"Maybe in our world there lives a happy little tree over there."
-- Bob Ross

Went out after work on Friday and got wasted drunk. I'm not proud of it. I started out over on the east side of town and then wound up at Red Rock. I dropped around $140 playing video keno. What a douche!

Right now, I'm losing around $60 a week on slots. My first goal will be to cut that down to $30 a week. I'm going to allow myself to play once a week for $30 and tip my bartender $10 for a total of $40 entertainment. I'll try and stick to my "free play" days only.

I played in a $3 Rebuy/Add On MTT yesterday and cashed 5th for around $50 American. I had deposited $40 to play 2nl and ran that up to $50 or so. I used $9 of that in the MTT and wound up with $100 bankroll.

Re: LEVEL UP!!! Las Vegas

Yesterday? Played a $2 MTT and finished... 2nd for $18.20

Today, I woke up at 6a and couldn't get back to sleep. I played 10nl for an hour and then got a hair up my ass to play horses. I walked over to Red Rock (20 min) and I won't be doing that again. I wound up dumping all of my money into a machine before the first race went off. Busto!

I picked up 2 sick packs at Trader Joe's on the way home: Stone "Delicious IPA" and Sierra Nevada "2016 Beer Camp Tropical IPA".

Online role is around $120 which is triple what I started this thread with so LEVEL UP!!!

Days without smoking: 15

Re: LEVEL UP!!! Las Vegas

Went to Red Rock again today and **** away $130 on video poker. I was originally going over there to make a deposit in my sports account. I had $15 of free play though... I got a racing form and sat at the sports bar. I played my free play. I played another twenty dollars. I looked at the races and realized I'm over horse handicapping. I chatted it up with a cocktail waitress and then I said, "**** it!" and blasted off a hundo on video Deluxe.

I was so pissed I left without making a deposit.

What I learned today:

+ I AM ADDICTED TO VIDEO POKER/KENO AND I NEED TO STOP
+ I DON'T GIVE A **** ABOUT HORSE RACING
+ I DON'T GIVE A **** ABOUT SPORTS/SPORTS BETTING
+ I CAN'T STOP/HANDLE DRINKING LIQUOR

Sorry for all the caps, lock was on, I'm not retyping, **** you...

I'm really over gambling in general. I've tried to be a professional at poker, sports, and horses off and on for 14 years now and have just never got there. I don't think it's going to happen for me.

To Do List for tomorrow:

1) Work Out
2) Review a beer
3) Eat Tacos
4) Start a music blog
5) Start a drone blog
6) Play an MTT

Re: LEVEL UP!!! Las Vegas

I broke down and deposited $30 on WSOP.com last night. I already worked it up to $38 and I'm pretty sure that I am awesome at poker. I've decided to quit betting sports, horses, and video poker. Poker is going to be my only gambling game from here out.

I actually worked out today. I did the "Mike Tyson Prison Work Out" (squats). Here's how that works:

Mike Tyson Squat Workout

Tyson did this body squat routine while in prison; it doesnít sound too hard but itís a real killer:

Line up ten cards facedown in a straight line on the ground with 4″ in-between each card.

Begin by standing over the first card, squat down and pick up the first card.

Holding the first card, take a step forward to the second card. Squat down and place the card you just picked up on top of the second card. At this point, youíll have no cards in your hand, and 2 cards will be one on top of the other on the ground below you.

Squat once and pick up the first card.

Squat once and pick up the second card.

Take a step forward to the third card, squat down, and place one of the two cards in your hand on top of the card on the ground. Now squat down and place the other card on top of the cards on the ground.

Squat one time each to pick up the three cards one by one.

Take a step forward to the fourth card, and repeat this process until youíve made it through all ten cards.

I made it through four cards, lol. Oh, and ten sit ups!

Just reviewed this beer on RateBeer:

Wow! Pours a beautiful amber gold with a thick creamy head of tightly packed white bubbles. Perfect! Aroma is snuffed out by the thick head but eventually comes through: caramel, citrus, dough, and (I hate this term) grapefruit. Taste is so well balanced! Sweet malt gives way to sour, then big bitter wit some salty umami finish. Just great! A medium body, creamy texture with lingering sticky. Just a ****ing great beer! One of my favorite Sierra Nevada products.

If you're on RateBeer hit me up!

http://www.holidayroyale.com/

I stayed there for my first few months in town. It's clean and relatively safe. It can be a bad area but some staff live on property so they are vested in keeping it safe/clean.

Walking distance to Hard Rock.

Re: LEVEL UP!!! Las Vegas

I am glad I started this blog. It is helping me realize how deluded I am. Some problems:
  • I'm grinding micros while routinely loosing >$100 on my video poker sessions
  • I keep running small deposits up on WSOP and then tilting off my bankroll
  • I can't quit smoking

I'm also going to ditch my ideas about trying to start a blog for money (for now).

The new plan (goals):
  • I'm going to quit playing video poker and use the $30 (min) that I lose on it nightly to fund a 1/2 bankroll.
  • No more tilt!
  • I'm going to quit smoking and use that $8 per day to fund my 1/2 bankroll.

and Delete all my blog fail.

Re: LEVEL UP!!! Las Vegas

I think I have mental problems. I set all of these goals for myself and then forget about them within 24 hours. I am struggling with motivation here. Whatever the **** ever.

Anyway:

I blew off almost all of my online poker bankroll on tilt and MTTs. I was left with four dollars which I have PAINSTAKINGLY grinded back up to $15 American. I am going to grind that past my initial $20 deposit up to $40 and then start taking shots at MTTs with my winnings from 2nl. Who ****ing cares?

I quit smoking on Friday morning and then went right out Friday night and bought a pack of cigarettes. I got drunk as ****, lost all my money, and drove home. I did the same thing Saturday except I made it home with some cash. I ****ing hate myself sometimes. I am off for five days though, which is awesome. I can usually quit drinking and smoking on my days off so, I should be able to put a few sober days together.

My goals for this week are five days with:

+ NO DRINKING
+ NO SMOKING
+ NO VIDEO POKER

I'm also going to do short fasts (17 hours) today and Thursday.
