with my luck they'll figure out how to grow the organs in a dish and there won't even be pig-human chimeras walking around waiting to get their organs harvested. what a sad world that would be.

Be honest. You just want someone to eat you. Or, at least, part of you.

In a little less than two hours, I will probably make a return to the local felt. Not sure how smart that is because I have been nursing a headache all day, but I have to get back on the saddle sometime.

Last night was very unusual as I felt nothing at the table and you would think after such a long layoff, I would have issues with emotions, but I didn't.

And I started to run out of gas at the three hour mark so I called it a night in terms of poker and went out into the slot area of the casino.

I put twenty dollars into a penny slot machine and very quickly almost tripled my money. But still, I felt nothing. I played until I was back down to around my original twenty dollars and I cashed out having earned twenty tier credits.

Definitely need to see if I can figure out what is going on with me before Vegas or it will end up an unfulfilling trip for me, but profitable for others as I will be Slim Pickens cousin, Easy.

I have come to the realization that I am probably depressed and this is what is probably causing my insomnia and lack of desire to do anything.

Now I know and knowing is half the battle.

It is a small step, but I feel I have accomplished something.

I make notes and they have been going into a baggy lately along with receipts. Among these notes was a proposed itinerary for a big two week, three city trip and I really wanted to find it.

Well, what I accomplished was finding this itinerary and getting rid of the trash. It made me feel good.

I was hoping to find my proposed Vegas itinerary, but no such luck. I should be able to recreate it though.

Before I could make a payment through their automated system a couple of months back, the gas company made me schedule an appointment so someone could come out and take a look at the meter for some reason.

Today was supposed to be that day and nothing. I have been sleeping off and on most of the day, but I would have woken up if they had knocked. Plus there is no kind of hang tag indicating they had been here and I didn't answer the door.

I will admit I am ****ing scared shitless.

I am sitting in an emergency room waiting for my wife who is coming by ambulance due to a cardiac event.

I have to look on the bright side. I insured the Vegas flight.

Had some anxious moments. I do work in a hospital, which is one reason I call myself Doc, and this was a probable hospital she could be brought to.

I alerted our ER nurses' station that my wife might be brought in and I was waiting in our lobby, but she didn't show up and she didn't show up.

My sister suggested I call my wife's work which was something I didn't think about in my panicked state. I called and her direct supervisor didn't know where she was taken.

Knowing which ambulance company had to be the transporting service, I called them. I was told she was brought to [name of my] hospital and had been there for nine minutes. I told him I was at that hospital and she wasn't here as far as I knew, but would check again.

Thankfully, he was right, and I am with my wife as I type these words, but they are keeping her overnight.

She has had a cardiac PET scan and we are waiting on the results.

This is the second cardiac event she has had in the past six months and the last time they stented her. I think this means if she needs anything further, it will be a bypass.

If that happens, there goes my solo Vegas trip, but she is my wife, my love, my life and definitely worth it.

Well, the cardiologist has been in and my wife's perfusion rate has improved from where it was before they stented her. They could stent another area, but it might cause more harm than good.

They are adjusting her blood pressure medicine than it will be a bit of lunch and then home.

I'm not too familiar with medical terms and procedures.
I knew a guy who had a similar procedure done to his arteries.
He claimed that ironically, it might extend the life span compared to somebody who hasn't. So, maybe it's not such a bad thing?

My ex wife went through an episode where she fainted and was hospitalized for a couple of weeks not too long ago.

Good luck.

There was one detail that I kept to myself and that was the fact that we were waiting for the test results in two different places.

She was at the hospital, but I was at home. Knowing that hospitals aren't places to get sleep, we made the decision for me to go home last night.

We had been having trouble with the lock on the front door being hard to unlock and I couldn't get in the door yesterday so I came in through our garage. When I got in, I was turning the lock and it broke. In the unlocked position.

I locked the storm door, barricaded the hall, went to the master bedroom, and locked that door before going to bed.

I wanted to be with the wife, but felt I had no choice to stay here until a locksmith could come out. First one I called couldn't come out until Thursday, but he recommended someone who has just been here and the broken part has been replaced.

Fix the broken lock, $106.70. Peace of mind, priceless.

Either you live in a small town or are closer to your ex wife than I am to either of mine, but I don't keep track of them.

Now, I do keep track of my first ex's husband to a certain extent as I am waiting for him to pass on so I can dance on his grave. Not because he took a wife away from me, but for something else.

lol. My ex doesn't even live in the same country!
She's in Germany. And I wish her no ill health and am glad she recovered but, if it wasn't for the kids, I wouldn't care what happened to her.
My kids are grown but still live with their mom.
My daughter moved back in because she wants to continue her masters in Germany and unfortunately for me, my 21 year old son is a macho mama's boy. He's into martial arts and a fitness freak.

A macho mama's boy. If they had an emoji for a spit take, I would be using it right now.

New front door lock is working great. Smooth as silk.

Wife is working. Literally. She called me a little while ago not happy. They work in teams with a manager for each team and her manager walked her to the lobby to meet the ambulance crew yesterday.

Well, someone on another team started the rumor that my wife was walked out by her manager because she had been fired. Rumor starting is not cool anywhere especially in the culture where my wife works so she will be saying something to the rumor starter's manager.

Wife's hospital stay was probably due to a medicine that should have been reduced in strength so they are having her take half the dosage she had been taking.

Wife spent some money on stuff recently so to balance it out my Vegas poker budget gets to increase by same amount.

Now the roll will be worthy of taking a photo if I so choose.

My wife keeps getting waited on by celebrities.

She had breakfast served last week by Dwayne Johnson and her toes done by Jackie Chan. This week she had her nails done by Mr. T.

Of course, these are people who share the names of actual celebrities.

But my wife did run into a local, female weather forecaster when getting her nails done.

I better hop on out of here and get to the casino, but I am finding it hard to leave.

I had our home audio system just randomize some songs, none were any that I've heard before, and I've like them all.

I know a poker playing neurologist who comes to my home casino every couple of months. I asked him about my tinnitus once. He said it was all in my head.

I would never do it, but I can see how people are moved to suicide because of tinnitus.

As I was driving home today, I saw a panhandler which made me think of a question.

If they are in need of money, where did they get the sharpie to write the sign?

Getting older sucks sometimes like today. After eight year, I decided to get new glasses so I went for an eye exam.

I was given the option of them photographing my eyes or dilation and I went with photographing as I didn’t have a good experience with dilation.

Unfortunately, the tech saw something which required dilation anyway.

The eye doctor comes in and tells me I have the beginnings of cataracts.

Great.

It's considered a good investment that helps with nice returns.

There are some panhandlers that make good money.
