The other day I lost 60, ive been playing too nitty with little variance. Tonight I went to the charitable as it was right next to my house at a bowling alley. I never do good at this location...
The first table had a bunch of lag players, I couldnt get a bet in edgewise and wound up bleeding off 60 bucks b4 finding another table. This one was better, people werent just in every hand and raising me out every time. I targeted a fish who was there for bowling and got him allin. Another hand I had a guy try and bluff me out when I had 3 queens already, I managed to wind up 120, I wasnt feeling it at all tonight and im lucky I managed to hit some cards.

Oh yeah I had another garbage 2 pair vs low straight hand, he hit a 5 to make a straight and I had q 6. And I lost 60 right at the end with more garbage because the villain slow played set of jacks on the flop and I kept betting 15 till the river and he raised to 30 and I called,I should be learning about that by now huh? I havent made crap off two pairs and most of my losses come from them, I have to ditch two pair hands from now on or something.

EEW... I got into it vs a old fish, king on the board and I had kq, I know hes fishy so I called his allin, turn came king=he had k3 and made his fh on the river... Then I made money and people were accusing me of being loose aggressive??? Me? Got kicked out early due to snow and lack of players, and then I lost my phone when looking for another game.

Found the phone under the car seat, Itll be days b4 can play again unles I pay 8 dollar rakes at the casino. The bankroll says I made a few bucks, so thats not a bad thing.

2.5 buyins but I actually made money tonight- up770 on the year. Im happy with most of my play, it was nice to be able to run people ragged a bit although it didnt make me much money= variance. im gonna try and keep up the less than super nit play and see how it works out.

I ran into a brick wall a few times, but I had the table image to pull those semi bluffs off except they hit. Im still gonna do more of the same the next time I get on a table like that.

EEww! im not happy with my play tonight. The first table I bought into was a bit lag, I loosened up and did well but then they were short stacked so I moved. I did well at table 2 also, up around 200 on that initial buying. A "Buddy" kept telling me to move to his table of "fish" So I moved...
Down 400 on the night, and ive never done well at the "buddies?" table.
\ plAYING TOO LAGGY WITHOUT THE SKILLS TO BACK IT UP- m going back to my nit style.

One pivotal hand on the night, I have some garbage and at this point im just representing some ace or something. I bet the turn leaving about 50 behind= OOPS.on river I bet allin but he called with 22 and won~!@#$%&

hopefully someone noticed how bad i PLAYED SO IT CAN PAY OFF SOON.

oH BTW we have families of gypsies who play in the room. One of them won 13 dollar payout voucher from the bar we were in but couldnt cash out without id gypsies dont do ID. I tried cashing it and the bar stole the voucher and refused paying. In other words when I go back to this bar im bringing beer in my pocket- they are thieves and never getting a dollar from me. think Ill piss in a glass and pour on the pool table when I get a chance, slimeballs offering video gaming but wont pay out.

If I guess what happened, I started witha plan. When I saw a few of my folded hands turn good I went on tilt bigtime. It worked for a little while but I cant do that.

OH NO! another night of frustration. Here was the plan- drink less, and make money. I drank less, usually I have a few b4 even going to play. The first hand of the night was ace king and I bet got a caller bet the flop and they folded. 2nd hand was pocket queens.-

Starting with about 220 I bet 12 preflop because more than that usually makes everyone fold and it was only my second hand. I had two teenagers to my left and then Pitbull JR, a young hispanic with cheap jewelery, the dealer and in #1 was the old guy who won 200 off me a couple weeks ago with 666, then unknowns. They all folded except the kid to my left who called. The flop came something like 927 rainbow, I forget exactly but there were no obvious straight draws and no flush, I bet 40 thinking any 2 aces or kings would come over the top, otherwise I was getting value. then an ace on the turn, I stumbled mentally and bet a weak bet of 25??? Kid went allin covering me! 5 hours later that was his most bold move of the night?
I pussed out and folded and he showed jj!!!

The rest of the night I think I played well, but made no money. I was like a car in the snow, just spinning my tires.
A few funnies- a drunk Asian at the table started talking about trannies and how much they charge for a bj? A drunk was running around the room with a brush and putting it on people he knews head, you shouldve seen when he did it to the young blonde dealer, she was seriously distraught. I outed myself as a stoner by smoking a j and then coming back to the table, LOL. It wouldve been even more fun if I made money.

