Pretty annoying day, but I did what I had to do. Directly went to the gym after my appointment, and did this:

Seated DB shoulderpress - (2x) 6x25, 6x25
Frontsquats - (3x) 5x75, 5x75
DB-DL hookgrip (2x) 6x30, 8x30
Chin-ups - (2x) 5x+9, 5x+9
Dips (1) 5x+6, 5x+6

Despite only a 40 hour break, squats and chin-ups with 5 reps worked very well again. Will do a light workout on Sunday morning, without squats and weighted chin-ups.

Busted the Friday 8-Game, and also bubbled a satellite to it. At least got 140$ for it, though. Still in the 27$ daily HORSE now as massive chipleader, single-tabling while watching TV.

Tomorrow will likely be one of the biggest MTT-schedules I ever played, regarding total $ invested. I sold half or more of the 215$ events, so it is all relative. The 215$ HORSE and PLO HU TCOOP's both have a 6 figure guarantee, but I sold 70%, since turbos are such crapshots. At least in the PLO HU, I will get to play a lot of hands and have a good edge, against much more than half of the field, I guess. Lots of other midstakes MTT's on the schedule. Saturday is really the only day left that I actually grind more than 6-7 hours anymore.

Oh, I ran so bad again... Lost several 2/1 favourites ( in PLO!), and ran into monsters on two bubbles. Starting tomorrow's session with the 320$ 8-Game TCOOP, the last event of this awful lottery-series.

I will be doing a light work-out around noon, then eat well and chill for a few hours before the 8-Game starts. together with the 33$ Omania and three 82$ Weeklies, I will have a small, but hopefully not short session.

I will take Tuesday (and Thursday) off from poker, and only play a few NLO8 MTT's on Wednesday. Never played NLO8 seriously, but would like to add it to my repertoire, since it gets pretty soft fields in all red/special events.

So sick... Busted 8-Game TCOOP and three 82$ Weeklies, but I had 2% of a guy in the TCOOP 700$ ME, who ran deep. He played great, and made top 20 with average stack, but then got QQ and ran into AA with a 12bb stack, in a pot which would have put him in the top5, if won... I would have turned my 14,40$ investment into $8.8K, if he had won it... Now got 150 bucks

I partly played terrible today, specifically called too much out of the BB, and made ugly second nuts a few times.
Really need a 3 day break from the grind after tomorrow's big Omaha MTT. I will single-table it, and focus hard to give me the best possible shot to turn this downswing around, and hope to finally win these 2/1 favourites I tended to get, but also lose way more often then usual.

I still have downswing, its problem!
But I am playing great... getting it in good, just bubbling too much, combined with these 26th and 13th places and and such. Just can't hold when it counts... it's all the same, only the beats have changed

Thanks, mate
That gif is taken of which movie?

Now I had a nice upswing. Shipped the 82$ Weekly 8-Game, and made third in the Monday PLO to get back into the green.
Tomorrow, I will play a session of NLHE and NLO8, two variants I rarely play. But since I need to improve my nlhe, and start to get decent at NLO8 with +25bb to play some weekly events soon, I will skip all PLO and Mixed tomorrow, to only focus on grinding the no-limit tourneys.
Though, only up to 27$ buy-ins, if I bust the satellites to the 55$ and 109$ Big.

Got in a work-out today, but am too lazy to post. Frequency of squatting is not yet getting too hard. I still progress each Tuesday and Thursday for at least 1-2 reps or 2.5kg. 3x5x80 today

I ran bad the last time, but am in less than 1K mark-up, so it's not yet ugly.

For the next time, I will spend my Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays to improve my nlo8 and nlhe skills, since I intend to add the 215$ Weekly and the Sunday Million to my schedule, at some point in April.
I will already play the 82$ Weekly NLO8 tomorrow, and started to add some Big and Hot nlhe - mainly on PS.fr - to my schedule, to oil the notches a bit, combined with some studying.

Aside of poker, it's been very boring since NYE. But I will likely be going out on Saturday in a week, and then it's just 6 weeks left until spring, good weather and SCOOP.

