As the title states on Monday I'll embark on a journey around the lower 48.

About me

I'm a 23 year old from the Seattle Washington area. A couple of months ago I had the random Idea to go out and do something so I decided to take off and drive for a while and thus the trip was born. I have 4 or 5 places I actually need to be but other than that I'm gonna go where ever I feel like.

The main reason I wanted to do this is because I never went to college. I got a good job straight out of high school making more money than most of my college educated friends are now. Because of that though I feel like I missed out on the college experience, the adventure, and just having fun.

So, I am taking 3 months off of work starting Monday June 9th.

In this thread you will find a mixture of stuff. I'm leaving and driving straight through to San Francisco and staying the night there. From there I'll be heading to Carmel for as long as it takes to walk onto Pebble Beach. It's been a dream of mine since I started playing golf 15 or so years ago. Be plenty of pictures if I manage to get on.

Gonna make a stop at Santa Anita to play some horses.

From there it's off to san diego to watch the mariners play the Padres and more golf. From there it's up to vegas for a week to play the Monster stack WSOP event starting the 26th. I intend to win and fly to Europe for a year or two haha.

After that It's kind of up in the air. The only thing I know for sure Is I plan to be In Boston on August 22nd to watch the Mariners at Fenway.

There will be lot's of Pictures, I bit of drunken debauchery, and a lot of fun to be had. Figured this would be as good of place as any to document it.

This is quite awesome. I am from Seattle and have been dreaming of making a trip to the midwest and east coast for the 2-5/5-10 games.

Will be following this for sure.

Playing the Belmont undercard today from home before work. This is the best betting day of the year IMO. Trying to hit some tri's and the pick 4 and 6 that have 1 and 1.5 million gtd. The exotic pools get huge for these.

Working night shift tonight and day shift tomorrow. Leaving 5 am Monday morning. Getting close

Got off to a rough start but Ended up losing $8 thanks to a big bet on Commissioner to Place/Show

Off to a rough start already, got home and was looking over the car one last time. Radiator hose is cracked so got to get that fixed in the morning. Made a reservation for Win-Rivers casino in Redding tomorrow night, get some poker in.

Thats running good. Could have found it while driving...

At a rest area shy of the Oregon border. Got off to a later start do to my radiator hose busting. Making good time though

Day 1

Not much to report, just a lot of driving. 14 total hours because of that stupid radiator hose.

Got to Redding at 10 pm, low and behold they have a poker room. 1 game of 3/5 going buy in for $300 cause thats all the cash I have on me.

Something about me, I like to think I can play good poker when I want to. Problem is most of the time I don't want to, it's boring to me. So the majority of the time I play a losing style of poker, but I have a lot of fun, dealers make a lot of money etc.

With that in mind only hand of note was calling a 3 bet out of possition with KTcc. Flopped 698ccc. Got it in with a short stack and won. Made a quick $160 and the game broke. Went out and played some blackjack. Made a couple hundo and hit quad Kings on JoB.

Just woke up gonna drive down to Carmel today with a stop in San Fran.

Walked into a restaurant in Monterey dressed in shorts, sandals, and a tee shirt. I am terribly underdressed

Day 2

Man, I thought traffic in Seattle was bad, what should have been a 5 hour drive to carmel turned into an 8 hour drive to do traffic on the 101. Made it down here though and got checked into a slightly sketchy hotel. But at $60 a night it's the cheapest option.

I have a tee time at Spyglass this afternoon and one at Pebble Beach tomorrow. A lot of money down the tube but should be a one of a kind experience.
