So, I've been playing NL50 for about a week, turning $50 into $100. Just now in a matter of two hours I lost $50. I got destroyed. I did not handle some variance well and I tilted. I got into pots with over cards 8 hands in a row and had none of them pair up. I got 3-bet post flop after my flops all missed and just had to fold, 8 hands in a row. That was a good $20 right there. In 200 hands I did not get a single pocket pair, no AK, ONE AQs, and so started playing more hands and got myself into some bad spots (tilting), trying to rep hands I didn't have, unfortunately the villian seemed to always have it. I know, 200 hands is not a lot, but man its rough when you aren't getting a single hand you want to play. This is my fault. I should have kept disciplined or just stopped playing.

So far NL50 is my favorite to play. The 3-bet and 4-bet action is more prevalent and gets more respect. I do have some things to work on. One player just kept playing right at me. I was folding to his 3-bets and I think he thought he would exploit me this way. Truth is I was playing hands I probably shouldn't have, so I let them go before I got stacked. I think I should have 4-bet him to see how he acted. I was spewing so much I really didn't want to put those chips in for 25-30BB.

Hands to follow if I can figure out how to get to them. I stopped using a HUD on purpose. I want my brain to get in the habit of keeping track of game info. The HUD is barely useful on anonymous tables anyway.

Mods,

If you can please just delete this thread here -> http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/sh...17&postcount=1

that would be great. Apparently I got a little out of line as far as subject matter.

wow, not doing it right. Read something about bankroll management. With $50 you should play nl2 or at best nl5
Who said I only have $100, or $50? Not complaining either, just saying I got destroyed. You're reading way too much into this.

I don't like your getting rid of the HUD instead of adjusting to it but good luck.

My first sentence does not say I only have $50...try again.

it took you nearly a week to turn $50 into $100 playing nl50, then from that precipice, disaster.

Yeah, that doesn't answer the question. Whether I'm good or bad is not in question. I just started playing. What is in question is whether or not you have reading comprehension issues, since you do in fact somehow insist that I only have $50 to play with. Additionally, since you want to insist that doubling my money sucks ass, you don't even know how many hands I play, how long I play, or what, so....there's that buttload of unsubstantiated assumptions.

Oh, and go argue in someone else's thread. You're so busy trying to be right in something that you clearly aren't that you just look like a tool. I don't care if you won WSOP. You still look like a tool. Get lost.

Please elaborate. Is playing without a HUD going to prevent me from becoming a better player? I eventually want to play at the Casino in live games, so I don't want to grow to rely on a system I won't be able to use in live cash games.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

hey man I'm sorry, you got me all wrong. I was just trying to help you out. I didn't mean to denigrate your ability or your wins, you're just using a type of phrasing that poker players generally use to describe their bankroll, not their buyin . so let's straighten it out, how much money do you have, in total? poker accounts, bank accounts, cash, resale value for all your possessions, all totals to what number, exactly?