Today, I went to the gym and only played 4 tournaments single-tabling afterwards, just to change things up a bit. Gym went way better than poker...
I started doing deadlifts again. This time, with 2 plates under the plates on the bar on each side, cause ours are quite a bit smaller than normal olympic plates. Once, I made two reps with 142,5kg in another gym, but only intend to work up to as many reps with 120kg as possible.
I will use ramped sets, which means I will do 5 sets of 8 reps in each, from warm-up 40kg up to the only really heavy set of 80kg today. +5kg per week should be doable until I reach 120kg, I think. The muscle-memory-effect is really extremely strong, in my experience.

I was doing 2 sets with 3 reps and 87,5kg frontsquats easily on Tuesday, and will ofc go for 90kg on next Tuesday. I have no clue where my bodyweight is at atm (90-96, I think), but I am very close to frontsquatting bodyweight for at least 2 reps now, which is a long-term goal of mine since more than a year, and has to be reached asap, since it's not even intermediate, when being serious about lifting.

I took Monday and today completely off, and went to the gym on both days.
Yesterday was standard, but today I finally managed to do Frontsquats with 90kg for 2 reps, and I think I even had a third in the tank. 2 reps with bodyweight should re reached before April.
I will only go to the gym 2x per week now, focus on squats on both days, and start doing 100 push-ups during all my breaks combined over my Saturday-session - 10 reps more each week - and combine jogging and chin-ups on Sundays. That'll be way more comfortable than going to the gym and playing a session afterwards.

On Saturday, I think I will do 1x25 push-ups in the first break, then 1x20 in the second break, and then 1x15 until I am done. Should be fun, and maybe it''ll already be finished within one or two breaks, if I run really bad, haha

I have busted about 30 MTT's in a row now, I think, but it doesn't really get me down. In fact, this is the first time I can remember running that I ran really bad right before a big series. Over all the years, I basically always made a somewhat big score (/scores) right before the start of a series, and then mostly bleeded away my profits in a big series. But in this case, I go into the Omaha Series already being stuck quite a bit. Positive thinking ftw!
And despite gmblers fallacy, variance having no memeory ladida... I still have the strong feeling that good things will happen very soon.

Busted the 100$ PLO on FullTilt today by flopping the nutflush, getting raised by a set, just to see the board pair. Pretty symbolic for at least a dozen of busts of formerly nice looking stacks over this last week.

Tomorrow, there is a 109$ 7-Game on FullTilt, and the 10€ / 30€ / 100€ 1r1a opening events of the Omaha Series. Together with the 82$ PLO PSKO and the Weekly HORSE, those 6 games will make up for my whole session.

We had some great weather today, and it's already getting a bit less freezy in general. Can't wait for May, when there'll be two great outdoor parties at the first two weekends. I will take about two weeks off from poker, and then come back for 2-3 days warm-up before SCOOP starts. Good times coming in 2 months
But first of all, the FTOPS will start shortly after the Omaha Series this month, and I can finally play Mixed Games with somewhat big field-sizes again, which is as much fun, as it is rare.

I won the 100$ 7-Game on FullTilt today, after coming back from a 1:3:10 chip disadvantage 3handed, and then from being a 1:3 dog heads-up vs cal42688, one of the best MTT players over all variants. Best maniac I have ever had the joy to play with
Funny thing is, I am still in make-up, despite that score, but I'm really close to even now, and have a lot of good events coming up this month.

I started doing regular deadlifts again, but only up to the weight that I can frontsquat, since I really want to go slow on upping the weight at deadlifts. One reason is, that I want to keep using an undergrip (like when doing barbell curls) and don't want to rip of my biceps, and it's also a lot easier to keep my upper back straight like this, compared to a regular or mixed grip.
I will simply do 3 sets of 8 reps of deadlifts with the same weight that I can frontsquat for 2-3 reps, and lower the time of breaks in between the sets, if it gets too easy. Will do deadlift at the end of the upper-body day on Thursday, and heavy frontsquats on Tuesday, as usual.

Looking forward to playing four huge PLO MTT's this Monday, and then finally have time to go to the gym again on Tuesday, when there is just a smaller buy-in speed-down* event of the Omaha Series.