I played for about 7 hours and never got up over 40 bucks, wound up down 20 on the night. The weird thing was I was the table captain alot of the time, I was betting and they were calling/folding/whining about my bets as they folded. But I just never got calls when I hit monsters like a straight to ace with a royal draw if ace of spades hit, a quad 10, 5 different pocket 2s(with a quad bonus on 2's tonight, that cost me some to see those flops) 2 pocket 3s, a pocket 6s, and pocket 7s all in 6 hours= I wasnt card dead, just couldnt make things work. There was a black middleaged guy who did a great job of info mining on this table. He would tank a bit and say something along the lines of I dont think you have... then tank more and fold, sure enough one after the other of us showed how we beat him, I have to learn tricks like that.

Well another grind at the local charitable. I started with 200 and did well or almost an hour and was near 300, then got stupid. I hit a trip 6 with 10 kicker and got carried away and lost a couple hundred to a k kicker??? That was stupid.
Then I got on a table with the "helpful friend" who said one guy was a maniac. I took my time and someone took about 600 off that guy and left right away. Then another guy nearly cleared him out and he was from 1500 to 300. I got the rest, and then things got fun. I hit a set, then a full house, then a set, and a few hands later I got quads after accusing the villain of having quads and he put me allin with his straight! I made about 1000 off my 200 buyin! This was my best night yet, it only took 4 hours. Note- I left b4 the room shut down, I have to do that when Im up more often.

I also recognized myself talking strong during the quads hand. I used it to my advantage vs some nitty regs who play alot on tells and got them to fold later by talking up my hands after they called my preflop= they folded without me having to risk much. I usually just stare down but there are some tells I must give off, I need to learn that side of poker. I usually only get strong reads off idiots. theres lots of regs I play with that I dunno??? I learned alot about one tonight, he left b4 my streak. Hopefully I can use my info on him soon- hes a fish.

RIDICULOUS!!! I went to the casino a few minutes away since no other games I know of local tonight. They have an 8 dollar rake! I made a few bucks lost it made it back and lost it.
It was snowing today so even thought there was a 20 person waiting list when I showed soon we were on a short table. We asked for a reduced rake and the manager gave us 7 dollars, I thought he was joking but it was true. It came down to 4 players and a 7 dollar rake and the other 3 players were short stacked. I told them to either split the table or I was done, there were 2-3 empty seats at other tables. the manager said my option was to play 4 handed or leave. I left but hung around, they had one more enter the table and told them all to play 4 handed or leave. They all left and then the other 3 tables each had one empty seat. WTF??? Where I usually play they break the table and do high card for the empty seats. This casino would rather have us go home than offer us an empty seat???

I guess raking off 2 tables vs 1 helps the casinos bottom line, F them.

I played again, long drive through snow but there were lots of tables. It sucked, right off the bat I hit a set of 4 and bet 15 all folded and thats how that table went. My "buddy" was there but im questioning him. I met him at the rooms and he seemed a reg when I was a beginner. Now I see that hes a butt. He always berates people to no end, an elderly lady won like 20 bucks and he was going off about how she didnt fold and he didnt let up for an hour??? Finally I left to eat and the tight table broke.
On the nw tabl I lost a few more bucks and was 460 deep before a minor comeback and I wound up +20 on the night. \ In the end I won back my chips off some risky flush draws, its about time those paid off.

Another night at the charitables, 250buyin 220 out. I have to set some goals, so lets start with a 2000 profit by the end of this month, im at 800 from last month so need to make 1200. Thats on top of the 2000 I started the year with. When I make it im booking a vegas trip to make up for that cancelled one.
Tonight the table was good, I knew a few opps and the others were pretty loose. I was up around 200 most of teh night and doing my share of pot theft (meaning a few) Then I just ran into a couple of flush draws from loose opps which hit on the river vs my made hands. I made a bad fold when my j made a q high straight. I bet 45 and then a guy I know went allin on top, and another called. I gave them too much credit, we all just had a jack and they shared my money. Ill be back this saturday with my goal in mind. Ive learned alot the past few weeks but I think I need to tighten back up now that the regs know I can bet on more than the nuts.

