Re: Cause and effect

It is an option with freezing the eggs and I will definitely use it the next cycle. Basically the next cycle is the IVF treatment. That is first strong hormonal stimulation to produce as many eggs as possible, then fertilization of them in a petry dish and then two of them are transferred into uterus on the third day and remaining are frozen.

This cycle was to late for that, but not to late for some conventional things. For me is now the question if I use hormonal stimulation now or not. In my usual cycle I was producing one egg cell. If it increases to two, then it is OK and the probability of the pregnancy is increased. But if I get 3 or more large follicles, then the possibility of triplets and more is increased.

So I am trying now to have a crash course in fertility treatment. Basically to research, which hormonal values beside the follicle count and size I have to monitor to reduce the risk of triplets.

And what enrages me is this fricking dumb german law. I mean if I want to get this treatment, I will have it, even if I have to immigrate second time in my life for that. It is so stupid. Don't they get, that if a woman really wants to do something with HER body, she is gonna do it. And such laws only make everything more difficult.

Re: Cause and effect

Started today with hormones
75 IE menopur.

Possible things to go wrong: A LOT. Mainly: ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome, multiple pregnancy and growing of a third boob.

Re: Cause and effect

Much luck to you, lapka. Such an exciting time. I wish you all the best. Do you know anyone who has been successful with this treatment? I took a brief look at the description, and the side-effects seem in line with some other hormone treatments.

Take care of yourself.

Re: Cause and effect

I am so grateful for living today and not in the past.

I am grateful for modern medicine in so many ways, I thank the inventor of a todo list, whoever it was, because it makes my life manageable and I am grateful for my education, which allows me not to depend on a man to provide for me. That are spontaneous three things, which would be different only 100 years ago.

I'm happy to see positive thoughts, lapka. And kindness to jmakin. You can't fight that mothering instinct. No matter how it comes out.

I will never be a junky and I should really try to avoid diabetes. Injecting myself everyday sucks after a week. I can't imagine how people do it for years, not even for a highest high you can get from heroin, or whatever else you can inject.

Re: Cause and effect

again decisions:

I have 3 follicles, that could become a baby. That means risk of triplets. Do I risk it and try this cycle, or not? Could does not mean will. What to do? Should I stay or should I go?

That are difficult decisions. And to call or not to call with 2-outer.... Who cares.... even if it is 10k $ decision.

Re: Cause and effect

I have already said that, but that is something, that the life shows me again and again. I have awesome friends. I mean really awesome. I don't have many, but those who are in this category are really cool and interesting and have proofed again and again that I can rely on them.

There is this guy with asperger. He works in IT support. We have met through work. He is phantastic cook, he does huge amount on introspection and how he deals with asperger is inspirational for me. He has a tight grip on his budget, he works out on regular basis and he has two cats.

He also totally could work as a psychotherapist. He never gossips. When I tell him a problem, he always, really always, has a comment, that immediately makes a problem smaller.

I asked him, what should I do with this decision. I mean if I should try to get pregnant now and accept a certain risk of triplets or not. Usual answer would be something along the lines " It is your decision.....". Not so with this guy. He told me what to do and backed it up with very good rational arguments. I probably would have done it also without any advice, but now I am calmer and I don't chew again and again on how "poor me. So on my own with so difficult decisions. And what should I do. woe woe woe".

Such positive possibilities! And the fact that you will never become a junkie is an additional bonus!

Best wishes to you.

My youngest granddaughter is not quite 2. One day, we were looking at something silly on YouTube, and she saw a beautiful little girl in one of the side windows. She touched it, and her love of Mawa (I pronounced it the way it looked) began.

What animation! My mom was Polish. Listening to these cartoons is so enjoyable to me even though I can't understand a word. Our favorite is one where she keeps getting dirty and the bear keeps making her new clothes.

I've been checking on eBay for Christmas items. We're both smitten.

In the last scene: "And my outfits! MY OUTFITS! WE FORGOT THEM!"

The Bear is a perfect man : patient, forgiving her sillyness, handy, big, takes care of things, prudent.

That's the one! And now knowing what she said at the end makes it even funnier!

I'm amazed at the quality of this work. I've seen a few Sponge Bob in my day, and there's no comparison. My little one just loves that pig.

Re: Cause and effect

I like food. Not only eating, but also preparing, gathering, growing, killing. Yes, I have killed some chickens for chicken soup in my distant youth. To have my own meat is now out of question, BUT some other things are totally possible.
Where I live there are a lot of abandon apple trees. They have been cultivated some years ago, but since farming continuous to get less and less profitable, they are abandoned since some time. So I went out and gathered some apples.
It is totally not worth my time in the sense of money, but it gives me calmer mind. I am less anxious and things generally seem to be right, when I am doing this kind of things.