*I think way more tournaments should be speed down, with 5x 3 minute blinds, then 5x6, 5x9, 10x12, 10x15, and then 20 minutes until the end. It's so obviously superior, that I just don't get it why this is not the norm yet. Less play when everyone is a nit, and way more play when it's getting to the final-table.

I'm really not made to post here regularly, I think. Not enough going on, at least not during late winter here...

Been going out with a friend last weekend, but didn't really have a lot of fun. My highlight of the party was giving the guy who cleans the toilet 10€. Those parties were a lot more fun back in the days, when I was still doing all sorts of drugs without even thinking about it, or getting any serious hangover of anything. Don't ask me what happened about 2 years ago, when I took the first pill (mdma) after more than 6 years of abstinence... Few hours of mindless fun, and then a few days of feeling all the hangovers I was able to dodge when I was younger,... at the same time. Only slightly exaggerated

Bought a pair of Converse shoes today, which I will wear at the gym from now on, so that I can use my gym-shoes for jogging outside, which actually is what these shoes were made and bought for. Will only go to the gym on Tuesdays and Thursdays from now on (bit less intesity and higher volume of exercises), and go for smooth jogging, together with chin-ups/push-ups on Saturday and Sunday, before my weekend-sessions.

Didn't drink any alcohol for several days, but had a few drinks yesterday. Will again not drink for a while now, especially not on the weekends, since this would definintely kill my ambitions to go jogging in the morning.

7 weeks until May, when all the BBQ's and some private outdoor parties start.

Oh,... well, thank you

Am finally fixing me sleeping schedule today. Waking up in the afternoon was still perfect to play the Sunday 9 Million this Sunday - which I lost with a set vs 34suited naked flushdraw on the flop, where my opponent shoved 20K into a 3K pot with a 2k all-in in front... he hit it, I didn't fill up, gg - but makes no sense anymore, so I just stay awake the whole night after my session now, and at least half of the day, to get back to a normal sleeping schedule.

Will hit the gym at 7 in the morning, which is always nice, because it's so empty at that time.
Went jogging on Sunday, and had zero trouble to do 20 minutes at slow pace.

Bubbled and busted everything today, and again am in quite a bit of make-up. Though, FTOPS just started, so I have many good shots over the next 12 days.

Goal for the next time is to keep a normal sleeping schedule, which is worth a lot.
And ofc to ship the 10-Game FTOPS on Thursday!

^^ I merged my stacks at the FTOPS 10-Game final table for 6th place and deal HU, then went to a party and accidently stumble into a real-life with new job, gf, and enough other demanding new things/tasks for a serious stimulus satiation (all within 4 days...).
Needed a new challenge after beating the all PLO and Mixed MTT online, and actually started to enjoy having to do a ****load of things every day by now, at least after the first coffee/tea in the morning.

Managed to do frontsquats with 95% bodyweight fir 2 reps today, and if I would not have failed to clean the weight twice (no rack), I would surely have been able to squat bodyweight at least once. I just suddenly becam spastic in my right shoulder when trying to clean the weight out of the preacher's-curl station, but made it in the thirs angry trial, including towel around the bar to get a better grip (no chalk rule).

My defefaction is going well, and I just ordered barley-weed and whey protein for placebo and bro effects, while drinking a bottle of really decent bock beer.

Well, I will stop going further now.
Stop playing poker in close to 10K make-up, and will get a soulless job and start drink nothing but whisky, dociley awaiting my first heartattack, like all the other zombie bastards, who are selling each other insurances and cars and whatever.

Pokers tough, sorry to hear about the big makeup. Maybe you can find joy in the game once you have steady employment, drinking whiskey to escape the situation you are in is a red flag don't ignore it.
I too love basketball and poker but can only play poker now because my left ACL is torn for the the 3rd time. Got a bone graft surgery to prepare for the new ACL revision last month which can't happen for at least 3 months. Find solace in the things you love, alcohol rarely satisfies on a deep level long term when your feeling down.

Hey I'm 31 and just getting my life together, met lots of folks who waited longer and are doing great no reason you cannot
