Well, still running good. Wish I had at least final tabled again, because that would be quite the accomplishment. I should just be thankful to have made it as far as I did, though, as I was nursing a short stack for much of the later rounds that I survived. The idea of binking another tourney and just leaving it all behind to travel the circuit has been lingering in my head. I think it's affecting my work productivity, but hopefully this will soon pass.
I'm turning 29 on Thanksgiving Day, is it getting close to being too late to take my shot? If I leave my job and try this out for a couple of years, but want to come back, will opportunities still be there? Maybe a career change would be necessary if I want to start working again.
The semi-professional life remains good. I'm making a good amount of money (pay raise at work, cash game income, tournament scores)... but it's all about that dream. I'm content, but I want to be
happy.