It was a long snowy drive, I got there and back safe though. The room was dead, two short tables. I got informed that there was no action from the table and proceeded to take the first 6 pots uncontested, no callers. Action picked up with the guy I call pitbull jr, he joined and won like 500 in an hour Then his girl was calling and he was ready to leave up on the night.
Time went by and I was hovering, the table was really bad and it was call, call, call. It was the worst night ever for my folded hands, they kept hitting and then the others would bet alot and mine wouldve been good. I went out to smoke and then outside I lost my lighter, so I came back in.
Less than ten minutes later and I was up to $800 and pitbull jr was headed home, perfect timing. I left soon cashing out 760, up 510 on the night.

I got paid by slowplaying pocket aces, slowplaying a strong hand is one of my most profitable moves, and playing two pairs is the worst.

Well, its probably an excuse, but maybe I needed to lose to learn. I made alot in the past couple weeks and proceeded to lose all my profits on the year. Im back into the bankroll. Maybe I got stuck into the volatile style that I won it with?
I had one night on a table with a maniac nd he just managed to win some big pots with garbage. It was the kinda player I want to be against and If I could do it over and over I would. Then I had a night with just a couple big bad beats and some fat dude tilting me while a new to me guy took my money. And tonight I ran into the same guy and it was like a brick wall, every hand he was just a little better- im playing big pots too loose. I need to learn more so ill buy the crushing microstakes tonight.

300 up, there were people fighting over getting on that same maniacs table. I did well enough and I never had the nuts all night. I tightened up after my luck streak and the guy I won it off wound up winning huge the last hand of the night- now he wont remember me LOL.

I have to learn deep stacked, I typically always get there but bet too much so sometimes I leave broke. realistically 2-300 a 5 hour night isnt a bad goal and I have to start taking that and leaving. I hit that goal regularly.

To crush low stakes live all you have to do is value bet when you have it and fold when you don't.

This will net 10bb/hr minimum.

Ive been playing really bad by basically lowering my standards. I lost all my profit and now im down 500 on my poker career. I see people all around me betting frequently and winning. Then I loosen up and lose alot quick. They all suck and I have come to realize im just seeing them win shortterm. Im tightening back up.
One issue im having is certain players figure me out and know im quick to fold postflop so they are making money off me by just cbetting. Another issue is lowering my range, im not gonna change my range to other players, but ill adjust my betting.

Tonight I hit quad 4 on the flop of44k. I called 2 and the last better bet 10 and I called. Turn came and it was 44 kk!!!, I bet like 10 and he raised so I went allin vs his full house, beautiful!!! I did ok after that and all my folds were great and I never went to showdown losing. Up 470 on the night, first profit in almost a week.

Some examples of the past two weeks, I went from up 1500 to down 500. Aces, i bet got raised by a shortscack allin, one caller and I put him allin, he had 99 and hit his set. I had qq and got beat by aces which is ok. AK with a flop of ace 6 2, I went allin and villain had ace 6. Last night I had top pair top kicker and went allin and got called by a low flush draw and lost allin. And ive been making more than my share of dumb plays, its like hours of patience and then moments of weakness.
Tomorrow/today is back at a golf country club. Should be alot of money on the tables so wish me luck!!!

Tonight was more of the same. Alot of players wanna be a poker pro or something and are constantly in hands and raising. They are relentless but I recognized that they suck so instead of going in with marginal hands like them I watched them lose and rebuy. Some kid was on add meds or something and wouldnt stop saying the weirdest stuff. Then he left and another guy took the stage and just wouldnt shut up for 3 seconds all night long.
I hit almost 20 pocket pairs tonight! I folded many preflop, they didnt hit anyways. I hit a quad 4 that paid off a little bit. I hit a set of 8 that lost to a straight. A couple did hit sets but I dont get paid because I must be doing something wrong. I shouldve done my usual slowplay moves and I woulda prolly got paid a bunch but I couldve got sucked out on also? i managed approx 8 dollars an hour on the night which is better than losing I guess.

At the end some guy who always does an allin to push people out did it to me. I had ace 9 hearts with 2 hearts on the board. There was 15 in the pot and his allin was about 250. I folded and then some other idiot was saying how hed never fold that hand. The poker pro wannabe showed an 8 9 airball, he does an airball allin at least 5 times every night, ivve seen it and know that but the flush draw wasnt worth it, Ill get him next time.
