I was just going to say (without trying to sound like an *******) that it needs a little bit of work if it was going to ultimately be used as a money making venture and/or wanted a big following.

For family/friends it's good.

Following and heading to Nepal in August - afterwards dno. Only 24 old and planning on 1-2 yrs of travelling tho.

So many negative comment in this thread that I found it funny. OP is obviously good enough for the rest of is life with $500 000.

I'm 26 years old an planning to do something very similar to OP with only ~$35 000. I'm also going to quit my non university degree 100k/year job for that.

lol it does seem like you're playing the "opposite day" game from school. everything for you is opposite. no more money coming in = set for life financially. don't know where to go = world trip to EVERYWHERE

I'm not sure yet, so many pros and cons in every countries. In fact since my budget is about 14 times smaller than yours I can't afford to travel the world. So my plan was more to find a country I like and stick to it. Learn local language and stay on budget as long as possible. Hopefully till I'm 30.

When I'll get back to Canada I'm thinking of doing a Bachelor in Philosophy and try to get a PhD.

I'm not world travelling using my whole 500k. I'm planning to spend 20k max, so you're fitting in the budget !

En fait ce que je voulais dire c'est que comme je pars seulement dans 7 mois, je n'aurais pas grand chose a poster mis a part les préparations ou 100 posts sur du genre ''c'est décidé je vais en Thailande'' , ''Ah non Laos finalement'' , ''Je vous ai dit que c'est le Vietnam que j'ai choisi comme destination?'' etc...

I can't say where I'm gonna be in september. I'm a bit dreadful because I don't think september is that great for many asian countries (I might be wrong, have to check). I think that China is ok but I don't feel like going there (couldn't tell why). If I'm not wronh Indonesia is good in september so I might go there and then head toward Oz/NZ at the end of the year. We'll see, too soon to say !

I can't speak for others, but I'm not a hater. I gave my reasons why I believe this is a bad idea at this particular age, especially given the fact that you've given no thought whatsoever to what you're going to do when you run out of money down the road. That said, I wish you no ill will at all. I hope that this new life of yours works out in such a way that all your dreams and aspirations are fulfilled.
