In Japan, they filet the eels and then smoke them or put them on the grill. They serve them on a bowl of rice and really pretty good.

When I was a kid I liked catching them on light spinning tackle. They get a lot of traction in the water and put up a terrific fight. I'd give them to a Dutch family who would hang them on a clothes line and then skin them like a sock using a piece of flannel to grip them.

The same for China. Most of it is very good, I had everything from pig tongue to who knows what and even those "hundred year old eggs" or something like that, that used to be soaked in horse urine. If it tastes yummy; I'll eat it.

Horse meat in Sicily is delicious. Hell, I'm not even adverse to a dose of cannibalism now and then. BBQ of course.

Work/Life - Balance - Part 4

It's sold in instalments. "Email me for Parts 1, 2 and 3, yeah?"

"Once you have identified your gifts and talents with crystal clarity and exact precision, then connect what you can do to what people need and want - WITHOUT HESITATION!

The purpose of our lives is more than we think at this moment, our life is our Time and how we spend our Time is how we spend our life! But modern life evaporates our Time and extinguishes our Money. The staged world of modern convenience can limit true expression............ if allowed."

And so on. I don't see fulfilment on the horizon for this guy, but what do I know?

Anything sold in installments is probably a scam instigated by some sly charlatan.

Forget that stuff and ignore. Just read your bible; you can steal one at most hotels/motels in America and I assume also in much of the UK. No installment scam and all work/life
balance questions are clearly answered. Don't fall victim to wrong information.

It's true, you can charge way more by selling in instalments. Good luck to him, I say. This is the kind of enterprising mind that even Ray Zee might approve of.

No residual illegal substances in your urine, I assume you mean.

Is the UK Orwellian police state still monitoring your intake and throughput?

Is your reading material subject to surveillance and inquisitive justification procedures?

Are you allowed to read this:

I didn't ask what the test was for, but "there's nothing in there." Neither am I colour blind. The Marchioness disaster was the result of colour blindness, according to my doctor.

The media discards the mundane and highlights the sensational, although I'm sure you knew that already.

Just read the wiki on the boat crash. Some of those involved were described as "former students." Is this what you call layabouts? Seems generous, if so.

Thank God for the rain.

I am an autumn child, and have long considered it the season that meshes best with London. It neutralises the grime, and justifies the melancholy. I notice the leaves floating down the Thames. Full on. And somehow, the traffic is beautiful too. Apart from in Whitechapel. Jack the Ripper. More roadworks than roads.

You capitalized god. Silly you.

What do the Londoners do with all the leaves that don't float down the Thames? Bag them and ship them off to the Irish; to feed to their children.

The deer eat most of the leaves that fall from my large Maple Tree in the front yard. That's just part of gods overall earthly plan. Like the floating leaves in the Thames.

It's the London to Brighton car run tomorrow. Like in Genevieve. I saw a couple of them today. They look good, but more road closures. I have been driving a cab for nearly a year, and I'll add it to the calendar.

The day starts okay, and I wind up at Paddington. Sometimes a big queue of cabs there, but not this time. An ordinary looking guy gets in, and gets off the phone long enough to tell me Regent Street, in a west country accent.

Regent Street is closed today, sir, because of the car rally. Yeah, his son is a rally driver and is involved with it. Is Bond Street a good place to buy jewellery? It is if you're rich. Where's the best place? Hatton Garden, maybe. More calls, the Piccadilly end of Regent Street. Okay, down New Bond Street, coincidentally, and there's his son on Burlington Gardens. Small world. Bungs me a good tip while on the phone to a friend in Santiago about jewellery. Some people have real money.