So anyway here are this apples and 4 things I have made from them.

Apples: about 7 kg. They are not so pretty, like from the shop and I had to evict a worm from basically everyone of them. But they are really tasty and guaranteed without any chemistry.

Some of them have been immaculate and even without a tenant. I have put them in a decoration bowl.

Breakfast: peeled, sliced apple with some oats, milk and roasted sliced almonds on top.

peeled, sliced apples with cinnamon sticks, some cloves and sugar (approx 1 kg sugar on 1 kg prepared apples). Cooked everything together on low heat to a winter jam. Smells like Christmas. Filled over in 4 glasses and put cinnamon sticks and gloves also in these jam glasses.

Pork filet on a bed of apples. Put a filet in a pan and roasted it on high heat for approx 10 min. Removed it from the pan. Put a sliced onion and a sliced apple in the same pan roasted on reduced heat until cooked. Added about 50 ml of calvados and some cream. Cooked another 3 min. Put the meat on top. Salted and peppered along the way.

Re: Cause and effect

I HAVE to work on a project. I have to deliver certain things tomorrow by 10 am. And I don't want to. I procrastinate as bad as it can get. How to force myself to do things, although every fiber of my brain shouts NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

Usual strat in dealing with procrastination is to force myself to think about this "NOOOOOOOO". What are good, legitimate reasons not to do this task.

It is highly frustrating. It is acquisition. That means that I get a LOT of rejection. On 100 proposals I write, I get about 5 "yes".

I don't have now a really good option, whom to acquire.
There are some companies in south Germany, with whom I think that they might be interested in our offer. But I don't want to spend time in south Germany. I hate that. I want to be in Hamburg, in the North. In northern Germany .... I can try my luck with some potential clients, but it is a whole lot worse match/more work/lower probability of success than in the South.

FK THAT. It makes me wanna binge and gambol.

And I mean with frustration I can deal somehow. I mean rejection.... I am old enough, to have been rejected so many times in so many ways, that I can deal with that.
But this other thing with location... It gives me a feeling that there are no good options. Whatever I do, I am fkd.

So I am gonna go through our options in the North again. Pick 2 of them and write. It makes absolutely no sense to send anything in the south. I just don't want travel there and be there for any length of time.

edit: and I am gonna to report here, when I have finished

Re: Cause and effect

YOYOYOY!

2 proposals in the northern Germany and one in the South. I just could not skip this one in the South. It is so exactly our profile, that I am completely sure, we will have it. And I have made a price a little bit higher for them, so that I could be less resentful, if I have to go there.

edit: And it was really not so much work, but my inner resistance, that had made it a toughy.

Re: Cause and effect

I very much enjoyed your adventure. I swear, in another life, you could have been a member of my family.

My aunt, (my mom's older sister) visited an apple tree similar to yours every year. She cooked and canned many of them for use at Thanksgiving. My favorite was applesauce, where she cooked the apples until soft, put them through a grinder, then added sugar and cinnamon.

Everyone enjoyed it cold except me. She would heat a bowl in the oven for my special treat.

Your stories always seem to touch some memory in me.

Re: Cause and effect

Got a job offer, from completely different industry that I am now.
I am now in technical area, and offer is from an insurance. I have some experience with financial math, so it has sense. I will definitely go to the interview, and if I take it or not, is gonna to depend on how I like the atmosphere. Have to research, what is sensible salary in this industry.

Re: Cause and effect

I like a lot of different things musically and dancewise.

I like and can dance that https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1JpaqEgaeo8
I like also that and for a certain period in my life was raving hard https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IY5Ejus6kgc

I have certain holes in my general cultural knowledge, due to growing-up in Soviet Union. An I remember how cool I had found Doors and Deep Purple, when I heard them for the first time. I still find them REALLY good. But I have hard time to find in todays music something I like.

just had put in youtube "2015 music"....... immediate impulse to rant. It is just plain boring.

edit : I should weaken my statement. There are things also today that I find good: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eco4...9HM57ct0ntnJ6E

Very good work of putting together music and video. Music in itself would be boring, video in itself also not really interesting.

heh, oh the fall of Soviet Union, was still a little child back then, the song that pops into my mind when I think of it is this one: ( song came out like 5 years later fwiw)

I recall silly foreign imports coming in and how it was perceived as cool to wear some fashionless clothing from west, like "West" caps (ciagrette brand)
