wild fish with swiss chard& potatoes was very nice.

I ate it with finest domestic olive oil.

It can't get any healthier than this, if this diet doesn't help me there is no way to fix me.

Which part of Europe can we get so many nice food at 3rd world country cost?

Only Croatia

Im not even kidding

Best restaurants in for example Germany and Austria are importing food (mostly fish) from Croatia.

Over 90% of our tuna is for instance is exported to only premium places in Japan.

I bought these two wild beauties yesterday on the market, they were so fresh that they smelled like sea and their eyes looked so clear that I thought they are still alive.

Tell me more about winter in Croatia. If I like what you are saying I think Croatia might have one more foreigner.

you can choose your winter in Croatia,

in the North, capital Zagreb, there is a moderate climate with moderate winters, probably something like 7 days of snow per year. These days is like 10 degrees celsius and winter days are over. Sometimes February can still be snowy idk there is no specific rule on this.

If you drive just 100-150kms souther there is a mountain region with longer and colder winters (these days still a lot of snow)

However if you go more south, like 150kms more, you'll come to the seacoast (south-east part of the seacoast is called Dalmatia)

in Dalmatia, there is no snow, and temperatures are rarely below 10 degrees celsius (and that around 10 is for only few weeks per year) other parts are mainly 15+, and most of the year is 20-40 degrees celsius.

Photos of winter in all three regions:

seacoast Dalmatia winter:

That's more or less about winters overhere, however, Croatia can offer much more during spring and summer. In general, I'd say that quality of life is pretty high despite the fact that we don't have so good economy people still live very well, even though, they are not always aware of it because of lack of experience of living-working-spending time in other parts of the europe/world

To not forget, there are also two regions I didn't mention, Slavonia- Eastern part of Croatia with high agriculture potentials, similar winters to Zagreb.

And South West part of the seacoast (popular called North seacoast) its a bit more windy and colder than Dalmatia during Winters but still no long winters and no snow and stuff and very very high quality air- people with asthma and similar breathing diseases coming to live there from all over the Europe.

Dalmatia seems more like what I'm looking for, even though he mountain picture are really nice. Now the killer question is going to be is it possible to live there and eat thise awesome fish an tuna on budget? I have to admit I'm not a baller like you Frank and budget would be something like $600 monthly.

Im not a baller LolBox.

However, you can live in Croatia with $600 monthly. I'd say that its something close to average, however, average in Croatia is nothing like average on the west, and you'll need to rent some place to live in bcs you obv dont have anyone overhere, so I'd say its not sufficient to live comfortably tbh you'll need at least 1000€ monthly to live more or less confortable.

Health care is also free, and its very good, thats a pro.

idk, Maybe 800€ would do it, depends on where would you live..

this post above looks like mess i know,

that was me thinking about it through the post.

What I wanted to say is that 600 bucks would be sufficient if you were local with some place to live and connections/ relationships in the town you live in.

As a foreign with no place to live, it's not sufficient and it would be far from a comfortable life, and you won't eat nice fish and stuff.

If you would like to have enough budget to go to nice restaurants eat nice food, travel through Croatia, and enjoy it overhear, own a car or something.. you'll need like 1500-2000 euro monthly. Only the nice apartment to rent in Dalmatia would cost you 400-500 EUR plus utilities..
