I'd recommend limit Omaha hi/lo full ring games, with 5+ players to a flop regularly. Play ABC and you'll show a steady profit. It's not exciting/glorious, but it's a much lower variance way of growing your roll than PLO.....

If you hang out with the Trooper, at least you will be not exposed to drugs or alcohol, only a **** load of Starbucks. GL with poker endeavors, and staying clean.

Really enjoyed the read, you really do have a talent for writing you should stick with that and I think a lot of us come from checkerd pasts but that's the great part of Vegas it lets us re invent ourselves. best of luck to you and run good.

The best thing about Las Vegas is that no one pretends to be responsible for your behavior like they do in the rest of the country. There's no meddling self-righteous liberals or right-wing Christian demagogues telling you that you can't do something fun with your own time and money. If you can afford it, it's yours.is perhaps the most color-blind, class-free place in America. As long as your cash or credit line holds out, no one gives a damn about your race, gender, national origin, sexual orientation, address, family lineage, voter registration or even your criminal arrest record. Money is the great leveler.

It means that I smoke medicinal and drink sometimes still. I abstain for awhile if I get carried away. I maintain sobriety while I gamble for the most part (sometimes I allow myself to be a degen if it's not completely inappropriate, after all I didn't move to Vegas to be a saint) which brings a much needed balance to my life.

I'm not saying it's the best idea, my point is that although addiction can be a negative thing, I also feel as though it can be a strength. I try not to feel too guilty when I mess up, Instead I accept I'm human which enables me to focus on moving forward.
