The plant managers boss(not sure what his title is, but he's way up in the company) invited me to be on that conference weekly today. That feels awesome! They mostly discussed the companies finances and projections, so it's cool to get to be privy to all that info.
Last night I got to spend a lot of time with my daughter doing science experiments. It's so much fun teaching her about acids and bases and reactions and just watching her face light up.
Today I was on the road for work and I stopped at a dinner in a small town. This nice old man (85) ask if he could join me. It was such a treat. We talked about the Vietnam war and my industry and it's advancements through the years and about his son that he lost. He has no family left and just spends his days driving around Texas. The way he spoke of his son just really hit home for me that the time I have with my daughter is precious. He told me to "always stay sweet" as I was leaving. I'm thankful for random encounters with strangers that lead to life reflection today.
Kinda weird, but I took this photo of him.
