Everybody has goals in their lives, whether it be something profound and noble like curing Chagas disease, trivial and whimsical in the manner of a man who teaches his children inappropriate life lessons, or purely material for those who buy collector plates under the assurance that their value can only rise. My personal goal does not fit any of these categories in a neat manner, but I do believe that the reader will find it worthy of serious consideration, eventually leading to circumspect action. My goal is to have the least commented blog on 2+2.
At the time of this writing, I have significant obstacles to overcome. For starters, there is the formidable
mtt3166123 blog, weighing in at 44 days of inaction. Mr. 3166123 has tales of playing poker, moving halfway across New England, playing more poker, and dreaming of playing poker. At well over a month of being reigning champion, he is my stiffest competition.
My penultimate challenger is amphibious and/or reptilian. I've never been entirely clear on that point.
McToady's blog is a transatlantic tale of the rough and tumble path from a $100 bankroll to fervent dreams of one day sitting down in an actual, physical poker room where he may play poker in a TAG-type poker style of poker. Forty one days separate us.
In a potentially not-very-distant third is the beguiling
blog of McCrea. This is clearly a guy from the woods. The existence of 2 Scottish prefixes in my competition of three is certainly notable, but I do not suspect foul play from the nation of haggis. Rather, I believe there is an inherent nature of these people to rise above the chaff, like an immortal being who may only be slain by beheading. This is why I consider McCrea to be a dark horse candidate for the final mano-a-mano betwixt my upstart blog and those of my predecessors.
I do realize that I have burdened myself with an Herculean goal, and I m fully aware of the magnitude of this task. However, I am also a firm believer in the beneficial synergies that may occur when a supplicant meets with kindhearted altruism. We may all stand taller upon cresting this mountain!
Thank you for your time and consideration.
