Well blog one was just me bitching about a run-in with a creditor over a receipt for a settlement I made last week and it was so ****ing boring I got bored typing it, however I like the name and I gotta keep mother****ers off my block.
I would make some grand plan about what will be said here, but yea I'll either quit posting on 2p2 again or simply ****ing forget this exists. But hey, 2p2 wants me to have a blog, so I will.
I got a haircut today and I've avoided hearing something about my ears getting lowered despite talking to two old people I see pretty much every day. Running hot.
On my way to rural east Arkansas for a pre-trial hearing. It is the worst. Circuit judges still ride circuit (though not by horseback but wtf knows) down here.
I find it frustrating because there is an element of essential unfairness about it as it leads to longer periods before going before the judge simply because there is only a judge in the courthouse every fifth week.
Also the courthouse was built in 1906, has no AC, and no faucet or sink in the one bathroom that was later added.
So I discovered that there were actually two bathrooms added to the 1906 courthouse and one did actually have a sink (though shoddily attached to the wall with clear signage that it was not to be leaned on) but variance was one of those old school towel machines that was a revolving spool of the same towel that just rotated as it got progressively more soiled.
Did not know about the porn star, but my nickname predates Sean Combs' use.
Nut, I graduated law school and get results back next Friday on the bar. Work for a lawyer right now and will start practicing as a partnership pretty much the minute I get licensed.
Just ate so much Endless Shrimp. 1x Wasabi, Alfredo and Scampi, 2x Fried Shrimp, 7 Biscuits. I've seen some people on here that put me to shame but I'm proud of myself.
Got hired by a family for another one of these "go to rural Arkansas and try to save our family member" things. Getting stopped for drugs + gun in one of these small towns is essentially comparable to the town's first murder of the year due to the possibility of a life sentence. It is a stiff penalty and they pursue it hard. So today we ride to Desha County,
I grew up right across the border from Fayetteville and have a lot of family over by Ft. Smith. Are you planning to permanently settle there in Arkansas?
Yea the plan is to stay here. It's what the GF wants as she has just constantly moved around her whole life due to preacher dad and piss poor academic first husband who could never get tenure. She's opened up a practice here and I'll be joining one. So I do think I will be staying. Plus, I do really love it up here. I had a lot bigger group of friends in Shreveport, and part of me wants to go back to that, but honestly every time I'm driving around here and see some rolling hills off in the distance, or go to get in my truck and can see all the way to Springdale I just get excited.
I always wanted to live in the mountains, and these aren't no Rockies or anything but they work for now. I wonder if I'll ever get tired of coming north on 540 around a bend and seeing the University up on a hill miles away. I don't know, the surrounding scenery of the places I have lived has always been so non-descript, there is just something different about being somewhere where you constantly see stuff that you find pretty/interesting/majestic/etc. This is also why I drive adjacent to the University every time I'm going to or leaving from work. Plenty of majesty around there too.
