's hard to watch at times, but so riveting that we were ready for another episode each time we finished one. Highly recommend.

- Stranger Things S1 - There's been millions of words already written about this show. Like many others I feel like it was taylor-made for me. Sci Fi, 80's nostalgia, and a cross between Stephen King and Spielberg. Thought it was fantastic and will definitely be rewatching and enjoying the entire season again before Season 2 gets released. Most everyone's seen Stranger Things by now, but if somehow you haven't, check it out ASAP.

- The Walking Dead S7 pt 1 - Blah, we keep watching it and I keep complaining. Really enjoyed the early seasons, but it's been ok at best since then IMO, and it really bottomed out for me this season. Negan started out as a great villain, but insisting on giving him 4 drawn out monologues per episode has really pushed my limits with this show.

- Bosch S1-S2 - Solid Detective Drama, nothing life changing, but enjoyed it, worth a watch of you're into Crime Dramas.

- Westwold S1 - Watched the finale Saturday night, great show, as always with HBO it's well written and acted. I'm going to have to do a google deep dive to read about theories and everything I missed and have forgotten since I watched this over a 4 month period. Highly recommend and looking forward to Season 2.

- How to Get Away with Murder - Normally I snub my nose at Network shows, but we decided to give this one a shot. We're almost finished with Season 1 and I'm still undecided on it, every time I start to get into it there seems to be a major eye roll moment. Not sure if I'd recommend it, but on a positive note, we're 13 episodes in and haven't given up yet.

Upcoming Shows:
- Sneaky Pete
- A Series of Unfortunate Events
- 24 Legacy
- Girls S6
- The Walking Dead S7 pt 2
- Better Call Saul S3
- The Americans S5
- Bates Motel S5
- Fargo S3
- Game of Thrones S7

Just "anger-ran" 5 miles at a 9 min/mile pace. Felt great and helped clear my head, might be sore tomorrow though.

Not doing well this so far this year. Easy excuse is extra busy at work plus studying 25ish hours per work. Need to get my head wrapped around being mentally exhausted isn't an excuse to eat bad. Plenty of people maintain healthy eating habits with busier schedules than mine.
